See, this is one of the nice things about Tidus, Inigo thinks. He can talk about things that - by regular people's standards - would totally suck, and just make it sound like an annoyance, something to whine about, rather than something potentially deadly under the wrong circumstances.
"Haven't seen a single one of them," Inigo answers, finally slowly pulling back out of the hug. But even when he does, he doesn't move away too far. He's still standing closely by Tidus, as if he's drawn to him like a magnet. "But I haven't been too far into the forest, since I've mostly been busy out here near the bridges."
Look at him, Tidus. You left him as regular old Inigo, but here he is now, as Inigo, Bridge Builder Extraordinare.
.. or maybe just someone who can put wood across gaps, but look, this was about speed building, not elegance building.
"There's spiders in there though. I really don't like the spiders." And yet he's still smiling even as he says that - and means it! - because he's still not over the friend reunion joy.
