On an observational level, Roland would realize that nothing could be more true. Senku was intelligent and passionate but his social skills were lacking. He could certainly and willingly talk all day long about his passions, but he had no interest in and stumbled over basic small talk. He'd try if he had to, but for the most part he tended to forget.

Sometimes, social conventions and cues confused him as much as anyone trying to follow his ramblings. Ultimately, people around him tended to just adjust because he never seemed to get better at it, nor was he malicious about it, but he could really come off the wrong way.

"Of course it's useful, because if you give someone something they want then they feel like they have to repay you and then after you do it enough you get new allies!" It was a proven way to make friends, wasn't it?

He brightened at the suggestion, because when he was at home he did have someone who did exactly that, smooth things over with people and convince them to talk to him and spill what they knew, and preferred Senku had as little as possible to do with the process. "That would be incredibly helpful. I'm mainly looking for what people do know about the train, the void, the locations and what they've done to discover these things so I can avoid repeating the same experiments, initially. Of course, repeating experiments is vitally important, when crafting your hypothesis but it wouldn't be my first step."
