Mission Five: Conclusion

The Voidtreckers turn the tide, save the day. That isn't to say it is easy or straightforward, the battles are tough but together Red Team prevents the mega weapon getting through, orange team maintain shields, blue team fend off those trying to attack the command centre and purple fight the battle of their lives.

The system is safe and everyone who hasn't already evacuated back to the train using their SCA can gather on the space station again. There is a roar of noise as the Void Trecker Express appears in the hanger once more, noise and wind rushing through their hair it is no mystery why the army here reacted in shock at their initial arrival.

Hitrinto is there, as are many of those the void treckers have met in their week in this system. Here to thank them for their timely rescue and to wave them off.

The voidtreckers as well are reunited, the four teams back as one and it is time to re-board the Voidtrecker Express and move on to the next adventure!

"I did, or at least to the best of my ability but..." Considering what was going on it was a lot to take in on what he actually did. Sure he was used to major things happening but this was something else.

"I am sure you did well too, I mean.. we at least made it through."

"Mm." Kaiba looks a little pale. He forcibly folds his hands into place on his chest.

"I heard someone died. I didn't want to believe it. But we're being thrown into these things so ill-prepared that it was inevitable...."

He didn't know what he would do if they'd lost Yugi. It feels rude to say that, but the look he gives him tries to communicate that.

Yugi looked down. he had heard word of such a thing but didn't know it to be true or not. But with it going around... how could it not? It was not a fun thing to honestly think about.

Yugi recalled the many times he had been in near death situations and what that was like. It was enough to cause a shiver in the man. "I mean, I definitely was ill-prepared for such a thing... So I'm not surprised...But I guess I'm surprised I managed to come out of it okay..."

Really got the young man to think.

Kaiba could relate, unfortunately for him. He shifted closer. his voice lowering.

"My stepfather treated peoples' lives as pawns on his chessboard, in his role as a war profiteer. I overthrew him, but followed in his footsteps...to your detriment."

He blinked, surprised it had come out so vehemently. I'm sorry, he thinks with a small frown, unable to say the words yet.

"This isn't a game. I'm doing everything I can to prepare us for what's to come...but you can't die on me, Yugi. Not until we duel."

It's a hollow joke, but it's all he has.

Yugi found himself pausing for a moment. He knew he didn't know much about Kaiba family life, b but he had been aware of the things Kaiba had done that one time. But Yugi had gotten passed that a while back, it was in the past... where it really should stay.

"Yes, but you also got yourself out of that too and did better. All back home knew you better as a genius gamer and creator of the duel disk after all." Which was in his mind pretty amazing to say the least.

Arms crossed over his chest all he could do was give a tiny smile and a small nod. "I won't die. I mean we still have to work on getting your deck back to be able to duel first."

That's enough to make him smile a little. "And I'm known to be impossible to please."

Not so true anymore, but he has appearances to keep up. "When we get back, I'm starting a class on critical repairs. There's a spot for you. And...if I can recover the other cards, we'll teach Duel Monsters too."

"I am sure that's because you have certain standards" Sure one couldn't take shortcuts on certain things for sure as that could go very wrong.

"I know we did have the idea of me being taught something, so I will happily take that spot." This mission really hammered it home just how much Yugi needed to have more skills than what he does have. But at the other class idea he couldn't help but smile. "I think we would have people interested already in those classes, so we best do our best to get what we need."
