There is a small relief in knowing that he doesn't have to hold his tongue. It's difficult to not tell his brother everything and anything. But he also didn't feel like it was his place to do so. He looks over at Xichen, still unsure how much has been said but at least willing to fill the holes of information that his brother would like to know.

He never wants to have to lie to his brother. It is hard enough to keep quiet about certain things. Not that Lan Wangji is a talkative man but the one person he has never been afraid to open up to is Xichen.
