Reno's signs of impatience fell away somewhere through the middle of the message. The opening almost had him rolling his eyes. But that disinterest changed as she got into the meat of her story. It caught his attention and he began to clearly listen with renewed interest to her account.
It was one hell of a story.
He could have dismissed it as nonsense. A sane person without context probably would have. But he was here on the train spoken of in part of her story, and there had been those other memories from Jema’grethy the island resort... and they matched up to her insane story just like the others had noted during their conversation with the girl. Whole worlds disappearing...it seemed insane but hell he'd seen some things in his time here and back on his world. What was one more crazy story? Might as well go with it.
Reno's eyes flicked to Curufin and then Roland as the two spoke. The Turk didn't have any grand words of wisdom or care to give to the moment--indeed, he didn't care about the loss of the girl so much but was instead more interested in the story she had to tell them and the information it provided for their ongoing investigation about this situation. Their whole situation with the kidnapping and the train and everything that was happening. So instead of showing some emotion or saying some nice, petty words his face remained impassive, eyes lidded as if he were bored. His mind was churning though, there was no denying that, his brows were furrowed slightly just enough to indicate as much.
He waited another moment. Waited to see if the rest would have whatever emotion they were wading through to get out of their system. Or if they would hop into business. Roland's idea was a good one whether it was emotionally led or not, so it was a start at least. What about the others.
