Under the Sea: Mission start

After fleeing the strange shapes in the sky the voidtreckers are perhaps not looking forward to yet another mission and indeed the first few days of Fiddlesticks go by without any strange dreams, no warning that another mission might be nigh. Yet on the morning of day five their SCA's will glow with the colours of the void and a holographic message will appear.

Preperations

The dressing room is open once again, though the clothes this time are simple in choice. A wet suit for each void trecker as well as a pair of flippers, a helmet and a breathing pack. It at least has instructions and there will be a little bit of time for them to figure out how to use them. Apart from that there are some waterproof packs for supplies to be packed in.

They will have a couple of hours to get ready for their mission.

Arrival: Blue and Red

"We are now approaching world #7625000129523. Drop order is Red and Blue, Purple then Orange. Red and Blue team to doors. Arrival in world #7625000129523 in ten, nine, eight, seven, six, five, four, three, two, one."

The train shudders and lurches as they exit the void, the view from the window goes from the ever shifting void to a beautiful deep blue sky. They fly through the air and swoop down to land on a sandy beach. The doors open allowing those who are taking part in the Blue and Red missions to debark. The doors close and the train swoops up into the air.

The beach stretches from one side to the other, in the distance as the beach turns into sloping green hills they can see a village. Beyond that there is a jungle. Any red team who check their SCA will see four points, the rock pools.

The villagers have noticed the huge train sweeping down onto their island and so contact is made quickly. They will be quite accepting of the help and explain the situation. They will help any of red team to the rockpools if asked.

Red

The rockpools are built up and indeed made so the water will reach a persons waist if they stand in them. The water is cold but not overly so. When the water shoots up anyone in them will shoot up also.

They will find themselves in a vortex of water, with anyone else who enters that rockpool. The water itself seems to be fighting them, tendrils of water reaching out of the whirlpool to try and drag them further into the chaos. It takes a whole lot of willpower to stay in the centre, the water can be fought with weapons, even with fists. They feel as if they are falling or flying, perhaps both. Surrounded by the pure chaos of the ocean.

Blue

Hopefully they spend the day helping with preparations because when night falls the monsters emerge from the sea. Terrifying twisted creatures. The villagers only have simple weapons but will tell them that fire is helpful against these water creatures.

Hold off the monsters and keep the people safe.

Purple

The doors close and the train flies off into the sky, flying over the island to the other side where it lands on a rocky bay, near tall towering cliffs.

"Purple team to doors." The doors open, allowing the purple team to disembark before flying off once again.

In the cliff face there is a large cave entrance, over the entrance there are symbols, translated by their SCA's. Clear mind, clear heart. Come those who seek to serve.

There are six people stood by the entrance, looking quite surprised at the new arrivals. One, a woman with silver hair recovers enough to speak first. "Ah. Void warriors. We are honoured by your help."

Once introductions are made the spiritual leaders will happily accept the escort and their adventure can begin.

Orange

They fly up and out across the ocean, a longer flight than before but eventually they descend and there is a slight juddering before they land, floating on the ocean.

"Orange team disembark, please use luggage or dressing carriage doors only."

They will step out onto an inflated platform that streches around the train. Down below are the depths of the water and their SCA's show them at the point of Bui. It is below them so all they need to is dive.

The dive takes a while, and depends on their swimming ability but hopefully with a bit of teamwork they arrive at the silent city of Bui.

"Exactly.Better to do escorting as a team, but it does still mean fights are most likely to happen... after all if nothing were to happen you wouldn't need one in the first place." So he figured he would keep his abilities quiet until they were needed.

But for the moment he looked around at the others briefly. "Do you think being as a big group would work for this type of thing though?"

"I'm.. not sure," she admits with a slight frown on her face. She at least trusts Allen enough to give her honest opinion on the matter, especially since she feels like it's the logical answer here.

"It's hard to tell, considering we have no idea yet what we're up against. On one hand, perhaps the threat will be large enough to require a lot of people to face it. On the other hand, we only become more of a target with all of them and all of us traveling together."

Alice pauses, sighs, and then admits more reluctantly: "I'm not used to working together with a lot of people like this. I'm not quite sure I like it in general."

"But that's where teamwork comes into play. I admit I don't actually know a lot of people here to know their fighting style and how to work with them, but it's something we need to do."

He smiled slightly. "You might not be used to it, but it's something that is quite often necessary. Though there might also be times when people will go off on their own too and that is okay sometimes. If you think it's the best situation of course."

"I'm not planning on going off on my own." She almost sounds a little defensive about that. But despite that tone, she is telling the truth - she really wasn't planning on going off on her own. Although she could probably handle whatever danger is out there, it'd just be a hassle to find everyone again later.

"Although it sure sounds a lot more appealing than teamwork. I can understand that it might not be such a terrible concept to you, since you seem to get along with just about anyone, but I'm not that type. Who would want to even work together with someone like me?"

"That's good. Though this is one of the few times where even I wouldn't understand going off on our own since we are meant to be escorting someone." He could only think of those who go on ahead and make sure the coast is clear, but that was all that he could think of.

He moved his hands behind his back for the moment "There are always those types who don't do the whole teamwork thing well. I actually knew someone who told me on our very first mission that if I was in trouble he wasn't going to help." he wasn't going to add that they didn't get along either for reasons, but Kanda just seemed like that type of person in general. But knowing what he knew now he could... somewhat understand why he might have done that.

"So the answer really is I would. You might not be at all use to it, but I think with the friends you make here, if we are then it will work out"
irrationally: (and gave a look askance)

Wow. Call it hypocritical - and it mostly definitely is, since Alice would tell some people the same thing just to be able to seem like she doesn't care even when she does - but she can't help but judge the person who told Allen that. Sure, Allen kind of seems like an idiot, mostly since he's so overly reckless when it comes to helping people, but he's not a bad person who deserves to be abandoned like that in a time of need. Talk about rude.

The fact that Allen is not a bad person is only proven by what he says after that. It makes the bridge of Alice's nose wrinkle into a near-pout.

"You would work together with anyone. I'm not so sure if I should be honored with those kinds of standards."

[personal profile] mynameisallen 2020-05-21 09:14 am (UTC)(link)
"I do have some standards. It's better to work with people you work best with than with people who just do not like you." Sure he ended up doing okay when with the other on missions, but he didn't necessarily like having to work with him before everything that happened in fact happened. Mostly because it always ended up with at least some bickering more than anything.

"So yes I would work with anyone, if they want it, but sometimes there are just some people that's best to not try either."

"I don't think there would be a lot of people who don't like you."

Yes, that's her indirectly admitting that Allen is a likeable guy. Don't read too much into it! She's not intending on the fact that she's giving a compliment here to be the main focus of what she's saying, okay.

"Only people who dislike people in general, most likely."

"You'd honestly be surprised." He knew a lot of the Order probably didn't like him that much, there was at least one exorcist who didn't simply because of his need to want to save even the enemy, but he was fine with everyone else.

But he soon laughed slightly. "But thank you for saying I'm likable. Does that mean you like me even with my flaws?"
irrationally: (tell me what's my destination)

[personal profile] irrationally 2020-05-24 11:39 am (UTC)(link)
What part of don't read too much into it is so hard to understand, Allen! You're not supposed to point out what's implied by her words! Because while the answer to that question is actually relatively simple, there's no way Alice can just say that. It's so obvious too, because the moment he says that, surprise flashes across her face, followed by very momentary awkwardness that she quickly tries to shove back and away under her permanent resting grumpface.

"Did I say anything of the sort?" Humph!! Alice is just going to pretend to be really busy with looking around them for a moment. "I tolerate you enough to talk to you. Can't you figure out the rest by yourself?"

In other words, yes, Allen, she likes you. Even with all your flaws. That's why she keeps fussing over you to begin with! It's just that she might die if she has to spell it out more clearly than this.

Allen just smiled. He always knew to never push someone too much, mostly because he wouldn't want people to do that to him, but has still happened anyway so he can understand how one could react.

He simply accepted it and looked around, rather contempt. After all they should really be focusing on the task at hand anyway.

"So... the mission seems simple, but I don't think it's going to be simple."
irrationally: (paid all our dues)

[personal profile] irrationally 2020-05-25 02:39 pm (UTC)(link)
Thankfully Alice's tsun awkwardness seems to be smoothed out by the change in focus. Talking about her feelings for other people is practically impossible for her, but talking about the mission at hand is a lot more practical. And a lot more objective. It's so much easier.

So she manages to sound a bit less tense when she speaks up again after sucking in a breath.

"We're going to get attacked for sure." Why else would these spiritual leader types need protection, after all? It's not as if they're just lonely and want some company during their journey. "The information we're still missing is what exactly will attack us."
mynameisallen: (Glance ★ Determined to win)

[personal profile] mynameisallen 2020-05-27 09:01 am (UTC)(link)
He nodded slightly. They didn't know what will, but he could take a slight guess at any possibility.

"Well considering its water-related world we seem to be on, maybe what will attack us will be water-related too?" It seemed logical that this would be the case, but didn't give any idea of what exact water-creatures would ve a thing.
irrationally: (be the last one)

[personal profile] irrationally 2020-05-28 09:43 pm (UTC)(link)
"That would make sense."

But that slight emphasis there is that Alice knows that often things don't make sense. In fact, she wouldn't be too surprised if something suddenly popped up that had no business being underwater. Like an elephant or something. It'd suit the general ridiculousness of the train itself.

"You don't happen to fight using fire, right? This would be a rather unfortunate setting for that kind of thing."
mynameisallen: (190)

[personal profile] mynameisallen 2020-05-30 10:41 am (UTC)(link)
"Sorry to say that, no. I have no fighting ability using fire. That would be someone I know, but isn't here." He hadn't seen Lavi in...A very long time. he wondered how he was, not really knowing that well he wasn't at the Order anyway or else his thoughts would be a lot more sadder.

"I just have a claw some attacks and if needed a really big sword."
