What their Eyes See: Optional Ongoing
By day eight the Voidtreckers have made a good deal of progress in all their tasks but there is still a lot to do to help the people of the city.
It is around mid morning when there is a message on their comms. For those that want to help it is easy to either find Anan herself or ask for netpoints and scanners to be brought to them by Chiff.
Illusions have gotten worse, uncertainty and fear are rising across all tiers and the situation is becoming more chaotic by the day. Indeed especially on the first and second tiers it seems that the voidtreckers themselves are being targeted, with creatures stalking them and attacks on their minds to make them believe that what they are seeing is real.
Same inside the Spectura system, the vines seem to almost be on the offensive against the voidtreckers though things are getting better outside the game system as more of the vicitms are freed and wake up.
Almost opposite to the situation on the lowest tier, which is getting more chaotic by the day. Anger is bubbling over, people are frightened and in a place like this the only real way to express that fear is through anger.
There has been a lot of progress but there is still a lot of work to do, especially as many of the voidtreckers have started to realise, this all seems a little too familiar.

"Maybe. It is possible to track SCA's. Which makes it sound like this is a person rather than..."
A creature? A phenomenon?
"But if they can tell we are from the void... What is their goal? To get rid of us or draw us in?"
Sorry Ingio? Did you want to be in a conspiracy session, because now you are in a conspiracy session.

But he also didn't mind it. Even though he doesn't think he's very good at thinking these things through, or bringing up good things, he doesn't mind trying. Especially when it seems like Anan is working really hard on figuring it out. And Inigo.. well, he isn't the type to want anyone to have to work on something all by themselves.
"Well, the monster illusions weren't exactly.. friendly." Which would lead towards the 'get rid of us' option, right? Why draw them in, only to kill them if that wasn't the intention? It'd be a waste.
He glances over at Anan, a hint of worry in his eyes.
"If there really is something bigger behind all this, maybe it doesn't like us helping out worlds. Maybe-- Maybe it was something to do with those shadows."

Something that was anti void-missions though. That was interesting, she typed that down, starting a new document for ideas.

"Not here. It was during a previous mission-- a pretty long time ago now." It's almost wild to think of just how long ago that was. So many people he's so close to on the train now weren't even present back then. That long ago.
"The train sent us to help out a world, but after we had only been there a few hours or so, these odd.. shadows started appearing. They almost looked like clouds at first." That's what he remembers thinking, anyway. "And they kept getting closer and closer, but right before they could reach us, the train forcibly evacuated us from that world."
no subject
"A forced evacuation?" She raised an eyebrow. "If they were threat enough for a forced evacuation..."
She pulled a face. "I really hope whatever they are aren't mixed up in whatever this is."
no subject
But he does note Anan doesn't seem to have heard of them before either. Maybe they had something to do with that world..?
.. huh.
"Me neither, but it's the only bad thing I've seen on a mission that somehow felt like it.. didn't belong in that world, almost." It's a hard feeling to explain, but this is the closest he can get. He frowns a little as he shakes his head. "These illusions too now, but that's only since you and everyone else have been pointing out that they kept coming back during the last few missions." Look, they can't all be sharp geniuses who notice that stuff right away, okay.

Chiff vibrated, beeping softly at Inigo.
no subject
Inigo moves up a hand when he feels Chiff vibrate like that, as if he's gently patting the little thing.
"I'll try to look into it more." As much as he can, anyway. He's not that smart, but he can do his best. "But.. you and Chiff need to take care too, alright? If something really is after us, then they might go after you if they figure you're the main person trying to investigate it. I don't want anything to happen to you guys."
no subject
That had been an embarrassing mistake. "And from what I know of your team, you are pretty good in a fight, if it comes to that."
no subject
They've been in pretty big battles and actually made it through, after all. Last time with the demons, that time before with the robots.. It seems that, through a combination of all of their powers, they somehow pull through against any enemy.
"I'm not sure if you'd have any way of reaching me when you're in trouble in this world, but.. If you ever send Chiff over while you're in trouble, I'll come running right over. That's what friends do, right?"
no subject
"Thanks Inigo." Chiff vibrated and went into a long string of beeps and boops.
"Chiff says they will assist you whenever you need them as well." She waved her wrist. "I hacked into Gen's SCA so I should be able to call for help, should I need it."
no subject
Although hearing her translation of what Chiff is saying is even better, and Inigo grins madly, as if he's just the happiest bean ever to have Chiff's offer of assistance. That means they're friends too, right, right?
He tries to gently take the thing off his head so he can hug it in his arms another moment.
"That's good. I'm sure things will be fine then." No matter what happens. "I'll make sure to take some of those net points with me and get to work."
no subject
Anan smiled at the two of them. "Thank you Inigo, that will be a good help. Let me know if you need anything."
no subject
There, he's gently putting Chiff back on the ground so he can go back to Anan. Glad to have been able to hug you again, little pal.
"Good luck with everything." He smiles, taking a few of the netpoints before saluting at her with his free hand, and then turning to leave. "See you later!"
no subject
"I'll see you around."
