That hurts like hell to hear. He lets her say it, though.

He feels like he should establish that much.

"You ain't nowhere near the worst. You got a lotta heaviness on ya but I like ya for it, Candy Cane. You hear me, alright? I don't like you in spite of it. I like ya for it and how bad you wanna get better from it." Because he can tell she does. She doesn't really wanna die- it's preferable to being a witch, but it's still dying. She doesn't want to be a witch.
