For the third option, a list of passengers appears and names can be searched for by letter. Anyone who has been working to try and make communications happen on their own devices will find those linked in to this network- though it is still only possible to use voice. If they have headphones from the music room they can make it so they work like earpieces.

We've managed to establish some defenses around the fields in the lowlands. I'd be willing to lend my insight. I plan to travel to some of the outlying communities and begin helping with establishing defenses there as well. What is your location?

Yeah, I recruited some of the sturdier lookin' townsfolk to come help set up defenses out here in the more rural areas.

So we got manpower, we need some easier access to materials.

That General Amaya lady actually had a good idea a while back with the sandbags. Now, we can try to calm them birds down but that's gonna take a bit. Sand is a sound dampener. We make some kinda sandbagged safety alcoves for the civilians or animals to tuck into that'll help 'em until we can deal with 'em.

But... You're more likely to know someone that can magic up materials. All I can do is scrounge up extra hands for helpin'.

Thank you for taking the time. I'd grown concerned when there were only a few of us establishing defenses, especially as the storms are growing worse. We'd be quickly overwhelmed.

[ There's a bit of silence. ]

I think the idea about sandbags is a good one. And I would be willing create the sand. I will see if I can convince others.

[Well it's a minor thing, with so much aether around and even within his current capabilities. The volume needed is another matter but surely he can find help!]

Yeah, I was runnin' rescues up 'til now. Figured y'all could use the help.

[He'd aimed for some of the farming communities further away from the town anyway.]

Been settin' up some spike traps around the perimeter too to slow up the gooey void bastards. With all the debris from the landslides materials been easy to come by. I'll try to scrounge up more people to help with them if they swing by.

Wish we had the material for some electric fences but I dunno if these folks could maintain it. With them a little bit of stuff goes a long way.

Hmm. You should contact some of the other passengers. I know many are mechanically inclined and they may be able to come up with a solution that can be maintained by the people here.

[He's not belittling the natives, but even though they're used to adapting odd stuff that falls through the void from time to time, there's only so much time to teach the natives something new. So it would by necessity need to be basic.]

The youth named Senku. I believe he may be the best to consult. I recall he mentioned his world was one that suffered a collapse of civilization but he had retained a vast deal of knowledge that he'd studied on his own before it occurred.

Y'know... I just realized I got somethin' that could power it.

[His Anulux battery. Which is a difficult thing to give up. Sure he could buy another one, but this one he got in hopes that one day he... he doesn't know, could maybe rig up a ship of some sort? Figure out an escape plan if they got stuck somewhere in an emergency situation? Maybe eventually if he survives this train to refurbish a ship and wander off into the void.]

[But who is he kidding. He's accepted what this is.]

I got a few people who I think would pitch in. [He knows Devero, Kaiba, and Bulma will be available. And he wants to talk to Bulma anyway after everything that happened with Vegeta.] I won't turn down the help though 'cause it'd be a lot to do in a couple of days.

Good. I'm afraid any technology I could offer would be difficult to teach or maintain with the time we have to help the natives.

[Aether and Ceruleum (which is basically liquid aether) aren't exactly things you teach someone in a couple of days. Still that does bring up a question.]

How long will this power supply of yours last?

Anulux batteries can last decades to over a century, depenin' on how hard you work 'em. They get used for big ships an' machine-heavy buildin's that you don't want the power to give out on.

[Look, sometimes you buy something from the shop because you realize you can.]

Anyway, it'd last 'em until they worked out some other way to run things. We're just gonna need supplies. Like wire. Wire's pretty standard for places that got jewelers or some kinds of armor but I might gotta see who can help scrounge some up.

Alright. I'll talk to my colleague about the wire if the people you know can't come up with another solution. Even if the natives have wire it might not be of the correct thickness or metal.

[Jewelers might also only have a small supply of anything thick enough for an electric current and hardly the amount they'd need even for an example fence for the natives to later use as an example to build others. Though isn't it odd he's not simply doing it himself? It's not exactly a secret what he can normally do.]

I'll speak with him now so he'll be ready if they have need. Pray inform me or have the technicians get in contact to let us know the requirements they'll have. I imagine it'll be more than simply wires.

[You know, converters, resistors, and so forth to harness the power of that battery!]

[Luckily he's got an egghead with an arms band full of salvaged tech and one with some capsule corp storage, so at least there's a start on what would be needed. He'll be happy to take anything at this point, though. They're also familiar with visitor tech in this world, so maybe there's something salvageable out there, too. He'll ask around when he has the chance.]

Yeah, I figure if we get the wire, get the right builders, have these few days? We could slap somethin' simple together an' leave 'em directions. At least until the Ministry decides some more firm involvement or somethin'. Who knows, maybe they'll use the battery for somethin' bigger one day.

[He kind of hopes they do. It'd be a good 'up yours' to the stuck up types what developed it. As for Elidibus not making anything? Well, he's not gonna pressure the guy. He don't know how magic works. Could be an embarrassing thing to ask in public if a guy's not been up for making lately. It very well could be a private kind of thing and this is a casual emergency as far as issues go, so no pressure.]

[Elidibus would certainly appreciate that not-prying.]

I'll also ask a few of the natives I've met to meet with you about learning the right skills. I believe they will be able to pick up the technology quickly and would spread it to the other communities.

[The Ascian does have a habit of looking for potential talent.]

Nah, I think that covers it. Other'n plowin' out some deep ditches in problem areas an' addin' in some spike traps or cow traps where they'd work best, I think that's about the best the people I scrounged up can manage in a few days time. I'm doin' my level best to be strategic with it.
