Jingyi's plan was: tether the creature between Growmon's weight and the qi rope, darting back toward them too fast to be seen and forming a wind seal with his fingers. The arc of compressed air shot forward, carefully aimed to cut into the creature's neck and avoid coming into contact with Growmon at all.

One downside: he doesn't make it all the way through the creature's neck, but enough to sever something important.

The more obvious downside: whatever it is, it presently still bleeds a whole bunch. Everywhere. As it attempts to thrash in death throes.
