"I do not need sleep as humans or many others might thanks to my people's inherent regenerative and healing abilities. But, as with all forms of energy, if it is depleted enough I will need to rest and recharge - sleeping for a short time can speed up the process, but I rarely exert myself to the point that it is necessary."

That probably explained why she didn't need to eat much either. The small meals did plenty to keep her energy stores up.
