He gives her a kiss on the head for that, because she does have a problem taking things literally. And it's just charming, because it means she's not too embarrassed by having a dad that does slightly dumb things like misread names or get flustered by people overcomplicating shit. She's a chip off the old unfortunate block, as far as he's concerned.

Though, strangely enough, he finds cats a little bit scary. Can't... can't quite figure that one out.

"Yeah. We'll go get ya a cat. A real cute'n'." Okay so... he kind of remembers how to make this pasta. Noodles in the boiling water, that's easy enough. Though he sort of remembers having a problem with cheese, and this one has cheese that goes in it. But... this is something they eat all the time, right? Why does he eat something that gets stuck in his teeth all the time.

Well, he's gonna eat it when it's done but it still seems a touch strange.

"Speakin' of which, if you see any cats wanderin' around be sure to call somebody to come get it. Keep gettin' calls about 'em havin' gotten loose."
