Koumyou shifts how he's sitting, so that he can lean his head against the side of the pool in a more comfortable way. Even his long bangs are trailing in the water, just at the tips.

"Ah."

That's all he says, for a moment.

"...Well, I tried."

No angst about how it had turned out, at least. Koumyou's seen so much death, actively watched so many die, that it had seemingly changed his world view to the very core. Muichimotsu; hold nothing.

Of course, even that philosophy had failed when it had come time to watch his own son die before him. Instead of passively observing, the priest had taken the death onto himself.

But he'd found he was still pretty good at it when it came to a stranger, at least.
