Wings of Wonder: Start

"Good Morning Voidtreckers, today is day 6 of the month of Nebula."
The voice echoes through the train as passengers wake up in their beds. Not long afterwards their SCA’s glow with the colour of the void and a holographic image will appear...

The dressing room has been opened as promised. It is mostly equipment rather than clothing. Tents in team colours, bundles of rope as well as harnesses, belay points, carabiners and anchor points and helmets in team colours. Voidtreckers will have about an hour to prepare before they reach their destination.

WINGS OF WONDER: START

EVENT BASICS: Voidtreckers arrive on the centre island, covered in a high grass and other plants that may have strange effects on them (make them high, give them hayfever, dizziness, etc). Domesticated animals are trapped in here, and some habitats have been busted up. There's no one else immediately around (except for a statue, interact-able only by the spiritually inclined or those who can make such contact), and bridges between floating, smaller islands have been wrecked.

Team Destinations: On their SCAs, the teams will be signalled to the islands as follows:

Reds: West
Purple: North, South, East
Blue: South, East
Orange: North, South

The four different islands they are to go to are as follow:

NORTH ISLAND: Going by foot, the Oranges and Purples will be led into a large forest, where the tree branches and roots can be climbed along. There are creatures - hostile and not - amongst these, living in them, as the lower ground turns into swamp land. Traps have been set, and it's a long climb and trek, taking about an hour minimum before the Voidtreckers will reach the top.

Up here some kind of craft, and a red fog in the air. There are some dead sali present.
→ This area will need fighters, people willing to investigate, people willing to search for sali. It will need those interested in repair work.
EAST ISLAND: Blue Team are directed this way, though anyone willing to attempt negotiations here may be interested. The land is overgrown (again), and there's two directions to go in - north or south. To the north leads in direction of the North Island, where some sali are. They can be engaged with. To the south leads towards some buildings, large, the sali settlement. There are crystals in the way, stone monuments, and even the sali themselves. They can be engaged with.
→ This area will need negotiators, those who can win over the sali's trust. Those with evidence of their trustworthiness is recommended.
SOUTH ISLAND: Orange and Blue team are directed this way, as well as Purple. A red shroud hangs over the island, but not too much. Still, this will have various effects on the Voidtreckers; headaches, dizziness, blurry vision, even sickness. It won't start off strong, but they will have to work with this hanging over them while, in tall wheat-like grass, they have to deal with the sali on the attack. There are red-eyed/red-crystal sali, and then sali without this. Both will attack, but the non-red versions may be won over, unlike the other.

There are destroyed buildings everywhere, except for one. A large 2 storey building. A Forever One is here.
→ It will need decent fighters, those willing to work with diplomacy. Those who can deal with unsettled livestock and who can help the wounded. Those willing to help clear up.
WEST ISLAND: Reds are sent in this direction. The highest mountain is surrounded in a thick red shroud, birds swarming around it. They also search around the lower grounds too. At the base is a white forest extremely cold but not snow. There are monster-creatures here, and then also stone markers that have repelling effects to the Voidtreckers. Some also drain energy, but too much (and also being attacked) makes them blow up.

There is an unknown enclosure here by the mountain base that can be explored. Or people can go into caverns next to it to explore the interior.
→ Strong fighters are needed for this area, and those willing to explore and investigate. Those who can handle strong dangers, but also not exacerbate issues with force.

ARRIVAL ISLAND

ARRIVAL. "Please mind your step getting off."

The female-coded voice of the train speaks as the doors open. Voidtreckers should take heed, with the only way off being with a jump or tumble, landing in a bed of grass below. Very long grass, of greens, yellows, greys and light blues. They'll make a good dent with their drop, but they'll also find more around them, standing as high as twelve feet. Flowers, weeds and more tangle together, their scents strong and threatening to make you dizzy. Get too close to the purple flowers, and they'll offer you a blissful high just by smelling them. Or, are you experiencing hayfever, with constant sneezing and watery eyes?

It'll be a good idea to do something about this mess, just so you don't bump into each other - and the large cylinder containers spread about, meant for rainwater collecting. There are also animals lost in this mix, agitated by the wild growth. They'll need a calming hand to help them behave, and to not go around knocking into people while work is ongoing. There are pegs on the end of the ropes attached to their necks, that can be put back into the ground. ...somewhere.

TAKE TWO. With enough clearing and shredding, broken dome habitats can be discovered, wrecked by the plant-life. There's decent cooking pots within, utensils, bowls and other tidbits to be found, but no one else.

Outside, a reddish sky over mountains can be seen in the northwest, and over the south skies too. To the north are signs of smoke... and no easy way to reach anywhere. There are pieces of bridges between floating land, remains hanging resiliently, but not capable of being used without some repair. There are small clusters of land around, but none seem to float close enough to jump across - at least, not for anyone of average human mobility.

The Voidtreckers will need to plan how to move, and where. Flight and abilities over gravity will be useful, except those capable of such will find that their powers aren't as realiable as they should be.

Is this the case for everyone?

EAST ISLAND: HOME OF THE SALI

HOME ISLAND. Arriving from the centre island, there's signs of a clean-up job. Large masses of red and yellow grass have been flattened, creating two paths: one north, and one south.

Voidtreckers will need to continue to watch out for the thorns and pollen that persist in the overgrowth that hasn't been dealt with, their SCAs beeping to help keep them away from questionable growth. They should also mind the clusters of clear crystal stone around the terrain. They are magic, that much is clear even to those who can't sense such things. For those that can, given the weirdness that is happening with their abilities these rocks feel almost like their minds are trying to swim in jelly. As if their eyes don't want to focus on the rocks but also cannot help but try and focus. Like hearing a muffled half familiar song and not being able to place it. Focusing too long however, will make them all the more confused, delirious; others on the road will need to help drag them along.

Choose your path. To the south, the long grass obscures what lies ahead. To the north, large dome settlements can be seen at a far distance.

TO THE SOUTH. The south trail will take explorers longer to reach anywhere. The plains are vastly wider, ascending up hilly land, but there is more wild here than just the plant-life.

Sometimes, strange striped creatures can be found - usually, if a person gets too separated from others. It goes in for the grab, fast-moving, having some expertise to expect projectiles and to dodge. It won't stop running once they have someone in their clutches.

But there is something that can stop them, other than a Voidtrecker's attack. The closer they get to their destination, the more stone monuments can be found. Nothing grows wild around them, and they seem to give off a repulsive energy that even the Voidtreckers will sense, be even affected by.

They are multiple on the long road, confusing one's mind if they get too close for long. Making them see nonsensical visions, instilling a great sense of fear that spikes their anxiety.

And the most dangerous are the smaller markers; calming, even giving off a sense of relief to be near... but that in truth, have a draining effect to the Voidtreckers.

...but also, doing so does make them start to vibrate strangely...

...and then explode, if too many people past them by.

NORTH ISLAND: WEAVED IN GREEN

TANGLING PATHS. Entering the forest is much like agreeing to navigate a labyrinth with layers upon layers. Branches and roots twist and tangle every which way, offering a way up as the ground below becomes more like swamp land. Trees overtake as pathways, limbs wide enough to walk two people side by side, vines hanging like loose threads.

Has your attempt to move forward stranded you from others? Can you reach over to where you see another figure? Or have you fallen, caught in the tangle of the vines, even webs, in need of desperate help? Call - maybe someone can reach you.

PROWLING FOES. But those who find you may not always be a friend. Green Sprinters move nimbly, jumping from great heights to pounce upon the unsuspecting, leaping across tree paths and jumping against any surface to weave and dodge attacks. Camo Spiders make the webs that catch clumsy prey. Sometimes, they might not be near their webs - but they will always know when one's been triggered.

And for those who get the most unlucky, they may find a rather spacious opening inside one of tree trunks. Noses will catch a strange odour...an odour of death. They've entered the den of a tree bear, agile despite their bulky size that makes it difficult for blades to penetrate them. They're heavy hitters, as well as having the ability to make the tree branches move to their will.

HANG-UPS, HANG LOW. You start to see a sky, and if you're heading in the right direction, a rock wall. There's still a ways up, and, unfortunately (as is always the luck of a Voidtrecker), getting closer only provides more trouble. None of the creatures save the Green Sprinter appear keen to follow them too high, with the other creatures around disinclined in engaging with the Voidtreckers, there's still issues - ahead, and underfoot.

As slick substances cover surfaces to slide any foot or hand it touches, hard to remove; vines that appear safe to grab show tear marks higher up that will lead to dangerous drops if grabbed; and when they grab along the rock wall, the stone will shift, crumbling underfoot or even trapping feet in gaps narrower than when the foot first stepped on them.

Something - or someone is setting traps...

→ Mountain Top investigation

FURTHER INVESTIGATIONS. But maybe you don't end up top side. Maybe your investigations take you elsewhere, or the density of the woods has kept you inside. Is it curiosity, a desire to explore? Or just bad luck? But there's more to be found in these wild woods than just creatures. Those traps - they were surely traps, and there's more to be found, the rustling of leaves and vines that attract you deeper inside.

They don't make themselves known easily until an attack is already on an unsuspecting Voidtrecker. A throwing knife comes close to a head, feet, and then the wood is engulfed in flames that reach out and grab for you, a giant fist or like whips.

They prefer to attack and disappear rather than entering into full on combat. They use the trees as camouflage and try not to stay still enough to be caught or attacked in return. They are fast and if cornered will posture first with their horns, making them look bigger and more ready for a fight.

Talking to them will require time, patience and a good deal of diplomacy. However, those with crystals and eyes coloured red are less willing to listen...

SOUTH ISLAND: BLUE PASTURES

---

A MURDER OF CORN. Arriving on the South Island, Voidtreckers will find the land in a similar state as the one they started on, if with more cause for concern. Great dome buildings are visible from where they land in an obvious state of disarray, and a thin red fog with it. There's no immediate threats, but as they get closer to the settlement, the red substance in the air - while some has dissipated since they first saw it - offers headaches and unsettled stomachs, turning their vision hazy and unclear. And a feeling as if something is trying to probe their mind.

As they wade through the stiff blue stalks of a wheat-like plant, berry bushes and else, shouting can be heard. "Come out!", "Intruders!" It's difficult to figure their location, while above, the squawking of some kind of bird can be heard. The ground underfoot shakes and tremble suddenly, abruptly.

It's not the Voidtreckers those voices are after, but they may soon be, their obscured locations not staying so as the sali that slice through with sickles, with shovels, a red gemstone somewhere on their bodies, eyes the same. With a touch to the ground, they make plants grow wild and whip and grab, thorns as thick as ropes barricading their foes. Reason seems to work little with them, while others in this state - if not detecting an unknown presence - can be heard muttering about, "We're being attacked... have to find them..."

Worse is if they're found by one of the red-winged birds above-head, who fly up out of the way and spew either a red substance from their beaks, or beat their wings to cause winds that blow back even the sturdiest of Voidtreckers. They won't linger for a fight, but their smaller companions will. They use the overgrowth to hide in, speed as a means of knocking into people, to get away before they can be caught.

THE FARMING LIFE. Instead of a fight wit the sali, some might find themselves at the structures seen from the distance, as tall as two- or three-storey houses. They have suffered structural damage, from the wild growth piercing them, and from something crushing them from above, leaving openings where they shouldn't be.

Inside sheet-covered buildings, there are plants: purple vegetables with the texture of carrots, rising out the ground and merging like lattice screens that block one's way; stringy blue beans that hang from above like weeping willow's, and as annoying to see through; and patches filled with brightly coloured pumpkin-shaped bumby fruits. These, with too much pressure, will burst and let out a gel-like goo that sticks to skin and clothes, making it harder to move if not wiped off.

The roof reaches high, but so do plants, some which can be climbed. It's like an obstacle course, and inside? Sali; some with red eyes, making themselves known by animating the plant-life. They send the hanging blue strings to grab and try to entangle you, or throw the goo-like pumpkins in your direction. But then there are others, some sali hiding, trying to get past people, who'll couragesly hiss "Begone!" to anyone that finds them.

SHEEP AND BOAR. In other buildings, it's no less chaotic. One has been flattened in half by some great force from above, but who knows how. There's animal cries that can be heard inside, trapped by beams of wood and some steel; creatures between a sheep and cow, making sounds like ducks. Some have been killed by the structure, and a sali can be found in the wreckage meeting the same fate.

But there are more animals than just them. There are rows of animal barns, some wrecked, a few luckily untouched. And as for their should-be occupants? Around. Not everywhere has been inflicted with the overgrown grass, but you may be in the maze of it, hearing sounds that could be the cow-sheeps (woolies) or even some of the tall antlered creatures that had been on the first island.

And the most unlucky meeting is a boar-like creature that's rampaging around madly, startled, and only knowing to cause a scene until it runs out of energy. Watch out, for they're as speedy as they are bulky, dealing hard-hitting body slams, headbutts that can make people flinch (from being knocked over), and even has the amazing ability to curl up into a ball and start rolling around.

Wear them out, calm them down, or get knocked out!

WEST ISLAND: STEEL TRAIL

WHITE FOREST. For those interested in what the Reds have to do, or just interested in the sight of the mountain surrounded by a mass of red mist, their destination will be the West Island. Greeting those who come here is white: white dirt you might mistake for sand, large white trees with mushroom-tops, made from very fine fibres. Some have been cut down, by the collection of wood bundled for later gathering, with their fluffy tops used as coverings. Meanwhile, birds can be heard in the distance, their destination covered in a shroud of red, the avians visible as they circle the skies.

While there may be the opportunity to get lost, stone posts dot the environment, leading visitors (hopefully) in the right direction. Yet approaching too closely to these stones have a draining, repulsing effect on the Voidtreckers, that will make them want to stay away. Which isn't a bad idea...

Or, you could try destroying them. Be warned, that most efforts are likely to make them explode in a wide area. But it's good to find out once, right?

Finally, they will reach close to the base of the mountain, with the trail they've been following leading towards a high-fenced enclosure.

A SHRILL OMEN. But life doesn't stop at investigating one enclosure. Whatever the outcome of their findings, the Voidtreckers making their way around the enclosure to the east side will be led to what appears to be a mining operation, and a building beside it.

Some of the crates are empty, while others are layered with crystals, bits of stone. Inside the building, tools for mining and cleaning the gems that were dug out are inside. There's a few simple weapons along one of the walls, wrapped food rations found in containers; things that will last a decent amount of time. Dried meats and fruits. Also, jugs and flasks near blue and red liquids.

It doesn't seem abandoned completely, rather it is not being used at the moment because of the storms.

Up above the birds swarm, their cries heard. Patrolling avians will catch sight of anyone below if they aren't careful, with the Steel Wings commonly seen, and ready to attack. Their cries will alert more to come to where they are, and be warned: their feathers can be flung around like blades, tearing into tree and rock to try and crush people under the wreckage.

TRAILING STONE. In the face of the mountain are cave entrances, some larger than others. Each of the cave entrances leads into tunnels that work into the mountain. Most are quite large, built and used by Salis but also dark and very steep- the Salis being very sure footed, with stones glowing lights to give visibility.

Ropes and climbing equipment might be needed for those less used to sharp declines. The good news of course is the caves are free of birds, though unfortunately not free of Steel Weavers, more durable than their Northern brethen, with more than a few bullets needed to annoy them. Most of the tunnels are narrow, though there are larger cave areas, some of which have basic supply caches for the mining operation.

Gems can be found for those who go deep enough. Silver-coloured ones will explode if hit at too hard, and so battling around them can quickly turn deadly. But mostly this tunnel system is a very good way to navigate the West Island without being caught in the storm.

May this be the answer for reaching the birds? Can a path be found? But once the Voidtreckers reach them, what will they do?

Venturing on without figuring out a plan may not be the best idea.

Mission starts Nebula 6 (Sept 11th). This log covers the first 2 days. Ongoing goes up on the 16th.

Remember that it will take time to get around the different islands. Ongoing log will give time for more active planning to deal with the main mission objective (helping the sali get rid of the birds/red storm), while allowing the different teams time to communicate and plan. This log is to help determine relations, and showing what's the state of things.

SALI ATTACKS: Sali attacking on the South Island use more land-based magic, but not all use it. and may be able to enchant people and creatures with music, to attack for them (animals and Voidtreckers) or to confuse (Voidtreckers). Mostly, they have farm equipment, save the non-infected sali. They may have daggers and and bows and arrows. Physique go from muscular to lighter framed. They have basic to decent fighting abilities up close.

Those on the North Island will have a larger variety. Fire, ground magic, and more weapons. They are also stealthy and know how to hide well, and are expert fighters. They also deal with hand-to-hand, and have high strength. However, it is a mix. Some of the same kind can be found in the West Island caves for those who want to find any, infected.

Preparation

Another day, another mission, though Goku's blinking at what is being offered this time. Not clothes but climbing gear? He's bringing along his Power Pole this time around, though this seems odd.

"We're going climbing? Seems silly when a lot of us can fly, right?" he said, confused. Despite this, he'll get the gear. If the train's offering it, then there's a reason for it, right?

Arrival - Take One

Goku easily dropped down into the massive bed of grass from the train, though looked around at what was around him.

"Sheeeeesh. Can't see a thing out here!" he said. He had an idea - use a Destructo Disk to cut through everything and start getting clearings, but, well, with all of this around, he couldn't see anyone else.

"Hey, guys! Got an easy way to cut through all of this?"

White Forest:

This world was quite the wonder, but it was driving Goku nuts - he couldn't use his powers much and he hated that! But, for now, Goku was wandering the White Forest, trying to make his way to the next destination.

As he did, he stopped and noticed the strange glowing posts. "Huh, directions? Maybe" Goku uttered. When he went up to one, he stopped, grunting, and staggered back.

"Wha... what in the world?! What the heck was that?!" he yelped.

"A lot of us?" Tidus repeats. "Since when? Isn't it more like- ten?"

Or some number closer to that than 'a lot'? Because Tidus was trying to think through the people he knew, and he was coming up with non-flying types than ones who could.

Zelgadis Greywords | Purple Team | OTA

Preparation
Zelgadis knows how to pack for travel, and if the train thinks they need climbing gear, well, time to bring it along.

"Has anyone used this before?"

Take Two
Zelgadis is scouting one of the bridges. He has a sudden strong motivation to do this right, if only because it could lead to more points in his account. "How many people are we talking about needing rescue?" Because a small number could be lifted by the fliers. Large numbers meant they did have to repair the bridges, at least enough to find locals and ask them to help while they scouted further.

He knew a bit about engineering, but hopefully, someone else knew more.

Hang-ups, Hang Low

Of course, he stumbled into a trap trying to clear trails. And now his foot is stuck in a hole that doesn't seem wide enough for his boot. Yes, he could try to blow the ground open, but Zelgadis has figured out that the magic here is unreliable. So he is playing the game of trying to wiggle his foot out of his boot and hoping that he can retrieve the boot later. Or that someone has a spare. Zelgadis's skin is tough, but given how today is going, he'd rather have the extra protection of shoes.

"I thought these people wanted our help." Because this doesn't seem like a natural hole.

"I haven't needed to myself, but I know how it works." Trunks offers, coming over to the other. They'd seen each other in passing, but not been introduced. "I'm Trunks, one of the inventory managers for Purple."

Preparation
Trunks checked out the dressing carriage, and was less than reassured by the climbing equipment and supplies. Pulling out his Capsule Case, the storage-crate capsule was pulled out. Loaded up with extra equipment, as well as storing a set or two in his Arms Band along with his regular pre-mission supplies. Making sure he's prepared personally, before changing into his armor and going to help with team-loadout. If anyone looks like they need an extra hand, or help figuring out what the equipment is for, Trunks will step in to help.

Arrival
Once they're actually on the ground, Trunks now understands why all the climbing gear. And is glad he stocked up on extras. Going around specifically to anyone who looks like they might need gear, ready to pass out some of the extras he got. Or check in with people he knows or team-mates. Especially those who are affected by the flowers.

Heading North
One thing was clear, they'd all have to be careful how they got around. More so than usual, given the islands weren't spaced well for ease of movement. Flying was....harder, too. Trunks hadn't wobbled like that since he'd first started to learn. Which meant better to not push himself, although he could do so. He'll advise anyone else he knows who can fly to do the same, and be careful.
Attaching himself to a group that was going to the North Island, he'll help stabilize anyone who needs it while climbing--and is happy to fly (albeit more slowly than he might otherwise) over to provide anchor points. Or carry anyone who wants to be flown-over, as it doesn't seem like his natural abilities are hampered. Just those relating to energy-use. (Annoying, but not crippling by any means.)

North Island
As difficult as it is, Trunks'll encourage people to stay in small groups. Use the SCAs to communicate and keep in touch. Check in with each other. He'll be with one such group, wearing his armor with his sword obviously out too. Ready to take point, defend as needed, or help others through this jungle. They're having to do this the old-fashioned way.

North Island

Cassie is walking stride for stride with Trunks as the group disperses into tighter groups. She's smiling - but there's a bit more of a determined edge to it than usual.

Maybe it's the warpaint. Maybe.

"Bet you're glad to have a girl with a big rifle to look after you now," she says.

The wink is implied.

Seto Kaiba | Orange | arrival -> south

Kaiba really doesn't like the sound of any of this. Attacking birds. Red mist. Roughing it out in the wilderness. Regardless, he's prepared to do his job. And the first task is leaping off the train! Even with the heavy gear strapped to his back, he lands with a surprising amount of grace. Almost as if he's done this before.

Once they're all clear and the tents are pitched, he moves to stare at one of the broken bridges. There are no spare bits of material that stretch that far, but maybe...

"It's almost as if we're not wanted here." A snort, even as he starts to pile up material that could repair the bridge. The problem, of course, would be getting out there to rebuild it.

Eventually, he arrives on the south island, where the repair mission is to start. The red mist descends, and he finds himself wavering, easy prey to be knocked over by a swooping bird---

"Hey!"

And down he goes, trying to pull his polo up over his nose as he coughs. His head's swimming, which way is up again? Why weren't they equipped with gas masks?

Eventually, he stumbles his way to a barn, with obviously distressed creatures inside. This is something he can do. Kaiba moves to force his way in with the last few of his knives, weaving his way around jagged edges and rogue plants. He shoves himself in between two sagging planks to free a lost creature.

Its horns scrape him as it passes, leaving Kaiba to sigh tiredly. "One down...how many more to go?"

Caleb has a scarf over his mouth and nose. It's not the most filtering, but it's at least doing a little bit of work. He crouches down near Seto and offers a hand.

"There's some kind of mental component to this mist." Thanks, he hates it.

Xue Yang | The Untamed | Red Team

Arrival
He isn't sure what to think about this place. Tall grasses aren't that exciting for him. But he does rather enjoy the weird flowers that are giving him a little bit of a light head. He doesn't want to take in too much of that considering he has no idea what kind of dangers are out there. But he will enjoy that little moment for now as he takes in the scenery.

"I hope we are here to do more then a little landscaping."

West Island
This is exactly the kind of thing that Xue Yang needs on a mission. Monsters, fighting for their lives...it's all exciting. Even if his abilities seem to be a little dampened. He doesn't need enchanted swords to win a fight. He just needs his own skills with the blade.

He smacks away the feathers being flung at him with the blade as he tries to figure out how to attack something in a distance. He doesn't want his abilities to backfire on him so it is going to take a little creativity.

"Any ideas on how to bring those things closer?"

Caves
He folds his arms in front of his chest as he looks at the paths before them. He doesn't mind climbing where necessary but he also knows that they will be vulnerable as they try to navigate the slick slopes.

"So what is the best plan to get through this?"

He bends down and picks up one of the ropes. At least it seems to be fairly sturdy.

There's a loud bang and crash of sound, enough to get some of the birds to beeline towards them. The armored female figure that appears before him lifts her spear, striking one of the birds with lightning.

Ken gasps and winces, feeling more magic than usual get drained for the spell. He's fine, it was just a shock.

Cassie Cage | Team Purple | OTA

Preparation

As she readies her equipment and weaponry, and does the same for her fellow members of Team Purple, it should be readily apparent that she seems a little extra prepared for this one. She's applied eye black, and repurposed her makeup (among other unidentified-but-presumably-safe substances) as war paint.

One might almost think she's a highly trained soldier who's gone to war in difficult environments before.

She'll be there to help you if you haven't. Or if you have.

Arrival

Cassie is scowling the moment her boots hit the ground. She can feel it - all the work she's put in to becoming stronger and gaining better control of her shadow energy has come to nothing. Well, almost everything. She finds she can still fly - slowly, and unsteadily.

"Guess I'll have to kick ass the old fashioned way," she says.

Funny how quickly a scowl can disappear from someone's face.

North Island

She'll be in a group with Trunks and other Team Purple members - in practical terms, the de facto lead - as they scramble up the mountainside. She'll clear brush, raise the trail, and help set holds.

And turn her rifle on whatever gets in their way.

It's a call over the network, and a short one. He didn't need to really hang around in the armoury now, unless one of the teams wanted to grab an arms band. If anyone was looking to carry some hammerspace and had been around on the time for a while, he holds one of the bangles in his hand.

"'kay. You know how to use this?"

...if he definitely knows you know how to use one, he's got a grin, adding: "Now, let's run through the basics..."

But if you want a hand knowing what's what, he can help with that too.

But he has to get ready too. Tidus heads to the dressing carriage to check out the supplies, some of which make him grimace, holding up the ropes and harnesses with a grunt.

"Ugh. Hope this isn't like Terra..."

Didn't they have those there? Not that he took one then. But he's turning around with a purple harness this time, sort of...hold it and looking as if he's judging how you're meant to wear it.

Call him out on it. Or, he might ask you, in the car with him: "Think we should put these on now?"

"Whoa-!"

Behold: The guy who didn't heed the warning so well, or had a brain freeze just as he heard it. Tidus drops, but does so with something of a last minute roll - one that swings him onto his side, less than gracious (and what he deserves). He groans, slowly rising up from where he 'landed'; rubbing his head, muttering about a "stupid train...".

Should he be watching out for above for the next incoming passenger? Probably. Please remind him. Or nearly drop on him.

Why is there all this grass. It wouldn't be so annoying if his nose didn't feel both stuffy, and on the verge of a sneeze that just wouldn't come.

... no, that's a lie. Because there's still the knocking into other people happening. And also? All this grass sucks. Bumping into someone new when deciding to search through the still lengthy grass, Tidus rubs his nose and gets a stuffy, "Sorry" with it.

Or, he's found one of the water containers, a ladder up the side. Curiosity always gets the better of him, and he peers inside, to see the sight of...liquid. Well, okay.

But up here, he can see into the far distances. Taking in the view, but he looks down and sees someone in the grass.

"Hey! I think I can see the islands from here!"

3. west island

Reaching here is no easy feat - nor is it a warm one. He curses not bringing one of the heat stones with him as he feels a chill that matches the snow-white view, if lacking in snow or ice. It's the stone markers that get his attention though, clearly placed by someone before they arrived. He starts to head towards one in curiosity, when-

"--Eh?"

There's a repulsive feeling, like a force pushing back at him. The marker glows brighter for a moment, then dampens when Tidus doesn't get closer again. Like he wants to.

"What the heck are these...?"

Or, more importantly: "Hey, this means we're probably not the only ones here, right? Those sally-whos have to be here too somewhere."

It happens suddenly. One moment he's walking like the rest, then the next, it's like he got hit by a truck. Tidus buckles to a knee, nothing around him, no one but the others on the team moving - nothing but the trees. But multi-coloured wisps come off from his body, dragged in a direction behind him before they disappear.

Nothing can be immediately seen. But something does lurk behind the metal-hard trees, watching the Voidtreckers. More than just possibly people, or the avians.

Wei Wuxian, who has stomped something of a circle of clearing down nearby enough to hear Tidus, and then see him when he's up there higher than the grasses are growing, waves his arms overhead.

"Which direction should we be moving? Other than every direction... can we mark where they are! Trailbreak through the grass like it's snow?"

Raven | Blue-temporary | OTA

Preparation
Raven intended to go where she was needed this time, but given the nature of blue-team missions and her own trouble with her powers not always working as she expected... Blue team seemed a good choice, so she's gathering up equipment in blue-colors, despite her own purple uniform. The climbing gear has her a little worried, but better to have some and not need it, right? So she's packing up gear into her backpack. She might actually leave her cloak and cowl on the train for once too.
Arrival, Take Two
At first the arrival had been a mess, and Raven hadn't been able to do much to help. Once they'd cleared up things though, she's exploring. Preferably not alone, as she tests her powers. It takes far more effort than it usually does, but she can fly. Whether she can teleport, however...

Setting up base camps
She doesn't know how long they're going to be here, and with the strange energy she's sensing, it might be better to do things the non-magical way. So Raven's fixing up some of the dwellings and putting what she can together of supplies. Making a base camp and using what she can find already, whenever she can.

Yondu joins Raven in what she's doing, carrying a hammer to help put down stakes as they're needed.

He loosely tosses up the hammer and catches it over and over, just idly playing with it as he tries to figure out what the fuck to do with himself. "How are you doin' on your basic functions? I'm gettin' some interference from my sensors so I'm in the same boat."

Conan Edogawa | Team Orange | OTA

Arrival:
Conan is immediately presented with a problem. The drop to the ground was far enough for someone of an adult height. For him, it was even further.

After some creative effort to avoid injuring himself in the drop, Conan is presented with the challenge of finding his way through grass more than four times his height. It takes some careful navigating, first sliding off the deep grass that had broken his fall, and then trying to find his way blindly through the dense grass.

Take Two:
Conan takes his time investigating several of the dome habitats, until he is satisfied that there is nothing further to find here. From there he moves on to the broken bridges at the southern end of the island. He paces out the open the space at the edges of the island, and speculatively eyes the distance to the other islands.

There might be just enough space here to reach the speed he needed.

South Island: Bird Encounter
Stubbornness had carried Conan through his arrival on the south island. Past the headache, the nausea, the feeling of being watched. And worse, the inaudible whispering that he could just barely hear.

Again, he makes a point of investigating every structure he could find. The shouting gives him enough warning to mostly avoid the sali, but that doesn't save him from the birds. Conan lets out a shout as a sudden gust of wind blows him off his feet.

He rolls back to his feet just in time to hear rustling from the grasses around him.

South Island: Bird Encounter

Yondu's about thirty feet away when he's thrown by his own gust of wind. And it doesn't matter how much experience you have being chucked around by the elements or whipped within an inch of his life by whatever living thing has taken a hating to him, it still does not feel good.

Yondu gets to his feet just in time to see something moving through overgrowth towards the much smaller figure of his roommate.

He gets up and barrels towards him, ready to grab him and jerk him out of the way of whatever is making its way in his direction.

"Everyone make sure you grab some kinds of healing items on your way out!" He calls to the rest of Red Team, both staying and not. If anyone needs he'll direct them over towards where Purple has set up their inventory. Otherwise he's busy making sure he's got everything, from the Arms Band to his sword strapped to him.

... It's his first mission as an official leader. He's a bit nervous.

"Get down!" Otoha grabs whoever's near him and pulls them back behind a large rock, staring up at the birds. He's useless at ranged without his armor, and it's not dire enough to use that yet. Right now all he can do is glare at them before turning to hsi hiding partner.

"Any ideas?"

Otoha walks through the tunnels, watching the walls carefully and doing his best to not stumble over things. He doesn't like how durable these spider things have ended up being, and he's already been attacked by more than a few.

"Stupid spiders... it's always the spiders."

... He might have had a problem with giant spiders before. Just a bit.

"You got a weapon?" A weapon for a flying foe? But then he looks across to the feathers left behind. "--How's your throw?"

Danny Fenton | Team Purple | OTA

Arrival:
The moment Danny arrived on the island, he developed a splitting headache. He does his best to ignore it, wincing as he immediately jumps into the air to get an idea of the layout of the island.

And he immediately loses control of his flight and goes plowing into the ground, getting himself hopelessly entangled in a pile of grass.

As he finally comes to a stop he stares up at the sky.

"Okay, that didn't go as planned."

East Island:
Danny usually joined the red mission, but this time he hadn't really been sure which mission he should help with. So he'd picked a random direction and just decided to help whoever he ended up with.

Which is how he ended up flying very, very slowly over to the island to the east. So slowly that he might as well just call it floating. Seriously, walking might be faster than this.

He brushes past the crystal outcroppings... but quickly decides to move away after he starts to feel worse as he gets closer to them.

He turns south and makes good progress right up until some kind of weird striped creature jumps out at him. Danny immediately attempts to throw a blast of energy (it was practically a reflex) and immediately gets thrown backward as the ball of ectoplasmic energy explodes in his hands.

Arrival

"Hey, are you alright!?"

Touma pushed through the thick vegetation as he made his way to where he believed the other teen fell. This was easier said than done. The tall grass surrounded him like an endless sea, limiting his vison and making navigation difficult. His only clue was the angle his fellow Voidtrecker plummeted towards.

"Shout if you can hear me!" He yelled as stalks of grass smacked him across the face. "I'm coming to... Ah?!"

Before he could realize what had happened, Touma suddenly tripped over something tangled in the grass and tumbled onto the ground. Thankfully, the grass helped soften what would have been a painful fall. Picking himself back up, he turned around to find whatever had caught his foot and was greeted with the sight of the person he was trying to help.

"...Sorry."

Dairine Callahan | Orange Team | OTA

"You know, jumping into a field of flowers sounds more fun than it actually is," Dairine bemoans as she straightens up from her leap. She's not much higher than the grasses, so making conversation might be a bit difficult. It also means that anyone near her might miss the sudden alarmed expression that crosses her face as before she suddenly crouches down to check Spot.

"Are you kidding me?!"

Her shriek is loud and hard to miss. While clearly pissed about something, those who know Dairine well might also tell that she's also thoroughly 100% freaked out.

Dairine stands near one of the broken bridges, scowling impressively.

Slowly, she puts one foot over the ledge, like she's trying to feel for something. Her expression is filled with concentration. However, it's not long before she shakes her head and puts her foot back on solid ground.

"This is the worst."

"It really is." Touma agreed as he carefully approached the edge.

The distance between the two island were far too large for a normal human to jump across. He peered over the edge, looking down at the swirling mass of red clouds below. The sight of the dizzying drop caused his poor stomach to start protesting and he quickly adverted his eyes elsewhere to make the nausea stop. Even if the gap was doable, he still would prefer a more reasonable way to get across.

"So, what were you attempting to do a few seconds ago? It looked like you were about step out into open air."

Vegeta | Red Team - with Orange Team | OTA

I – Prep
Even though Vegeta tends to not be one that overly preps for their missions, he still goes to check out the dressing room to see what supplies were being offered. He doesn’t think he would need much, mostly just a source of food to keep him going while they were on planet, and there was no reason for him to consider he would need climbing aids even with the mention of floating islands. That’s what flying is for, right? So most of the stuff he will look over then dismiss for himself, though will be there wondering to himself if he should take extra supplies for others on his team, just in case.

II – Arrival
Stepping out of the train something feels… off. Vegeta can’t quite put his finger on it right away, dropping down into their grassy landing zone and instantly waving a hand out to move any leaves directly out of his face. What a hassle. He’ll move far enough off to be out of range for others leaving the train while floating far enough off the ground to see over the grass. Ok, yeah, something is wrong, flight felt… wrong. He’ll be trying to work it out as others land near him, more distracted by whatever was going on than the world around them right now.

III - Arrival - Take Two
Vegeta will be lending his hand in helping the clean-up of the immediate area. No point in being in a location if they can’t survive while they were there. It was a hassle, but needed to be done. He’s also eyeing up those repairs that are needed before they can move on, between that and the strange limitations of flying, he now understanding why the train had supplied them with such climbing equipment. While he can still 'fly' it's more just floating, any attempts to actually fly resulting in, well, some rather embarrassing crashes earlier on. It’s like everything just gets twisted upside down and back to front.

IV - North Island
With everything going on Vegeta has decided to put his efforts towards the Orange Team this time, mostly to keep his wife from doing anything stupid or getting herself into trouble, and thus going along with her to the North Island. Even with whatever was going on with his ki, flight, and difficulty at reading others’ ki, Vegeta still had his strength. It meant the ‘paths’ of branches, leaves, and roots were little issue for him; able to break them under foot or shoving them to the side out of the way of those who followed behind him, he mindful enough to make sure they didn’t suddenly snap free and flung into whoever was around him. He’ll help out those who call for it, using what limited flight this place gave him to lift others out of danger or break them free from what is trapping them.

As they continued deeper those native animals were proving to be an issue, Vegeta mindful of their surroundings and trying to keep a close eye and ear open to any movement that wasn’t the Team’s. Normally he would just blast away any pests with a ki blast, but since those were proving to be more dangerous to himself or others, a well-placed punch would have to do the work instead.

Yet it’s not the animals he’s truly concerned about, it was the traps. Or more the case of who was setting them. Clearly something or someone was wanting for them to either stay away as they made their way upwards, or wanting to hunt them. It only takes one or two close calls before Vegeta gives up on even attempting to get through the traps and up the wall the ‘normal’ way, once again using his limited flight to do so instead. He may even be talked into helping a few up that wall now and then. Or at the very least floating ahead to try and destroy any traps before they could hurt others, as well as plucking those already caught in them out.

V - Wildcard

Considering Vegeta is a little more distracted by the issue he's thinking about, he might not notice the person dropping fairly close to him with a soft, but surprised 'wah!' sort of sound. Look, why does the train have to drop them off like this, why can't it be a bit more gentle about it!

But Madoka doesn't complain about it, even though she was startled. Instead she at least moves to sit up on her knees, rather than lie there on the ground - and it's then, as she looks down, that she notices the man standing nearby.

Who very much seems to just be looking off into the distance for now.

".. Mister Vegeta? Um.. are you okay?"

I – Prep
This was his first mission. His first proper mission since getting here, since that resort, while taxing on Idia’s nerves with being around so many people, had still had a ‘holiday’ feel to it. What was being talked about now certainly did not sound like a holiday. And a look at the dressing room and all its supplies backed that up. Just what was going on? It looked horrible.

He’ll be found fussing around the area, poking a hand out now and then to consider the climbing and camping equipment, then huffing over it with a look of pure annoyance at the thought of what was go come. Did he really have to go? Couldn’t he stay on the train? It would be quiet, and he wouldn’t be out in… wilderness. Oh this was going to be horrible.

II – Arrival
Idia’s landing was not very graceful, so hesitant at first to even step off, before landing on his feet, then falling into the grass around him. Ughh. Just leave him there. It was better this way. Eventually he will push himself up and out of the way, struggling to get his limbs free from the tall grass and wandering a little bit into it to keep out of the way of others.

It was strange, to think he was on an alien planet, but also both a little claustrophobic and rather private at the same time, that tall grass standing well over top of them all. It’s all good and well that he was now down on ground level… Idia just doesn’t know what to do now.

III - Arrival - Take Two
This is horrible. Everything about it is horrible! Are they really expected to stay like this during this mission?! Just… out, in the open, with animals wandering around, and no real cover? Or worse, no power? It’s all just awful. He really doesn’t know how to help at all with the set up, so he decides he should at least try and be helpful in some way. After all, the sooner they get this done the sooner they can go.

He will go look at the bridges and the state they are in, as well as just wandering around with his skull computer trying to scan for anything that may be helpful.

IV - North Island
It. Just. Keeps. Getting. Worst! Having to camp out was one thing, but having to go tramping through the jungle like this was… so far beyond horrible for Idia to have even considered. He will struggle alongside the rest of Orange Team through the thick plant life, he having little to no real endurance and stamina for this kind of thing. It was always just far too much effort. Though right now Idia’s starting to regret he didn’t put more effort into physical education as he manages to clamber over a branch crossing the path.

And if the plant life wasn’t bad enough, the animal life when it popped up was keeping Idia on edge. With his magic refusing to work correctly here he was feeling completely helpless to any attacks. All he can do is hope another teammate is able to fight any animals that crossed their path, Idia having no other weapon to even attempt to defend himself with. Then as they finally reached that rock wall and Idia looked up at it… “I give up.” Yeah, this wasn’t happening. Leave him to the vicious animals. He had more chances against them than he did climbing this wall.

Not that Alice is very surprised, considering his attitude back on the platform when she talked to him - not to mention that he must have found out by now that his precious 'internet' doesn't exist on the train.

Siebren (Sigma) | Orange | Island TBD

1. Should've been a cowboy (Arrival island)

The landing was simple enough, all things considered; everything else had simply gotten more complicated from there, though Siebren is at least trying. Perhaps you run into him in the tall grass, trying to find his way through and see over what patches he can. Perhaps you run across him near one of the structures, exploring the inside.

Or perhaps you find him at the end of a rope, with the other end attached to one of the roaming animals, expression on his face clear that he has the metaphorical tiger by the tail and has absolutely no idea what to do with it.

Regardless of the circumstances: please help.

2. Why they call it falling (Arrival island)

The edge of the island is a bit intimidating, as any edge overlooking a long, dangerous drop can be. Siebren is standing near enough it to work but far enough to not pose an immediate fall risk, looking at the remains of a bridge. He finishes securing a rope to one of his carabiners and lets it hang loosely, uncoiling the rope to allow slack. "This should be simple enough," he says under his breath, focused on the task at hand. He takes hold of the carabiner's gravity and raises a hand, floating the carabiner out across the gap at an even pace, rope trailing behind-

And the carabiner falls-

And it is a very good thing that Siebren both held on to the end of the rope and didn't try floating himself across first.

The carabiner dangles from the rope into the void below as Siebren grasps the rope tightly and attempts to remember how to breathe, visibly shaken. It takes him a few seconds to come back to himself enough to speak, a waver in his voice that he cannot control. "Something is wrong."

It's probably not surprising that Seto is nearby at first. Whenever there's a problem of crossing distances, he tends to turn to Siebren for support. He'd been struggling with the problem of reconstructing the bridge himself, and maybe floating the items and using that to loop the knots in place was the answer?

He's content with this plan until the moment it doesn't work. Seto's face falls, but it's nothing compared to what Siebren must feel. He steps closer, gently pressing a hand to his arm.

"We'll find a plan B," Seto promises. "Even if I have to destroy the power jammers myself."

Prep

Touma frowned as he surveyed the generous amounts of climbing gear laid out for everyone. It was like coming across a suspicious stash of healing items right before the room where the dungeon boss was waiting. Their presence was an ominous warning for the kind of hardships they were going to encounter on this mission and he was not forward to it.

As he stuffed his backpack with climbing gear, he turned to one of the other people within the room gathering equipment. "Do you got any idea on how to use any of this stuff? I've never even done indoor climbing before, much less actual mountain climbing."

Trying To Get to The East Island

"How the hell am I suppose to get across this?"

His first mission has already grinded to a screeching halt. The land before him ended in a steep cliff and a massive drop into a sea of swirling red clouds. Across the terrifying gap was the island he was suppose to be going to. Jumping across was completely out of the question and the only means for a human like him to get across safely was currently in a state of severe disrepair. The broken, decrepit remains of a bridge could be seen hanging on each side of the two islands.

This left him with two options; somehow find a means to reach the other island or make himself useful on the one he was stuck on.

For the first option, the easiest solution was to find someone willing to carry him to the other side. He was certain there had to be someone on the train capable of flight. As long as he didn't accidently touch them with his Right Hand, it should hopefully work out. Now with a way possible means forward, he tapped on his SCA to send out a plea for help.

"I do sir!" Romeo nodded. "We had to climb on other missions before."

So he understood how to use this equipment, even if he had not seen any of it before coming to the train. He had always just climbed without ropes.

"That harness goes around your legs and waist and you got to be in pairs so you can keep each other safe! It's a lot of teamwork but your own blue team so you must be really good at that!"

Romeo was in blue team too, as his blue hoodie clearly showed.

Preparation

Newer passengers may have caught a glimpse of this version of Hera if they took advantage of her offer of lessons in the flight simulator. Or if they tried to slack off on chores. But once they get word of the mission, it's full General Hera mode. Always a joke from Kanan, but Leia's made it clear there's some truth to that.

It's clear enough that the train doesn't give them equipment for its own amusement. If they've got this gear, they're going to need it. "Climbing experience isn't one we've been tracking..."

So now she needs to quickly find out who does and doesn't need this.

Arrival Island

Once the initial animal and plant situation is at least somewhat resolved, it's recon mode. "Looks like a lot to do and a lot of territory to cover. We need to make sure we're staying in contact." At least they have the SCAs and a dozen reasons for no one to ditch those.

"We'll have to use the skies carefully." They don't have many people who can get up there to scout. "Try not to overlap too much."

If they're talking, they can put it all together.

North Island

Not for the first time, something is strange in the underbrush. Another hostile creature? Or a trap? The forest is littered with them. The fact that her weapons are energy based and not working properly is an issue, but one she's just going to have to find a way around.

"Stay sharp, there's something up ahead," she instructs her companion.

Jingyi, in full dragon form, lifts his head up, and up, and up, peering over the grasses like he's out on a nice garden picnic instead of in an overgrown field with hidden dangers. Most of it is to get an eye on what he can see, before he lowers his head again, to look at Hera.

"I can take low flights over the region, or boost people up if they want to see past where we've secured things around here. Given my size, we either... want me to haul people, or to stay low in case going high attracts attention, I'd guess."

It would be a lie to say Yondu doesn't want to fight. He does. It's a guilty pleasure. Even without his arrow he adores the adrenaline he gets from it. However, he wants to do right by the crew and not have an excess of unnecessary ass-whoopin' from either side. And that means that no matter how riled these horny folks get, until they're actively shootin' at him or kicking at him or throwing punches? He's gotta be decent.

He's been listening to angry voices, chewing on a toothpick and considering how the fuck to approach some angry souls that ain't just him holding a sharp tip to their throat or a cold metal pressed to their head and making a demand. He doesn't think these guys would wanna be buddy-buddy with him. They don't even seem to fully trust their own at the moment.

Speaking of which, he considers that the ones he's caught glimpses of with red eyes and red gems seem different. But he doesn't know the full significance of that and he doesn't want to jump to conclusions. Doesn't seem the kind of world for blades or magical girls but shit, he could be wrong. You know. Gotta be careful about that kind of thing.

"Too bad I got my fin, I could get nekkid and blend in with the plant life..." he jokes offhandedly and with a flat expression before flicking his toothpick away. he was bad at this anyway - THE FARMING LIFE

This place is a mess, but it's hard to appreciate how much of a mess it is (if appreciate is the right word) when he keeps coming across the occasional goat person that wants absolutely nothing to do with them.

He's finally starting to notice that it's the red-eyed Sali that can animate the plant life, and it would be great if he was any good at this at all. He's not. His abilities were scattered on their best day, even with practice and advice. Here, with magic being interfered with? It's not working worth a damn.

He's climbing the obstacle course of vines and sometimes they just sprout little ill-matched flowers with uneven petals. Or he reaches for something and creates barbs that he didn't actually want. It's like magical puberty and he's already too damn old for this shit. He spent decades perfecting his arrow now he's too concerned to even try it and his crankiness is causing the plants he's trying to climb up pull some tricks that are a few degrees in excess of useless.

"I can try to keep these red-spangled ones distracted," he says to whoever came with him. "Maybe if we coordinate we can give these other'n's a chance to go where they wanna go. Maybe they'll be up for talkin' later."

Truthfully, Wangji has less than desired skills in diplomacy on his good days, let alone in a strange place with a lot of plants and even rocks are trying to mess with their heads. He finds the arguing tiresome and anyone who refuses to listen to reason gets demoted very quickly in his mind.

The potential for dissidence in the natives ranks is a cause for concern, but he doesn't know enough about them to try and touch that minefield.

When Yondu speaks his eyes flick over and he almost huffs in amusement at the idea, "Perhaps, but I think you would get bored very quickly." He murmurs, then thinking it over.
"I have dealt with a few negotiations, but regretfully they were either personal or between allies trying to find a solution. I take it you prefer aggressive negotiations?"

Arrival/Take Two
Wangji steps off and glides down form the train, or at least he would have normally. What actually happens is he gets a little away from the train and visibly plummets several feet before slowing and the tension on his face increasing. When he lands, it is heavily and lacking his usual grace.
"It takes more energy than usual to use my powers here."

He will offer to catch anyone who needs a hand getting down, or giving slow moving lifts to those who want to go further down the veritable cliffs.
When he walks too close to the flowers, he feels lightheaded and will immediately guide others away from being too close.

Home Island, North Trail
Wangji determines he will be most effective in a group and follows a few others down the path that leads to visible habitation. He does notice the strange crystals around them and at a convenient moment will pause to investigate them. He touches with his hands and then his energy, this causes visible strain and he sounds a little tense when he says;
"These rocks are playing with our senses, we should be careful in these parts. If I probe a little deeper perhaps I can..."
He is now far too focused on the rock to move. You'll have to drag him away.

Honestly, Madoka hasn't even gone near the flowers yet.

So it's saying a lot - about how much she trusts any Wangji, that is - that she immediately stays away from them the moment he starts to try and keep people from getting closer to them. But even though she's already obediently listening, Madoka still can't help but be just curious enough to ask:

"Um.. why should we stay away? Is something bad going on, mister Wangji?"

Nozomi Yumehara (CRAU) | Purple Team | OTA

Prep:

Nozomi's not feeling too well about this. Something about this trip, especially with the need for climbing equipment. That's probably why she's busy going through the armory seeing what she can grab. Right now, the best she can do is a shield and a steel pipe.

"...we really need more weapons here." Nozomi uttered, annoyed.

Arrival:

"AAAAAAAH!" THUMP!

Nozo-ditz strikes again. Someone didn't listen to the warning and fell off into the really tall grass.

"I'm okay... really... just my pride." she groaned, laying on the ground face down. "Ow..."

North Island - Prowling Foes:

This forest is so confusing! She's certain she's lost by now as she's calling out names and not hearing a response. With a sigh, she decided to duck inside a tree trunk as she went to fiddle with her ICP to see if she can find a way to get help. Looks like it'll have to be a message. However, this is cut off as she realizes something smells

"...did I step in something...?" she uttered before she gasped, hearing a loud growl. A split second later, a massive paw struck Nozomi, sending her sprawling out of the cave and against another tree.

In pain, she found herself facing down a massive tree bear.

"...oh, no..."

Further Investigations:

Or maybe Nozomi got really lost. She has absolutely no idea where she is on this forest. She groaned and decided the best thing to do was try and backtrack. Can't be too bad, right?

A split second later, a knife came close to her feet, causing her to jump back in shock.

"Wh-who's there?!" Nozomi shouted. Her hand reflexively went into her pocket, looking for her CureMo, not knowing what it would do here. But, someone's attacking and she wasn't going to get taken off-guard...

Arrival

The arrival is very chaotic, with plants and his eyes watering, sneezing again and again. Hayfevers never been something that has bothered him in his life but right now he feels like he can barely breathe.

And so he transforms, because surely even if he is allergic to these plants in human form, his kirin form wouldn't be. He couldn't imagine a kirin beast, as deer like as it was, being allergic to plants.

Transforming was hard work and he is left stood on four legs, exhausted and... still sneezing...

Fly Low

Since he was already in kirin form, once he had gotten out of the situation with the grass he decided to see if he could get a lay of the land. Flying it turned out was even harder than transforming had been but he could do it. As long as he flew low and flew slowly, much slower than he was used to.

But soon it became obvious that flying would be a useful skill, since the islands were separated. Even though it was exhausting he saw it as something he could do to help, so anyone he saw near the edge would have a tired looking kirin approaching.

"Are you wanting to travel over?"

Sheep and Boar

He had come across this scene by accident. The death and the smell of blood makes him feel sick but he can't just leave. Not when there are still creatures in danger.

He isn't going to fight the boar, of course. But it is just a wild animal and so... Perhaps he can calm it. He's in human form now, a sarong wrapped around him for modesty until he gets a moment to actually put real clothes back on. He is stood facing where the boar last was, he walks slowly, looking seriously.

Sure, the answer to that question is 'yes'. Yes, Inigo would very much like to be able to go to the other side, and actually start working on what they need to get done here. But the island he's staring at is so far away, way too far for a regular guy like him to easily be able to get to.

And while he'd usually gladly accept any offer coming from Taiki, the very fact that the other sounds so tired is enough to entirely turn Inigo's brain away from contemplating the dumb distance towards the other island. Instead he turns towards his kirin friend, frowning.

i. ARRIVAL – BROKEN DOMES

After some clearing is done, and domes are revealed.. there’s not a chance in the world Bulma isn’t ducking in to one or two in order to poke around and see what’s inside. She’d intended to scavenge a little if at all possible, but pots, pans, and other little bits don’t make much for tools or parts with which to make tools. For the moment the little domes homes remain intact as Bulma exits, sighing.

“Not a thing to make anything with. Guess we should just keep on moving, then.”

It’s the only thing to do, really. Bulma casts her gaze to the next closest island East.

“If we can’t rely on flying, might as well proceed to the path of least resistance, right?”

ii. A FAMILY TRIP NORTH

It would seem the Briefs family has somehow ended up on the Northern path all together this time around. Without a doubt that’s what has kept Bulma largely out of trouble, as things go, but the wall to climb in front of them may well be the thing that gets her after all. Bulma stands with her hands on her hips, looking up at the wall she’s meant to scale to reach their next destination and just…

Well, she goes to the gym but does not necessarily rock climb. She is perhaps understandably intimidated, even with the prospect of having her family about to try and catch her, but with their powers diminished she is hesitant to start and possibly risk things.

Watching others above slip or struggle isn’t particularly helping.

“I.. guess I better hope that gym time is going to pay off, huh?”

iii. FURTHER INVESTIGATIONS

Before the mountain peak, Bulma is distracted along the way. The forest shifts in a way that catches her attention, and soon she’s shifted off the path to go deeper in to the forest, slipping away from those around who may be watching for just a moment. The curious person she is, she can’t be easily prevented from distraction and wandering off in to the brush –

Except, maybe, when a knife whizzes by a little too close to her ear, sparking Bulma to scream at the top of her lungs in fright. Before she knows what’s really happening there’s a burst of flame and she’s turning as quickly on her heel as she can to book it back to the path and anyone who may be accompanying them, shouting the entire way there.

… The shouting in unnecessary by how many birds and animals ran just at her very first scream, but when there’s fire literally licking at her skin, Bulma has no idea how to be any semblance of quiet.

Madoka is also curious about the domes.

Granted, not so much to scavenge stuff from them - she just wonders why they have been abandoned like this, enough for plants to already cover them.. It's a little weird to just see these standing in the middle of nowhere, right?

So when Bulma emerges from one of them, Madoka is quick to jog over to the other, looking up at her with big, expectant eyes.

Apparently she didn't quite hear the other's conclusion just yet.

"Oh, did you see anything in there..?"

Takato | Team Orange | OTA

Arrival:
The arrival had gone well enough, but the jump had separated Takato and Guilmon from the rest of the group and they had promptly gotten lost in the tall grass.

After some quick discussion, they decide that the best solution was to follow Guilmon's nose. He leads the way, charging and breaking through the grass with Takato running just behind him. When they finally break into a clearing, they immediately go tumbling into a pile.

"Well," Takato says after he catches his breath, "at least we found other people."

Take Two:
The solution seemed pretty simple to Takato. If the bridges were broken they just had to rebuild them. He pulls out a card and swipes it through his D-Arc.

And nothing happens.

With increasing panic he tries several other cards with no success. He tries shaking the D-Arc... and finally realizes that the screen was blank.

He stares at Guilmon with panic in his eyes at the realization.

"Guilmon... I think its broken! Can you feel anything?"

North Island:
With a lot of trial and error, Takato and Guilmon had figured out what they were able to do... and it wasn't much. With no ability to transform and cards that were unreliable at best, they really were just a kid and a dinosaur. They'd decided that the best they could do was to explore and to offer help to anyone they found on the way.

On the North Island they go wandering through the forest, relying on Guilmon's nose to find their way.

In a particularly dark and tangled section, Guilmon raises his head and sniffs the air.

"Takato! There's something above us!"

North Island

"Takato, Guilmon, go!" Nozomi cried out, trying to push them onward. There was something above them and with the two not at full power, she decided she had to protect them.

Kitty Pryde | Purple Team | OTA

Preparation

Most of Kitty's preparation is done automatically, not paying too much attention as she grabbed items in her team's color and stuffed them into her bag. A part of her knew that she should be more attentive, and needed to be more careful to get ready for the upcoming mission. But she wasn't really sure how ready she was for another mission right now. Honestly, she hadn't really been doing much of anything lately.

But she also couldn't just stay on the train either. She couldn't just abandon people who needed help, and she wanted to help her fellow Voidtreckers, no matter what else she was feeling.

Shaking her head a little, she released a slow breath. "C'mon, Kitty..." she muttered to herself, trying to steel her courage.

Arrival - Take Two

Something felt wrong.

Well, obviously things weren't quite good. That's why they were there to help out in the first place. But it was more than just a problem with the storms and people needing to be rescued.

No, this was something different, though she wasn't entirely sure how to describe it. But when Kitty tried to help with some of the clearing, she realized what the problem was.

"Oh well, that's great," she sighed. "Is anyone else's powers not working?"

At least she brought her sword this time.

South Island - The Farming Life

Trying to climb the plants to get to the roof had been difficult enough, but somehow it was coming upon the Sali inside that they found even more trouble.

She was doing her best to avoid getting caught up by the plants being controlled by the Sali, but she knew they couldn't just do this forever. And it didn't seem like the Sali would listen to reason either.

"Got any ideas?" she asked anyone nearby, before jumping out of the way to avoid getting hit by one of the goo-filled pumpkins.

It is a difficult situation.

Difficult enough that Madoka isn't sure of what to do at first either. And she knows that they don't have much time to think about. Not while they're practically being attacked as they stand here.

But the one thing she does know is: "We can't hurt them."

That's not right. Even if they're attacking them right now, they're still intelligent. They're not just wild animals.

"M-Maybe we can knock them out and see what's wrong with them..? I don't have any kind of ability to calm people down.."

Even if the magic here would be working.
