That's what friendship does to people - and the biggest key to getting to know someone is proximity. Take that factor out of everyone's hands, and...

They'll come together, if not naturally, then eventually.

"Everyone, you mean?"

Her smile falls; picking up the latest ball instead of kicking it, she hugs it to her side.

"We've only had one death, looks like. But people have disappeared, too; maybe not from the mission, but if they don't come back soon..."

It'll mean they're gone next platform, possibly for good.

"I know we're hurting, though; that last battle was an absolute slog. If we hadn't gotten that warning through Seto, I don't know if we'd have seen the saboteurs coming at all."

Could they have handled them through sheer force? Absolutely - but Nita didn't want for that to be their way.

"I've been on healing duty, off and on, and that won't be over until platform day at least. And we're long overdue for mental checkups."

Physical health, psychological health. Check, check.

"But we also need to get together, consolidate our information. We haven't had a council meeting in what feels like months, and I'm not sure if they'd even keep up anymore."

The roster list hadn't expanded massively, but it was still large, and if only a handful of people were active in the council, that meant people weren't getting heard, weren't making plans.
