Mission Five: Conclusion

The Voidtreckers turn the tide, save the day. That isn't to say it is easy or straightforward, the battles are tough but together Red Team prevents the mega weapon getting through, orange team maintain shields, blue team fend off those trying to attack the command centre and purple fight the battle of their lives.

The system is safe and everyone who hasn't already evacuated back to the train using their SCA can gather on the space station again. There is a roar of noise as the Void Trecker Express appears in the hanger once more, noise and wind rushing through their hair it is no mystery why the army here reacted in shock at their initial arrival.

Hitrinto is there, as are many of those the void treckers have met in their week in this system. Here to thank them for their timely rescue and to wave them off.

The voidtreckers as well are reunited, the four teams back as one and it is time to re-board the Voidtrecker Express and move on to the next adventure!

"Iden'no-san!"

Kaito races after her, worried.

"What's wrong?"

Kaiba's still coming down from the adrenaline rush as he boards, and it leaves him oddly tired. Looks like he put his uniform shirt on inside out, but not that he cares. He just wants to nap.

That ends when someone crashes into his back and he nearly tips over, throwing his arms against the wall of the train to brace himself, hanging in the air for a moment before he turns around.

"Watch where you're going, you---Eva?"

He puts a hand on her elbow.

"What's the big hurry?"

She has the decency to look up and wince. Of all the people she could have run into. Damnit. "Ate something that didn't agree with me. You know it is, hahaha..."

Even she knows that's a weak come back as she edges around him. "Sorry. I-"

Need to go get anti-histamines and epipen and probably camp out in medical or at least near a toilet for a while. "It happens sometimes."

"Kaiba-san!" Kaito comes up behind her. "Something's wrong with her."

"Iden'no-san, let us help, c'mon man..."

Kaiba takes the opportunity to peer down at her. Definitely red-faced...is she feverish, maybe? He squints down at her and flicks the hood off.

"We're going to medical. Kaito, help me."

Yup. Not taking no for an answer. He'll start guiding her there.

"Hey!" She flinches back, shoulders hunched and head ducked as if that hides the fact she's very much allergic to something.

"I- Fine..." It's more resigned and unhappy at this point, but if it'll get her to medical, she'll take it.

She just wishes it wasn't with people, but if they're coming -guiding her- "Don't tell anyone. Please."

As soon as they're at Medical, she's headed straight for the epipen first.

"C'mon Iden'no-san."

Kaito nods gratefully at Kaiba, glad for the help.

"Um. That's an epipen. What... did you eat...?"

"Mm. A clear allergic reaction. Was it something on the station, or something we'll find on the train?"

Kaiba squints at her suspiciously, face lined with worry.

She holds off answering until she had the epipen and the anti-histamines. Technically, she just needs the epipen, but she'd always rathered overkill than not when it came to this Issue.

"...Both. Yet, I know what the Train does to anything someone is allergic to. I won't-"

She can't, and she's remaining right by the sink. "There'd be a riot and I know how to manage it typically."

"Iden'no-san... if you're needing the epipen... I don't think people would protest, if it keeps you alive."

"A riot....mm, so not the onions then."

Kaiba thinks for a minute about what it could be. And then he grimaces. "Coffee. And the train will remove it all in response?"

Kaito winces at the thought.

"oooooooooh dear." He nods. "It got rid of onions when the spider-kids were allergic, I'm pretty sure."

"Yes, to both. I... I unknowingly drank a travel mug of alien coffee thinking it was tea. If I'd known, I'd have avoided it." she says with a shrug.

"Better overkill than note in this case.- and please don't tell anyone. I dont need to be coddled by the train or them."

He frowns thougtfully.

"Was it that it was alien coffee or that it was coffee? And ... tea is ok?"

He can... possibly work with this

"...when we get a proper attending physician, they need to know," Kaiba pointed out. "We may need to test what exactly is in it that you're allergic to."

"It was coffee- I've been through this reaction, and the tests, before," Eva admits with a resigned twist of her mouth as her hand closes around the edge of the sink.

She tries, hard, to keep her temper down when all she wants to do is go curl up beside a toilet, not stand around a sink debating this and feeling as if she's being babied. But, that's thoroughly on her, not the boys, who are doing their best to help and doesn't deserve to have their heads bitten off.

They're just boys; helping is what boys do and she knows that.

She exhales, long and slow in an effort to gather her frayed emotions into something less frayed. "I also avoid anything I know has caffeine in it, and drink decaf teas. I've lived with this since I was born, so..."

Kaito grimaces, and contemplates a life onboard without coffee.

Oh kamisama, the Detective will murder him. They'll never find his body.

"Well, if you know, then at least this was just a mistake, right? Hopefully the train'll just... provide you an epipen. Maybe we can find some caffiene substitues."

"Mm. We'll figure something out without causing a mutiny. It can't be that hard."

Kaiba pinches the bridge of his nose. "As long as you're all right. Want some decaf now?"

She shoots Kaito a dark look as frustration bubbles over before she catches it and snorts. "I'm no masochist."

She huffs, snorts again as hands clench and unclench with a grimace before she settles with a scowling huff. It's not their fault. They're boys. She can't blame them for helping, for taking care of her, and she can't bite heads off.

"Nah. I've got all the drink here I need," she says with a nod towards the sink, even if water is so not appealing right now. "Worst comes to worst, I'll own up to it, but for now..." Her eyes harden into something that expects to be obeyed. "No-one one outside you boys need know. Please."

Kaito chews on his lip.

"I guess I can keep it quiet..." he says dubiously.

She doesn't quietly sag with relief, but it's there in the way her shoulders dip and corners of her eyes loosen. It's not much, but it's something.

"Thank you, Kuroba-kun."

She's going to be so, so unhappy when she eventually discovers her SCA beeps if there anything related to coffee in her food or drink. Thanks, Train. She hates it.

Hey, at least he will be quietly relieved~
