Alice really hates these dumb islands, and the dumb creatures that live on it, and the dumb circumstances that are making it hard for her to do something as natural as just summoning her weapon.
There's no time anymore, and Alice knows it the moment the girl speaks up. So rather than continuing to cut, she just makes the knife fade again - if not just because it means she's got both hands free to grab at the other girl, pulling her against her and then sideways along with her with all her might.
Sure, it means Alice gets some of the webbing on her too, making them kind of stick to each other now, but at least it means Alice manages to pull the girl out of the way before the spider fires more webbing at the spot where the younger girl was only a moment ago.
"Are you alright?"
And while you're at it, p-please try to pull yourself off Alice so they can get properly away from this spot and this spider...
