He hadn't really been thinking, had he. Carrying the crystal had really taken it out of him.

"I'm carrying one of the crystals from Hemla today. I didn't want to get too close in case it affected you too." May as well be honest. "I'll be okay tomorrow. It's only today that..." He trails off, trying to find a better way to phrase it, fails, and gives up. "...that sucks. Today sucks. But I'll be okay."

He gives Thanatos a tired smile and accepts the sandwich, though he doesn't unwrap it yet. "Thank you. Are you doing okay?"
