( Hey, he's the guy who can fly, and if Inigo thought he had the balance, Jingyi would just insist on paralleling underneath the bridge. He's a wide enough target for anyone to fall off and hit, if they lose balance, so he'd be confident in keeping any bad endings from actually happening.

He'd also figured out the safe diving distance below islands. Recklessness is recklessness, necessity is necessity. There's some crossover, though as long as one didn't operate alone, he'd understand.

(Operate alone. Then get scolded. Look down on yourself! Then get scolded! Smile forever when sometimes you also need to cry, get reminded that's not the only way to live, and letting it out is worthwhile, no judging.)

But he doesn't know what he doesn't know, so all he does know is what Inigo starts to talk about, and he frowns as he listens, whiskers floating in a breeze that doesn't actually exist, at either side of his muzzle.

Or what you understand is different from what they mean. ( Here, have another nose-boop, to his shoulder this time. ) Feels a bit lonely, realising there's no one who fully understands the things you do, just when you're talking about them. That there's always something you have to explain, and not just 'cause you're from different parts of a shared world.

( He won't pretend to fully get it, because he has so many familiar faces here. Only... in what, two months? He's learned very hard what it means to find that familiar faces don't mean familiar understandings, expectations, or even memories; and the number of cultural conflicts he runs face-first into continues to steadily tick up, up, and away, annoyingly. )
