There are others as well, such as his father Fëanor and his mother Nerdanel -- both of whom were on the train for a while but are now gone, to Curufin's sorrow. He has another important person, Glorfindel, an Elf who is not a relative but was a friend and a lover. But he is gone from the train as well.
