Normally, she would sit across from the person she was eating with, if only so she could look them in the eyes while they spoke. With Rezo, it didn't really seem a necessity given that he couldn't, you know, see her. So she settled beside him, taking up so little space that he still had plenty of room to move and a bit of space between them. Her plate — likely far smaller than his — set before her, smelling of citrus and...peanuts, apparently.
"An apple, an orange, and some peanut butter. I was told it pairs well with apples. I have not tried it before." might as well try it now, she figured. Lioriley sat back a bit, crossed her legs under the table so one foot was angled toward Rezo. Apparently, she wasn't cross at all — disappointed and a bit upset that he hadn't listened to her, but not enough to stir any trouble.
Then, seemingly at random, she asked: "Do you enjoy tea?" she should have made some while she was gone, she thought, but had not wanted to waste too much time, lest the priest change his mind and leave before she returned.
