Red Team Finale

Throughout the week the red team worked tirelessly, hiding, sneaking, fighting when needed, all to try and figure out the location of the mega weapon that had been rumoured.

Their detective work led them to a remote part of one of the planets, magic and technology had not found anything on this planet but with the information gathered by the many of red team throughout the week they are able to arrive at exact coordinates. And there, behind a shielding field- more advanced or just too alien to be picked up by their checks there was a small ship yard.

And there a huge ship- if it is a ship at all. It really does like a large cannon, but clearly it is meant to fly. Luckily, due to their hard work it is still on the ground. But there are soldiers in the Empire uniform working on what seem like pre flight checks. There are others in smaller fighters, ready to escort the weapon.

It is just before noon on the sixth day and the weapon seems ready to launch any time.

(OOC: Play your own monsters as much as you can here! As long as they can fight through the soldiers they can secure the weapon- it isn't unstable or anything so they don't need to worry about it exploding or such things. The soldiers aim is to get it through the worm hole to fire at the planet and they will fight recklessly to achieve that goal. If they want to try and close the wormhole it will take some level of team work but as long as you come up with a plan that includes everyone that wants to be involved and is dramatic enough all is well! If they do close it then the void treckers can evac back to the train using their SCAs if they remember they can do that!)

Fight, fight, fight! (On the ground):

Curufin, and anybody who came in the fighter craft with him, landed at a distance from those who were sneaking towards the shielded shipyard that concealed the mega-weapon. He wasn't the only one who had come on this mission to make it possible for the stealth group to reach the weapon. There were other Void Warriors, and all meant to battle their way through the Empire forces that were guarding the shipyard.

Battle took place very quickly, as the Empire soldiers realized, to their dismay, that their weapon's location had been discovered. In coordination with others, Curufin charged in, blaster in one hand, sword in the other. He fired with deadly accuracy, and when the fighting became hand-to-hand, he slashed and stabbed with his sword and fired the blaster whenever he could get a shot off and not risk killing a teammate.

But more Empire soldiers came out of the shipyard and from encampments near it, and the Void Warriors were soon drastically outnumbered. But Curufin had an ace up his sleeve. He had a sorcerous power, that of casting a vision into the minds of others, and the images could be accompanied by feelings of terror and aversion that might even last for months or years. He remembered Eva Iden'no's pokemon images from her pokedex. Specifically, of the gyarados. This image would do very well, he thought, with a grim smile. Since his vision-casting ability depended on a medium of transmission, namely, his voice, he filled his lungs with a deep breath of air and cried out in a voice of thunder: "Look above you, soldiers of the Empire of Stars!!! Your fate is upon you, your doom is sealed!"

He seriously hoped that the enemy soldiers all had minds that were capable of falling prey to this illusion. He poured all his power into this effort, creating not only the gyarados in those susceptible minds, but an ambient darkness that would seem to surround the Empire soldiers and evoke a deadly fear, a inexorable feeling that all was lost. The vision existed in the minds of those who were its target, not in the actual world, but the targets would not be able to tell the difference. They would look up and see an immense dragon-like creature that rolled and twisted in the air and plunged towards them, mouth open and razor-sharp teeth ready to tear and rend. This being looked like a cross between a creature of the air and a monster of the sea, and the darkness around it was oceanic and filled the air with waves of horror that struck the viewers with great force.

Curufin strove not to let the vision spill over in its full horror into the minds of his companions, but it is likely they would catch glimpses of it.

Many of the Empire soldiers looked up and their faces showed their fear. Some fought anyway, but some began to run for cover.

Fight, fight, fight! (In the fighter craft, in space):

Curufin took the fighter back up to provide cover and distraction for those who will attempt to close the wormhole. "In position!" he radioed, and he kept watch for any Empire ships that might be watching or pursuing.
