What their Eyes See: Optional Ongoing
By day eight the Voidtreckers have made a good deal of progress in all their tasks but there is still a lot to do to help the people of the city.
It is around mid morning when there is a message on their comms. For those that want to help it is easy to either find Anan herself or ask for netpoints and scanners to be brought to them by Chiff.
Illusions have gotten worse, uncertainty and fear are rising across all tiers and the situation is becoming more chaotic by the day. Indeed especially on the first and second tiers it seems that the voidtreckers themselves are being targeted, with creatures stalking them and attacks on their minds to make them believe that what they are seeing is real.
Same inside the Spectura system, the vines seem to almost be on the offensive against the voidtreckers though things are getting better outside the game system as more of the vicitms are freed and wake up.
Almost opposite to the situation on the lowest tier, which is getting more chaotic by the day. Anger is bubbling over, people are frightened and in a place like this the only real way to express that fear is through anger.
There has been a lot of progress but there is still a lot of work to do, especially as many of the voidtreckers have started to realise, this all seems a little too familiar.

The things he could hear, calling to him. Some of it sounded like static.
"I..." Demyx started, looking far away. "Don't know."
no subject
He wouldn't worry about it. It was obviously something the Voidtreckers were going to have to deal with, and fix as they always did. So they must have had the means to do so.
"Neither do I. We shouldn't linger."
He wasn't one for nonsense. And this was clearly having an effect on Demyx so the best bet was to get out.

He could hear someone calling to him again, but whatever they were saying was just a staticky, jumbled mess.
"I want to figure it out." He commented, resting his head on the ledge of the fountain.

The former was tempting. In his life back in his world, it would have been the decision he made.
The latter was team oriented. It was the decision he made based on his new life on the train.
"Sitting there isn't going to help you figure it out. Why do you think you're meant to be here? What about this place strikes you?"
no subject
"I...don't actually know?" He considered the question. "A feeling maybe. Like I should be here. Wherever it is."
Demyx frowned as he thought about it. The problem was that he didn't remember.
no subject
"A lost memory?"
The hitman had plenty of experience in such a thing. All his memories had been taken away years ago. Even so, certain things and places, people or situations, brought back some sort of...feeling. Indescribable. Not emotion, he couldn't associate with those. Those were taken as well. But something that clicked but not quite all the way due to the loss.
"Is there anything that you recognize? Anything at all that sparks even the faintest of ...feelings?"
no subject
He shook his head after a moment. "No...there's something strange but I don't know what it is."
Demyx reached out and dipped his fingers into the water of the fountain, just staring at them, but no, nothing.
"There's something about this place. Like I should be here." Even if it was in a dangerous state at the moment. Had it been when he'd been here? Had he been here?
"I really don't know what's going on."

"Then I'll tell you: it's an illusion. You're seeing what something else wants you to see based around your own subconscious thoughts. In other words, someone or something is manipulating you. Using your own doubt against you."
There was a pointed pause. 47 eyed the youth dispassionately.
"Does that suit you?"
no subject
"I'm tired." Demyx said instead, because as alarming as that might sound to someone, someone who was constantly in that position it wasn't the least bit shocking.
no subject
47 said with no inflection. Another person might have sounded annoyed or derisive at the comment. But 47 didn't care and wasted no effort in pretending.
But the idea of staying in this false vision and not moving to find a solution, to finding the culprit behind all this and either put an end to it or find some answers--that didn't suit 47.
"I have other things to do. You can follow me if you want out, or you can stay here and see what happens."
no subject
"I want to figure this out." Demyx responded after a moment.
"I'll find you later." He said, easily submitting to the illusion he was so desperately trying to place.
