Failing people needing you, calling for you, is something he knows all too well.

"You called for help. You didn't let us down. You saw things gettin' bad and you hollered. You focus on that, alright? You're not lettin' us down." He tries to remind her that for all her concerns of failure, she hadn't. She'd gotten it right.

He gets a little quieter as a gust of faint wind cuts through the brush, a bird somewhere but not close enough to notice them. He goes quiet for a bit, moving more slowly, until he's relatively sure the animal is gone.

"I think she knew ya loved her. You showed it well enough when I saw ya." As family or as more, Kyoko'd made it known. Words may have not happened, but actions could be worth a speech.
