Onward: Orange
On the second night those still on the train may be woken by rough seas, the train lurching and rolling in the waves.
If they manage to sleep through the choppy waters they might instead be woken by the voice over the ICPs. "Orange team to doors. Orange team to doors."
Those that head the instruction and exit out of the luggage carriage or dressing room doors will be met with a strange sight.
The sea is glowing. Or at least part of the sea. Underneath them, from where Bui lies there is a light that shines upwards through the dark water, rippling over the water, breaking into specks of light in the waves.
It seems it is time for another investigation.
Night Dive
The water is even colder at night, the water eerie as they make the dive down to the city. The whole city is lit up, light reflecting off shells and coral.
The light seems to be coming from the far palace. Outside the palace there is a sigil, in the shape of a shell, glowing brightly. It had not been there before, nothing to suggest there had been anything special about that patch of ground. Yet it glows now.
Crabs
The city of Bui, until now, has been peaceful, eerily empty even. But as they investigate they will find a different problem. Some of the giant crabs have found their way to the city. Not overwhelming numbers, but enough to be a problem, especially as their aim seems to be attacking the sleeping citizens.
On the Train
For those who remain on the train dawn brings it's own problems. Dawn breaks into darkness, the sun barely penetrating. Shadows are deep and the temperature cooler. It is not too dark to see, more like an endless twilight.
The seas remain rough and choppy, like a storm is brewing.

"We may want to pause our efforts for now, and seek proper shelter."
Everything is closed, from as far as Webmind can see - the Internet and Quatre did good work down here.
"Shall we check that no one is at the doors, then retreat?"
no subject
Safety took top priority. Getting thrown out into a raging sea was not safe at all for anyone unprepared to be there.
Quatre moved towards the doors, bracing himself against the walls so he could look.
"No one is there."
Had to check the Discord - I'd asked this exact question earlier, fortunately. XD
The doors, fortunately, let themselves be closed.
"The same for the Dressing car?"
... They should probably make sure all the clothes are still in the car, for that matter. Whoops.
Woo
Quatre followed after him, glancing back at the door, watching as it closed. He was glad that it did. The door really should stay closed with the rocking of the train.
"Yeah, let's go and check on that."
Both cars were important. They shouldn't have either being flooded or items going out to sea. Quatre was determinedly heading to do what he could there.
Think this is heading to thread-wrap?
But it wasn't soaked, and despite the still-cracked mirror it was otherwise tidy. Perhaps someone else had checked on this earlier.
"We'll close the doors first, on this one."
Again, as long as no one was outside.
Yeah I think so
"Good idea."
Quatre moved to the door, looking out into the water that lay just beyond. He waited a long moment, holding onto the wall to scan the water. "No, it doesn't look like anyone is out there."
And with that, he moved to start closing the door.

With that, Webmind busied himself with (A) the other door and (B) not slipping and falling.
This was proving to be a rough day for everyone all around!

It was a very rough day and probably not likely to stop soon.
"Looks like that has been taken care of."
