Maru's eyes fell closed. He was calming down. He hadn't fully realised just how much he had been feeling panicked until that moment. But as he knelt and let the other stroke his hair, he could feel himself settling. His focus was returning and he could think more clearly.

He knew that when he had the chance he was going to have to talk to Madoka. It was something he hadn't realised before, something he hadn't considered an issue given that they were stuck so close together.

But there was even more to consider, that his panic hadn't made him realise until that moment.

His eyes slowly opened.

"... When we die here. We come back, don't we?" He asked, head tilting to look at Taiki.
