Alice nods at the girl - and isn't lying about it. She'd know it if that was the case. After all, she's gone hungry enough times in the past to be able to recognize that feeling.

It's not what this is. There's no feeling in her stomach, it's all just in her head. Some combination of exhaustion with a sort of pressure that she can't quite explain. But that feeling is exactly making Alice - relatively - helpless enough that she's more than willing to go along with this, allowing the other girl to lead her out of here.

Her only truly concern is: "Are you certain you do not want to head further in?"

Without her, she means. It's not like Alice actively wants to hold the girl back when the latter always prefers to be part of the action so much.
