adregem: (think about it carefully.)

"I got a copy of the transcript - I'll show you when we get back onboard." Roland is referring of course, to the broadcast on the train right after language was scrambled and power went out for a moment. Whether or not Senku would be able to derive anything from that is for Roland's faith to find out. For now, as their collected items sit pretty by their feet, he is unnerved to find that when Senku relays the science of their predicament, he's just faced with even more uncertainty. No real, clear answers, even for someone who seems so sure of his knowledge over the physical realm.

He takes a deep breath after Senku speaks, looks around, taking in Jema'grethy from where they're stood by the train. There's a lot to cover, and if Roland is honest, Senku's science is something he'd ask someone else to advise him with, back home. It was above his pay grade, and he'd happily leave Senku to play with these theories because he knows when he's out of his league. For now, he tunes in to one particular fact that doesn't necessarily bother him, but turns him curious.

"That might be why time has been such a luxury on the train. A friend of mine, Tidus, has been trying to get clocks on the train for a long time now. Since we first met, in fact. I tried ordering one from the shop with very specific descriptions, to help him." He glances at Senku. "If I get it by platform day, I'll let you know. It might help you find answers on that front."
