The Mountain Top: Grasshopper 25
After the strangeness of their second day on the island for some, with memories and conversations in a cave, the third day goes calmly.
At least until mid afternoon. As the day winds on into evening all of those who have been sharing memories with others will feel a pull.
A pull to climb the mountain in the north. It is a good feeling, that mountain is where you need to be. A sense of belonging, friendship, camaraderie. You don't need to be alone, just climb the mountain.
For those that climb they will find worn wooden benches spaced around the lip of the caldera in concentric circles, the centre set up like an amphitheatre. The Jema syrup spills from crevices around the edges, running down from the peak in well-worn grooves and channels.
The sun sets slowly on Jema’grethy, slowly sinking into the ocean over a period of a couple of hours. During that time pairs of Voidtreckers will feel drawn towards the syrup, to touch the surface.
When they do they will receive a memory and find themselves back in that cave once more. For those watching it is as if they are in a trance, lasting a few moments.
People feel moved at different times and so there are always people aware, sat around the mountain top. It might be that there are other friends they wish to speak to about what they see. It might be that they wish to sit silently and avoid everything, if only their friends will allow it.
But it is a place to be together nonetheless.

The Final Memory
The final three to approach the syrup are Minako, Nita and Enna. Like everyone before them they enter a trace. They remain and remain. Longer than the pairs... Perhaps it is because they are three?
But moments turn into minutes. They have still not awoken.
Anyone looking in the direction, or indeed anyone still down on the shore will notice the headlights of the Voidtrecker Express switch on, light shining in the twilight.
The cave the three girls are in fills with light.
Back on the mountain top there is another pull. This is fainter, much easier to fight. But for those that will... They are moved to touch the syrup once more and when they do they see a final memory.
When it is over they find themselves on the mountain side once more, where they were before. Nita, Minako and Enna wake up.
(OOC: The linked memory contains a content warning for plague and parental death by plague/disease)
Re: The Final Memory
But when they all awake, there is no Umbreon in her arms - and as much as she wants to hug Enna, something whispers that she'd probably have appreciated something fuzzy to pet more.
Blinking back tears, she shifts closer to her partners, looking about-
And...
How about that? The headlights were on. That earns a brief smile, though it fades quickly in the more metaphorical light of what she'd just seen.
"... Enna? Do you want a hug?" Best to make sure.

(Beach) Valley Low, Mountain High; OTA Morning, Afternoon
Is that a humpback whale, in the purple ocean?
Yes. Yes it is.
After an embarrassingly long time (to her), Nita realizes this will be the second time since becoming a Voidtrecker that she's had the opportunity to swim.
And where there's swimming, well, why not fin a little too?
She doesn't much mind the stares - and, if anyone asks, she'll happily oblige them with a ride.
Afternoon OTA (Before the Final/3rd Memory)
But eventually the beachtime fun comes to a close; when that calling comes to her (after many have already felt the pull and vacated the surf - strange!), she tidies herself up and picks a fresh change of clothes, something more comfortable for hiking.
One can find her at the lip of the caldera, though she is not very talkative. Contemplating, waiting.
What is she going to see - or See - next?
[OOC: Will match tense as preferred!]

She's departed from the cave, settling down into the island for the evening, when some strange memory flashes behind Zelda's eyes. Not her's- not master Gerome's either, despite the earlier two coming from him.
Zelda sinks into the beach sands, folding her head into her hands. "All right," she murmurs, focusing on the details: a boy, some others, a rocky world surrounded by stars.
"So what am I seeing this time?"
Mountaintop
The mountain calls, and Zelda answers. What else is there to do but trust in the hands of the gods?
(Or those of these planets, she supposes. Wither way, it doesn't sound sinister.)
Either way, she finds herself up on a peak early, quietly meditating. It's very odd to do this around people, as others gather on the mountain, but surely the principles are the same as they were in dying Sheikah villages. She'll manage.
2! Have a whale.
/Want to think out loud about it? ... Or mind-to-mind, if you're all right with that./
Nita was using the Speech, though for the moment it was 'out loud'. Perhaps if no one else came nearby...

Romeo hadn't climbed the mountain, instead his new friend Xander had flown him up the mountain and it had been so much fun!
He's not too worried about whatever is going on here. Memories are strange things, he has so few of his own.
But if anyone looks scared or sad he will clamber his way over to them, with an encouraging smile or even a hug, or a dramatic hand clasp if they are friends or other kids.
After his turn.
When he comes out of his trance he looks a lot more subdued. Tears brim in his eyes and he sticks near Xander, quiet and sad. He sits and hugs his knees, watching everyone move down to the syrup one by one.
Anyone who approaches still gets a smile, but it is a sad one, an attempt to keep the spirits of his friends up.
Before
Perhaps the mystery behind Eva's strangeness will be resolved today, but all that can come up in due time.
Have a friendly robotic wave, Romeo!
"This view is quite spectacular, isn't it?"

Taiki had climbed up here with the others. He's not too sure what is going on, but the memories he keeps seeing... Xion's memories. They are strange. He knows he is not the only one seeing such things.
He sits next to his king, mostly just watching the others. He will approach anyone who looks to be very alone though, especially if he knows them.
Anyone who approaches him and Gyousou will get a small smile in greeting.
For Xion and later Gyousou
Once they have spoken a second time in the cave they are back where they started, crouched over the syrup on the mountain top.
Taiki looked at Xion and smiled softly at her. "There's someone I want you to meet..."
For Tidus and Inigo
Taiki was a little worried about Tidus. About many people here honestly but Tidus was a friend, a good friend. He could at least be relieved that Gyousou was helping Inigo through what was happening but Tidus...
As the evening goes on and after Tidus has been to the syrup Taiki moves over to him, looking for Inigo to try and communicate with his eyes. He sits next to him.
"Hey..."
For Lea
There is someone else he needs to speak to as well and so as the sun continues to set he makes his way over to Lea. He gets a nervous smile but then Taiki's face grows serious again.
"Hello Lea..."

< Before M3, Morning - For Senku >
So he waits by the parked Voidtrecker, their arranged meeting spot on the last day of the island vacation, arms crossed and eyes closed peacefully.

This was just cruel. Why did he have to climb to the top of the mountain? He didn't even have the cache of items he built up with him, nothing more than the knife and axe at his hip, and a pack full of light plants.
Senku had not been underselling his physical abilities to those he'd made comments to. The walk's not that far, but it's kind of steep and at an incline and before long he's breathing hard, but his face is determined. Taking his time is a waste of it, it would be better to get to the top at the very least.
Then he could find a bench and promptly collapse on it to catch his breath.
Once he'd accomplished that, he opened his pack which was not empty but it was filled instead with flora that was light and easy to work with, like the stems of plants. He took out his knife and split it apart and began then twisting and weaving it in together to make himself some sturdy stone age rope, since the other rope would disappear he was told and he wanted to keep his tools in functioning order, also it gave his hands and mind something to focus on.
After
It was less about the memory he'd seen, but the one he'd shared that shook him a little bit. He came back to awareness when his escape was assured from the cave with a bit of a gasp, and a realization that he'd had a tear slide down his cheek.
He was quick to wipe it away and lean back to look up at the sky in reflection.
This was a reminder that he couldn't lose sight of that particular goal. He would ensure that he got the answer they needed to fix Tsukasa. It was a small comfort that Nita had told him time wouldn't pass without him.

Aziraphale | OTA
Despite the strange happenings, somewhat awkward at that, this short island stop still hasn't really been the worst that he could have expected. Granted that there's clearly some less-than-pleasant magic business going around, which is indeed making him a tad more cautious, it doesn't seem to last very long as it happens.
Besides all of that, it's been a delightful break. Some fresh air, hot springs, the beach, even the ruins. The opportunity to stretch their legs and not feel so cramped. It's a strange balance between tension and much needed relaxation, and Aziraphale does at least try to focus on the later part.
During the beginning of the day, he's around the spa areas again, the hot springs, beach, the ruins, often accompanied, but sometimes caught in some short moments alone. He may ask other passengers about their experiences with these strange mental links, but never prying too far. It's all just a bit odd for everyone, isn't it?
By the end of the day, something tells him the top of the mountain would be a nice place to go on a hike together with a certain
demon.
Closed, for Crowley
As he comes to, it takes him a few seconds to realize he's looking at his own hand, still emerged in that blue and pink syrup. As awareness returns, he quickly jerks his hand back and stands, taking a look around.
No time seems to even have passed. They're still on the top of the mountain, and several people seem to be stuck in a trance themselves, others apparently having awakened from their own. He looks at his hand with a displeased frown, before turning to check on Crowley.
He hesitates at first. "Did you...?"
AYYY
It was his own memory that stung worse. Seeing Alice's past was certainly horrible, but compared to all of the cruelty he's experienced at the hands of humans over millennia on Earth, it was another grain of sand on the beach. The awful experience of losing Aziraphale again, however, well... if it weren't for the glasses his eyes were normally masked by, they'd probably look very wet.
"Hm? Oh, yes, ngh... I'm fine."

Kaiba knew very well that climbing the mountain wasn't among his usual list of daily activities. It was almost time to return to the train, but here he was...with something calling him. Probably linked to the bizarre memory bleed of the last few days.
For better or worse, he was seeing this through to the end. He eyed the center of their little stage, looking around at familiar and less familiar faces, wondering.
after
Eventually, he stood side by side with Della and moved in, falling into a trance once more. Inside, they drifted ever closer, and what they shared was difficult to put into words.
When he came to, he pressed the heel of his hand into his eyes, gently grasping Della with his free hand as he steadied himself. No reason for that, of course. But as he walked back to his bench, he felt...lighter, somehow. Content.
One last nod at Della, and then he moved to check on his
friendsallies, one hand set on his temple as he adjusted to a strange new feeling."...I think I've had enough voices in my head for the week. You?" More of a joke than a serious complaint this time, but there was a twinge of truth there.

Curufin | OTA
As the afternoon fades into evening, Curufin is about to go to the hot springs again when he suddenly feels a tug at the core of his being. He is being tugged towards the northern mountain. What an odd world this is! But he is interested in what might happen next, so he heads for the mountain path and goes on up.
"Didn't know I was going hiking this evening, maybe I should have brought my mountain-climbing gear?" he remarks jokingly to whoever is on the path with him.
Reaching the top of the mountain:
He looks down into the caldera, sees the amphitheater setup. "What do they do here, stage plays in a volcano?" he wonders aloud. "I'll bet the actors get a standing ovation when they finish a performance without being doused with lava, or if they survive the volcanic blast and take a bow."
He walks down amongst the benches, sits on one for a while and watches the sun sink out of sight. Soon, though, he begins to feel yet another compulsion, the urge to touch the syrupy stuff that is leaking and flowing down the sides of the mountain. He can't resist his own curiosity, so he he climbs to where it will be possible to reach the syrup, and he touches it with his hand.
Wham! He's back in the memory cave. And then, only moments later, he's back on the mountain. "What the hell? AGAIN???"
After the final memory, if that's ok!
She looks... tired. Mentally exhausted but this can't wait. Or, at least, she doesn't think it should, because what is a Leader if not the one who looks after their people.
"Got a moment?"
That's fine!

The light, strange as it was, was warm where it touched the him. The breeze cool and smelling faintly of flowers.
As mornings went, it was possibly the calmest, most relaxing he had ever enjoyed in his life.
Walking up that hill: It was his second time climbing the mountain, but this time he wasn't sure why.
Gerome thought to question it, debated with himself on turning back, even as another foot followed the next. The path was well worn, he was clearly not the first to have made this ascent.
The question was; why?
The Mountain: He sat away from anyone else. Why he had scaled the mountain, he didn't know. But the calm of the morning had dissipated for Gerome. His mask was back on. He kept himself away from others, head lowered, gazing down at his hands.
What was he doing there? What was going on? And why was he feeling another pull to touch that strange goo?

[ Who doesn't love a good mountain climbing? Della's so cheerful about it, she even hums a little. If she notices anyone having difficulty, she offers a hand. ]
C'mon, we're almost there! You can do it!
Post-Memory
[ That last memory had been a doozy - for both her and Kaiba. She's taken a seat, silently staring at nothing, hands knotted together. For those familiar with her, seeing her look so sullen may be startling. ]

PLOT and also for people to bother Enna about that memory
[Enna exits the cave with Nita and Minako, but is quick to split off- Not out of anything negative, but because she has something she knows she has to do.
With everyone gathered on the mountaintop, for everyone to come out of the cave, Enna puts her fingers to her lips, and out comes a shrill, piercing whistle, loud enough to easily grab everyone's attention even through any talking happening. It's loud, and obnoxious, and she can keep it up for a surprising amount of time, until she's certain she has everyone's attention.]
I'm Captain Enna. This isn't my ship, but I'm still gonna use that authority just for right now. Everyone needs to listen up, 'cause this is important. Nita 'n' Minako 'n' me all saw some weird stuff. I'm gonna summarize, because it's long, but if you need more detail, Nita can use some weird magic to show you the memories we got directly.
There was a previous group of people on a train like us. Previous Voidtreckers. Some of you know about them already. They went to places, like we do. They saved people, but they did act kinda like mercenaries. That part's not important.
We found out more. They ended up in a weird... space war. Something happened- We're still not sure what- and almost all of them were wiped out. The survivors wanted to fix it. They tried to go back in time, to fix it.
I got a memory of... later. Of someone who had their eyes and ears taken, their feelings taken, left with only the ability to go forward, and a purpose.
I think the train we're riding, now, is itself the previous group of Voidtreckers. If anyone else has anything to add, if anyone else knows more about this, step forward and share the information now.
[She just steps backwards after she drops that bomb, indicating that she's done talking.]
ii. the other memory
[Of course, after all this is done... Enna did just rewatch the worst moment of her life. Not only that, but so many others saw it, too. So Enna's just going to sit on the mountaintop for a bit, gazing off into the distance.
If you want to check on her, or meet her after you saw her memory, now's your chance.]
plot! OTA I guess?
This is important, she knows and while those who have seen it are here, right now.. that doesn't mean they'll always be.]
Enna-chan. Nita-Chan. Minako-chan. I can't speak for Orange and I can't speak for the Council, yet I can say I'd rather the memory you saw be shared with us. I've got Roro and Lele with me [-the rotomi in her pocket and the neongreen porygon2 in it's 'ball on her belt] and I'd like to record it so it can be later shared. The more people who have it and the more we can share it around, the better.

Misa before/after OTA
She wonders why she wants to climb the volcano. She's never wanted to before. Honestly, it's perplexing and frustrating. Her entire life has been dictated to her by other people; the wanting to climb a mountain should be her decision as well!
Still, she climbs, and she finds a place to sit. She looks around, scuffing her sandals against the ground. She's not sure why she's here, and she doesn't like it. "Why are you here?" She asks, quietly, to the person who approaches.
Right after (closed to Joss):
"Joss." She doesn't understand the importance of what she just witnessed from him, but she does know what he saw. And that... no. No! No one knows about that! NO ONE! The Mistress never mentions it, and it's a thing to be forgotten! She stares at the boy whom she'd just seen kill someone, a tear slipping over her face.
Her hand comes up to her mouth and she looks horrified. Oh, not at what he'd done, but at what he'd seen. She doesn't need his pity.
After:
Misa is angry. More angry than she's ever been in her life. She can't... Who the kriff does this place think it is?! How dare it reveal the one thing that she's allowed to keep secret? The one thing that is hers, and hers alone?!
"I hate this place." She mutters to no one in particular.
Right after
He’s pale and shaking and he doesn’t realize it, but tears are running down his cheeks, completely unchecked.
How dare they.
How dare they take these memories and show them like this? Misa had already seen him at his most monstrous, but now she’d seen how he began. How he’d killed a man who had been a far better father to him than the one who claimed the title, all because he was hungry.
And Misa...
Joss tamps down on a heaving sob. She’d been sold. Disposed of. Abandoned by her family and enslaved by a whorehouse that pretended it was too fancy for that title.
The boy finds himself hugging the taller girl, screaming his rage and pain into her shoulder.

After thread with Nita
She curses softly at her hair, stepping to the side on the steps, face ducked, to let others pass by. Maybe they'll ignore her, maybe they didn't see.
Re: After thread with Nita
"Persephone?" he said gently. "Do you...want to talk about it, a hug, or a tree house to hide in for a little while?" Or all the above. It bothered him to see a friend so upset.

Glorfindel was as drawn to the Mountain as any of the others, and chatted with a few people on the way up. It seemed an odd thing, yet, somehow social, and perhaps a little spiritual. He wondered what was going to happen.
After:
Having a few millenia under your belt gave you the resources to bounce back from seeing things like that. His own memory didn't bother him so much. He'd relived it in his head several times over the years, but his time in the Halls had given him the space and tools to be able to address his feelings about it. The Balrog. His House falling, elf by elf, in defense. Dying.
Cassie's memories were fresh, then Enna's on top of them. His heart ached for both young women, having to go through such things at such an early age.
What Enna, Minako, and Nita said and shared about the Train, however...that would take a little time to process.
Even though he'd only recently reconnected with his body, he sent his glow out to touch everyone on the mountaintop, offering warmth and understanding to anyone willing to let it in their heart. He couldn't solve everyone's problems, but he could help ease their pain, perhaps.
[If anyone approaches him and wants a hug, he will gladly give it!]

"You have only just remembered how to ground yourself again, and here you go again - you should not over-extend yourself!"
Never mind that their age difference is so small as to be negligible, some instincts are hardwired, apparently.

Khary - partially OTA
This... had been a very odd few days, and more than ever he wished he had Jaenelle to talk to. Well maybe not more than ever. That time when she had been missing when they were kids...
He shook that off and gave a mischievous smile to whoever was near. At least he'd have plenty of tales for the Coven and less edited ones for the boyos over many a long cold night after this. He chose to focus on that. To focus, as he often did, on amusing ways to make small amounts of mischief rather on the harsher realities of the moment...
Back in the cave, locked to Sonya
"Mother Night," he muttered under his breath. How many more times was this going to happen? Was the Tangled Web breaking down? was that why memories were mixing and overlapping? This one hadn't felt as... close. As personal. Did that mean it was being repaired? Was this a good sign that rescue was on its way or...
Did it mean all their minds were snapping under the weight of the constant psychic onslaught?
He knew Sonya was there with him again, but he had to do this, had to hope. He would appologize to her after, if it bothered her. Blood sometimes bothered Landens, and being ignored, even for a moment, sometimes bothered anyone.
He called in a knife from the kitchen and used it to make a small cut in one finger. He lifted the bleeding finger to the air.
"A prayer, offered in blood, to the Darkness," he said softly, the words having the feeling of ritual. His blue eyes closed as he focused inward, as he gathered his power, descending as fast as he could to the depth of the Sapphire. Then, using he blood as a focus he sent his power through the blood and beyond, keeping his aim tight, trying desperately to reach one specific mind. *Jaenelle,* he sent the name as a plea in silence. Spear to Distaff the thought flew.
But as always since arriving here, there was nothing where that dark, sharp, wonderful mind should be.
"And like shall call to like," he whispered, desperate, "and Blood shall be memory's river."
He stood still, as though the slightest motion could break him, focusing trying. For years he had tried when she was missing, locked deep within herself, within the Abyss. They all had. And now he was trying again, but this time he was the one locked away within his own mind, and nothing reached back for him.
After a long painful moment, a tear sliding down his face, he slumped like a pupped with his strings cut. The knife vanished as he landed as if on a mattress, though there was only air beneath him.
"I'm sorry," he whispered. They were the first words he had offered to Sonya and he offered them like a man defeated.
After - OTA
Khary wasn't usually the broody sort. He wasn't. But he'd be sitting near a small fire he made at the perimeter, staring into the flames as he sipped something clearly alcoholic. A makeshift bandage was around one finger.
Re: Khary - partially OTA
Then the scene changed..she saw herself once more in the mountains..the smell of blood. There was Kenshi, the Red Dragon..and..
She watched it as it played out like a nightmare, even as she turned, and watched as her younger self was forced to shoot a mother infront of her daughter. The woman was armed, and if she hadn't, they would've been trapped and turned to meat-paste.
Yet, even after all these years later, it made her sick. Killing in battle was a necessity, she knew that, and she knew the reality that prehaps some of those deaths did have children or families of their own...but to bring a child to the battle..to have them have to witness such trauma.
Then she was back in the cave..back with Khardeen. "Son of a bitch!"
She knew now these were memories, but why these..why this person? And why the fuck were they once more in this cave?
She frowned and slumped against the cave wall, watching him perform a ritual she could only call sorcery. To once more judge his reaction, she guess it failed. "What were you trying to do?"

With a nod to Mami she moved off, acting casually to draw as little attention as possible. She wants to just leave but that might be suspicious so she just clambers up a little to sit looking out at the ocean.
She's not the only one sat apart, so she thinks that is alright. After all everyone was seeing stupid things and if hers and Mami's were anything to go by, they weren't good.
She has no idea what to think, never mind what to feel. So she just glared out at the sunset, ignoring the hubub behind her.

He smiled at the young girl. "Heck of a thing, huh?" he asked, playing with the tassel on his flute.

The climb was easy, the trail was well worn and smooth, and Ichigo was at the peak before lunch. He found an empty bench and took a seat, smiling as his kitten instantly jumped up into his lap.

Roland makes it to the peak and as he scans the area, a head of colorful hair stands out from a growing crowd of other voidtreckers. Guess they all had the same idea. He walks over to Ichigo soon enough though, a wave of a hand to signal his coming approach.
"Hey," he says casually. Or as casual as a memory partner can be. "Great minds think alike, eh? I wanted one more climb before we have to go back, too."

Katsuya Jonouchi
[When the pull comes, Katsuya isn't so much in the middle of something as he is just 'chilling out'. Towel poncho still a thing, he glances toward the top of the mountain from wherever he is.]
Huh.
[Stretching, he stands.] Welp, not like it ain' abou' t' happen anyway righ'? Let's get goin', can't be tha' bad.
[AFTER M3]
Spoilers: It was That Bad.
Katsuya wakes up the way he would from most any vision, but with all the dread and agony of the memories pressing right down right off. Like all the calm he'd talked himself into simply disappeared- replaced with absolute mortifying dread.
The blond stands there, blinking a few times on the spot. And then, before he can so much as listen for any questions of 'what happened', or 'are you alright'-
CLACK CLACK CLACK-
Katsuya has smacked the evac-button on his SCA, and hard- a full three times, and he's outta there.
...
And in the Luggage compartment, he stares at the ceiling through the dark, likely still there atop some dusty suitcases by the time anyone goes to see how he's doing.

It's a while before Kaiba arrives. He sees the ritual through to the end, trying to ignore the strange new river of emotion thrumming through him, and chooses to view the train's memory. By then it's about time to go, so he hits the button and warp-lands on a pile of suitcases.
He's about to head back to the bunks when he sees a suspicious shape nearby. Oh, this is going to be a delight. He crawls up so he can sit and face him.
"Are you sick too?"

Reno | Final Fantasy VII
Reno tried to ignore the pull towards the mountain as long as possible. It was a nice feeling, gentle and caring, but that was exactly what caused his inner warning system to trigger an alarm at him. He was a Turk, paranoid and flighty by nature, and he didn't trust the inexplicable need to go somewhere to be with others no matter who they were. It set him ill at ease.
Eventually he stopped wandering around the area he'd last holed up in and glared towards the north where the mountain called out silently to him. It wasn't just getting annoying but it was almost worrisome by now. He had to go investigate the stupid trap and he hated the thought as soon as he knew it was inevitable he do it.
He was probably the one person who trudged up that mountain with a look of disdain and disgust and distrust and anger etched upon his face. No, it wasn't just the climb that had him upset. He was genuinely looking like someone pissed in his breakfast cereal. He wanted to punch something and if he hadn't left his baton on the train the other train before running off he probably would have had it out as if ready to hit something and electrify it with a full blast.
His mood didn't really change for the better once he got to the top.
II. After
He was fucking livid after the trap was set off and he came back out of cave from yet another shitty memory share. He was so pissed off at this island and the stupid fucking train that brought them here. His fists were clenched so hard his knuckles were pure snow white and his jaw hurt from the sharp set of it. His eyes were bright and dangerous and full of rage.
Reno did not want to be here. When he finally moved it was first to throw a curse at nothing in particular and then to move to kick the stupid lava that he had touched earlier that led to the last vision. That was a fucking mistake. One more fucking vision passed before his eyes and he was too angry to fully comprehend it at the moment. All he knew was that it was awful and full of more stupid shit and emotion that he didn't need in his heart or head right now.
Another part of him memorized it as easily as all things he witnessed whether he liked it or not. The part of him that made him the best at what he did, that made him the ace of the Turks. It's not that he was good at memorization but that he had worked hard at it for years so that his fellows wouldn't think him oblivious. He would consider it later.
When his own memory wasn't the most painful and upsetting thing on his mind at the moment. He hadn't wanted to relive that moment ever much less share it with some fucking stranger. It was one thing for him to brag about it like it didn't matter--another entirely for someone to have seen it and felt the emotions associated with that time of his life during the cutscene like quality of it. It fucking pissed him off--and no, he wasn't crying he was cursing into the wind again. He was kicking things, rocks and the stupid bench nearby, and avoiding the lava now. He was--
He was heading back down the mountain before anyone could stop him. He didn't want to be here. He hadn't wanted to come up in the first place, he hadn't asked for the fake camaraderie, and he sure as hell wasn't sticking around for anyone to fucking try to comfort or confront him about his raging curses at everything around him.
The redhead practically slid down the mountain. He thought about teleporting out with the emergency button but he didn't want to be on the train right now either. Fuck that piece of shit. He wanted to get lost and not be found. So he ran.
