Under the Sea: Mission start

After fleeing the strange shapes in the sky the voidtreckers are perhaps not looking forward to yet another mission and indeed the first few days of Fiddlesticks go by without any strange dreams, no warning that another mission might be nigh. Yet on the morning of day five their SCA's will glow with the colours of the void and a holographic message will appear.

Preperations

The dressing room is open once again, though the clothes this time are simple in choice. A wet suit for each void trecker as well as a pair of flippers, a helmet and a breathing pack. It at least has instructions and there will be a little bit of time for them to figure out how to use them. Apart from that there are some waterproof packs for supplies to be packed in.

They will have a couple of hours to get ready for their mission.

Arrival: Blue and Red

"We are now approaching world #7625000129523. Drop order is Red and Blue, Purple then Orange. Red and Blue team to doors. Arrival in world #7625000129523 in ten, nine, eight, seven, six, five, four, three, two, one."

The train shudders and lurches as they exit the void, the view from the window goes from the ever shifting void to a beautiful deep blue sky. They fly through the air and swoop down to land on a sandy beach. The doors open allowing those who are taking part in the Blue and Red missions to debark. The doors close and the train swoops up into the air.

The beach stretches from one side to the other, in the distance as the beach turns into sloping green hills they can see a village. Beyond that there is a jungle. Any red team who check their SCA will see four points, the rock pools.

The villagers have noticed the huge train sweeping down onto their island and so contact is made quickly. They will be quite accepting of the help and explain the situation. They will help any of red team to the rockpools if asked.

Red

The rockpools are built up and indeed made so the water will reach a persons waist if they stand in them. The water is cold but not overly so. When the water shoots up anyone in them will shoot up also.

They will find themselves in a vortex of water, with anyone else who enters that rockpool. The water itself seems to be fighting them, tendrils of water reaching out of the whirlpool to try and drag them further into the chaos. It takes a whole lot of willpower to stay in the centre, the water can be fought with weapons, even with fists. They feel as if they are falling or flying, perhaps both. Surrounded by the pure chaos of the ocean.

Blue

Hopefully they spend the day helping with preparations because when night falls the monsters emerge from the sea. Terrifying twisted creatures. The villagers only have simple weapons but will tell them that fire is helpful against these water creatures.

Hold off the monsters and keep the people safe.

Purple

The doors close and the train flies off into the sky, flying over the island to the other side where it lands on a rocky bay, near tall towering cliffs.

"Purple team to doors." The doors open, allowing the purple team to disembark before flying off once again.

In the cliff face there is a large cave entrance, over the entrance there are symbols, translated by their SCA's. Clear mind, clear heart. Come those who seek to serve.

There are six people stood by the entrance, looking quite surprised at the new arrivals. One, a woman with silver hair recovers enough to speak first. "Ah. Void warriors. We are honoured by your help."

Once introductions are made the spiritual leaders will happily accept the escort and their adventure can begin.

Orange

They fly up and out across the ocean, a longer flight than before but eventually they descend and there is a slight juddering before they land, floating on the ocean.

"Orange team disembark, please use luggage or dressing carriage doors only."

They will step out onto an inflated platform that streches around the train. Down below are the depths of the water and their SCA's show them at the point of Bui. It is below them so all they need to is dive.

The dive takes a while, and depends on their swimming ability but hopefully with a bit of teamwork they arrive at the silent city of Bui.

The rocking helped. He relaxed in Gladio's arms, even as he still cried. "I promised Iggy I would help on the ground... He's gonna be mad, isn't he?"

[callmegladio]

"No, he's not going to be mad..." And if, for some reason Ignis did get mad... He'd have an even more mad Gladio to contend with. But he knew that wouldn't be a possibility. Ignis could never be angry with Noct. And if he knew why his King wasn't on the ground with the rest of them, if he had any inkling as to why, he was sure Ignis would have made Noct stay behind.

"He'd want you safe, love. He'd want you away from danger." He spoke softly, still stroking his hand over Nocts hair. "He'd want you here."

Noct took a shaky breath, Gladio's words ringing true. Ignis had said he would keep Noct safe. If he had seen how Noct had reacted, he probably would have told him to stay behind.

"And no one will be mad that you're here, right?"

[callmegladio]

Gladio shook his head and then dropped a gentle kiss atop Nocts. "No one's going to be mad, Noct. I'd been thinking of not going before this... You just made the decision easier for me."

Hearing that took a weight off of Noct's chest. "Really?" He wouldn't have blamed Gladio, not after his ordeal. "So... What do we do?"

[callmegladio]

"We stay here until they come back." Gladio answered in that same, gentle and soothing tone. "I think orange team'll be hanging around here doing their mission, so we won't be completely alone. We can help them out if you feel up to it. Otherwise we can do as much or as little as you want."

Noct nodded, limply laying across Gladio. His body was exhausted from being so tense. "For now, I just want to lay with you..."

[callmegladio]

Gladio smiled and moved them so that Gladio could lay down on the bed, and brought Noct down with him, moving the younger man so that he was laying atop him rather than beside. He kept his arms around Noct. Keeping him safe. "Then lay with me, love. I'm here."

Noct snuggled with Gladio, body relaxing more and more. "I'm glad you came to me. I was so frozen, I'm surprised I was able to call out for you."

[callmegladio]

"I'm glad you could..." He said as he slowly rubbed a hand up and down Nocts back, smiling as he felt him starting to relax. "I'd have noticed though. I wasn't too far away." And Gladio had been making his way there anyway, with a plan to apologise and wish them luck on their mission. It had just been his good fortune that he'd been closer to Noct than anyone else.

Noct laughed softly. "You're the best, you know that? I can always count on you." Maybe that's why he was the first person he called out to. "We can spend some time together, just... Relaxing. Maybe we can cook for the orange team?"

[callmegladio]

"Maybe I can cook for the orange team." Gladio chuckled. "But I like that plan. Just relaxing. We'll find something to keep ourselves entertained, Noct." But he couldn't deny the warm feeling he had from knowing Noct had called for him, that he felt he could be counted on. That was all he really wanted in life.

[sonoflucis]

Noct laughed, snuggling Gladio. "I can make snack bowls." He suggested. "But I concede that I probably shouldn't cook." There was a sparkle in his eyes as he smiled at Gladio. "But we definitely should keep ourselves busy."

[callmegladio]

"You can help me though." Gladio decided. Noct could at least handle a blade, so chopping things up shouldn't be a problem.

He grinned and leaned his forward to kiss the bridge of Nocts nose, then his forehead. "And we will. Even if by busy you mean a crazy amount of naps." Because he knew he would be more than happy to join Noct for each and every one of them.

Noct nodded. "Yeah! I'll help anyway I can."

Noct laughed at the kisses, smiling brightly. "I like naps! And some gardening... And more naps!" He thought about it. "If we sleep at a different time, maybe we can avoid the warping for now..."

[callmegladio]

"I know you will." He didn't doubt that for a second. Noct could always be relied on to lend a hand when needed.

"I know you do." Gladio laughed. "I'd go as far as to say they're a hobby of yours. But you could be right? We'll have to experiment and see."

[sonoflucis]

Noct nodded, closing his eyes. It was the middle of the day, but he was tired from being so freaked out. "Maybe we should test it now..."

[callmegladio]

"You rest, love." Gladio soothed, his hand still rubbing along his boyfriends back. "Get some sleep. We'll work out what to do later."

Noct normally didn't like his back touched, but Gladio knew exactly where to put his hands. He trusted Gladio like no other. He went limp, sleep beginning to take him, but not before muttering a declaration of love for the man holding him.

Gladio was infinitely careful of where he touched, he was gentle and slow, understanding Nocts issues with his back. But once Noct fell asleep his hand stilled and he instead just wrapped his arm about the other man to keep him safe and secure where he was.

Eventually his own eyes closed. Still tired from his own ordeal, it didn't take him long to join Noct in sleep.
