Conan had been on the opposite side of the station when the murder had happened, and so when he comes across Joscelin's body there is a moment of mingled shock and grief. For all the murders he had seen, it had been rare for the victim to be someone he knew.

But he shoves any emotions aside. Emotions were not use when it was logic and deduction that he needed.

The cause of death was simple enough to figure out. But he needed more.

The least he could do was make sure that justice was done.
