Elidibus waits for the teen to work through his words and her own thoughts. If nothing more he at least appears patient. But it is also an opportunity to study Kyoko's body language as she reacts to his answer or the way he indicates the Soul Gem so easily.

Once she acknowledges the sense in what he had to say, the Ascian nods and rises to his feet once more. His gaze is focused on the magical girl.

"It seems unlikely there are many options for you right now, if you wish to continue living as the person you are now." The words may be blunt but they do seem to indicate he will be honest about the reality she faces.

"As long as you're willing to dedicate yourself to the task of not reaching this state again because of pride or misguided attempts not to trouble those close to you, you may call on my assistance in coming up with a solution once we return from this mission."

Elidibus seems to comprehend that something of that nature is why Kyoko ended up so close to losing herself. If nothing more it is an educated guess from millennia of watching mortals repeat the same patterns.

"For now though, my advice is to remain close to your friend or myself. I did see witness the state and the purification and can say with certainty that I would be able to help if you need the imbalance of aether to be redressed."

It also seems he doesn't need the details of Kyoko's personal emotions or life, insofar as it caused her to overuse her magic. Certainly not now. What appears most important is that any future effort to help her doesn't go to waste.
