Mission Five: Conclusion

The Voidtreckers turn the tide, save the day. That isn't to say it is easy or straightforward, the battles are tough but together Red Team prevents the mega weapon getting through, orange team maintain shields, blue team fend off those trying to attack the command centre and purple fight the battle of their lives.

The system is safe and everyone who hasn't already evacuated back to the train using their SCA can gather on the space station again. There is a roar of noise as the Void Trecker Express appears in the hanger once more, noise and wind rushing through their hair it is no mystery why the army here reacted in shock at their initial arrival.

Hitrinto is there, as are many of those the void treckers have met in their week in this system. Here to thank them for their timely rescue and to wave them off.

The voidtreckers as well are reunited, the four teams back as one and it is time to re-board the Voidtrecker Express and move on to the next adventure!

He left his room at some point and gone to his office. He was tucked in the bench seat long ways, his back against the wall. There was an open bottle and a tumbler in his hand as he looked up at Kaito. He'd thought he'd locked that door, but he hadn't. It was okay, truth be told. Kaito was certainly someone he wouldn't turn away even in this condition.

"Everything is wrong," he lamented. "Ignis, Joss, Buttercup.. they're all gone. I have a box.. Joss' ashes." It was the only thing they could find that would serve as an urn.

"Ah man..." He frowns - he hadn't heard that anyone had died.

"Ah, Tony-san.... I'm sorry man."

He shook his head. "I don't know why this mission. As far as obstacles go, it wasn't so much greater compared to our other ones, was it?" He asked. He had suspected he would have more issues with it but he didn't think the Voidtreckers as a whole would.

"How's everyone else?" He asked, unsure if he had the brain power to deal with any more problems. However, he was the leader so he needed to know. If he had to, he would suck it up and go deal with whatever was needed but he hoped not.

"Well.... I guess we WERE in space? That's... different, at least." He shrugs helplessly.

"I'm okay. The Detectives and Iden'no-san are too. Kaiba-san saved our asses multiple times - you'd like him, he's smart."

He offers, a bit of distracting patter, maybe?

If looks could kill, Kaito would be joining Joss in that box. He knew they were in space, jackass! Forgive him, Kaito, he's not in a good place for humor.

He rubbed his face in irritation, which was the only thing he could do other than strangle the poor kid. Although, the next part of what his young friend said was good news. "I do like him. He's very practical. He could use a better sense of humor. You should work on that for me."

He shrugs, spreading his hands at him, the mask never cracking.

"I can try. But you know it's not your fault, Tony-san."

He'd feel bad for that reaction later. Kaito knew he liked him and wouldn't growl at him like that if he was in his right mind- at least Tony hoped he knew that.

"I was the one who encouraged Joss to go with the blue team. Ignis wanted me to go with them too and I said no. The red team needed my help." But had it really? He didn't know. "Just.. the thought of any of you kids getting hurt or.. we deserve better ways to protect ourselves."

"Still his choice." He points out. "And red team did need you."

He nods. "Fair. But you realise... a lot of em... they beenn making adult choices before they got here. They're gonna keep making them, no matter what you do. You can't protect us all, y'know. It doesn't work that way." Gently. "Doesn't mean we don't like that you try. But you aren't god, Tony-san. No one's asking you to be."
