"Woah!" Jingyi throws himself backward to avoid the blast of fire, while the creature itself recoils and eeks like a small animal, waving those tentacles before it curls in on itself and waddles further away. The shape of it shifts further, its shell growing down its neck as the reaching tentacles pull back toward its body.

"A little warning!" he calls out, at first wondering if another creature had come barreling out all giant red, black, and white, but the moment of confusion gave way to recognition of the young man on Growmon's back. (Guilmon? Lan Jingyi wasn't sure.) "Takato? Guilmon?!"

Meanwhile the creature has skittered sideways from the first blast of flame, now sporting two elongated crab claws and a turtle shell on its back. Clicking its claws furiously, it charges at Growmon. Jingyi forms a seal and thrusts his hands forward, sending a blast of wind knocking the skittering creature sideways.
