Lioriley, the tactile woman prone to expressing her affection physically with everyone that allowed it, was surprisingly stiff when she felt the hand on her shoulder. It was comforting; warm and friendly and familiar. But his hand on her meant he could also feel the way her leylines pulsed; about as fast as they had been when he tackled her in the tree, like she was surprised or...scared? Anxious. Nervous. Excited. And it only made her heart race faster.
"You sound surprised." She noted after taking another deep breath to try and calm herself, body relaxing as much as possible while her mind was racing. "I traveled for a long time, and with all of the chaos of the realm I hail from — I suppose I did not make enough time for such things." and when she tried she had failed spectacularly. (Actually, the man courting her had failed spectacularly. But she would never blame him for it).
She shook her head, fiddled with the strings of her hoodie. "Not entirely. My teacher — Magister Kurin — helped as much as my neighbors did with raising him. I had no lover, but I was never left alone to fend for myself in Moon's Refuge."
