The unwavering trust does something soft and sort of gooey to Lan Wangji's insides. He last saw it on the face of his son and his children, so very long ago and he had forgotten what it was like to be blessed with it. He half smiles at her as she falls in next to him and then faces forward, keeping an eye on their footing so as not to trip on their way down.
"The...kids team." says Wangji, flatly. Thinking mostly about child soldiers and how he would prefer there was no such thing. But the train takes what it wants, he supposes. It's not malicious enough to wish death on it's passengers.
"I do not think I have met him, you will have to introduce me." He sees they're coming up to the edge and turns to face her. "If you hold on to whatever feels most comfortable, as closely as you can then I can carry us over." He pats her on the shoulder to try and send some comfort where he can. "While we go you can tell me all about the 'kids team' and any other important people I should know about."
