Under the Sea: Mission start

After fleeing the strange shapes in the sky the voidtreckers are perhaps not looking forward to yet another mission and indeed the first few days of Fiddlesticks go by without any strange dreams, no warning that another mission might be nigh. Yet on the morning of day five their SCA's will glow with the colours of the void and a holographic message will appear.

Preperations

The dressing room is open once again, though the clothes this time are simple in choice. A wet suit for each void trecker as well as a pair of flippers, a helmet and a breathing pack. It at least has instructions and there will be a little bit of time for them to figure out how to use them. Apart from that there are some waterproof packs for supplies to be packed in.

They will have a couple of hours to get ready for their mission.

Arrival: Blue and Red

"We are now approaching world #7625000129523. Drop order is Red and Blue, Purple then Orange. Red and Blue team to doors. Arrival in world #7625000129523 in ten, nine, eight, seven, six, five, four, three, two, one."

The train shudders and lurches as they exit the void, the view from the window goes from the ever shifting void to a beautiful deep blue sky. They fly through the air and swoop down to land on a sandy beach. The doors open allowing those who are taking part in the Blue and Red missions to debark. The doors close and the train swoops up into the air.

The beach stretches from one side to the other, in the distance as the beach turns into sloping green hills they can see a village. Beyond that there is a jungle. Any red team who check their SCA will see four points, the rock pools.

The villagers have noticed the huge train sweeping down onto their island and so contact is made quickly. They will be quite accepting of the help and explain the situation. They will help any of red team to the rockpools if asked.

Red

The rockpools are built up and indeed made so the water will reach a persons waist if they stand in them. The water is cold but not overly so. When the water shoots up anyone in them will shoot up also.

They will find themselves in a vortex of water, with anyone else who enters that rockpool. The water itself seems to be fighting them, tendrils of water reaching out of the whirlpool to try and drag them further into the chaos. It takes a whole lot of willpower to stay in the centre, the water can be fought with weapons, even with fists. They feel as if they are falling or flying, perhaps both. Surrounded by the pure chaos of the ocean.

Blue

Hopefully they spend the day helping with preparations because when night falls the monsters emerge from the sea. Terrifying twisted creatures. The villagers only have simple weapons but will tell them that fire is helpful against these water creatures.

Hold off the monsters and keep the people safe.

Purple

The doors close and the train flies off into the sky, flying over the island to the other side where it lands on a rocky bay, near tall towering cliffs.

"Purple team to doors." The doors open, allowing the purple team to disembark before flying off once again.

In the cliff face there is a large cave entrance, over the entrance there are symbols, translated by their SCA's. Clear mind, clear heart. Come those who seek to serve.

There are six people stood by the entrance, looking quite surprised at the new arrivals. One, a woman with silver hair recovers enough to speak first. "Ah. Void warriors. We are honoured by your help."

Once introductions are made the spiritual leaders will happily accept the escort and their adventure can begin.

Orange

They fly up and out across the ocean, a longer flight than before but eventually they descend and there is a slight juddering before they land, floating on the ocean.

"Orange team disembark, please use luggage or dressing carriage doors only."

They will step out onto an inflated platform that streches around the train. Down below are the depths of the water and their SCA's show them at the point of Bui. It is below them so all they need to is dive.

The dive takes a while, and depends on their swimming ability but hopefully with a bit of teamwork they arrive at the silent city of Bui.

At hearing Duo would have something he might want, the head tipped curiously. That curiousity only increased as he headed over to where the boy indicated. Upon seeing the weapons, the blondish head nodded. "If you're not using them I've no doubt they may prove to be invaluable to my team."

He made no move to touch them as they weren't his to do so. But he was interested and would definitely be offering them to everyone. After all, who knew how long they would be down there and maybe if nothing else, the islanders could use them to defend their homes. It made him recall the news about Insomnia falling and how they'd tried to go back. The advisor had his own weapons, but there were those unlucky enough who might not.

Duo grinned. "Can't carry them all myself. I'm not trained with a sword anyway. So you can take em for your team. I don't know if there's some train armoury where we can keep things like this, but if there is you can just shove them there when you're done with them. They're just leftovers from the last mission I didn't get to pass around."
faithfulsupport: (Are you alright? -r)

[personal profile] faithfulsupport 2020-05-20 03:37 am (UTC)(link)
Ignis nodded. "A train armoury would be an excellent place to start." That way people could practice with them when not in use." He wouldn't need them but the resource itself was valuable and he damn well knew that.

"They're going to require a larger rucksack than I have. But give me a moment, I do believe I can acquire one." So Ignis went off to go do just that.

Duo sat himself down on the bench beside his things and waited. He didn't know who would really need the swords. Maybe he should have saved them for the Red Team, but he just assumed if anyone was going to have weapons it would be those guys. The Blue Team would be fighting a lot, they needed them as well. It was a no brainer to him. Even if this guy didn't need them maybe someone else on his team would?

He returned a few minutes later with a big enough sack. He sighed inwardly, hoping that the weapons given over would somehow help with his team or the villagers.

But curious scholar was curious. "Are these perhaps your own weapons?" If they were or weren't they would be treated with the utmost care.

"I suppose you could technically say they're mine. Now anyway. I got em from that last world and when everything went to hell I still had them on me when I came back to the train. I'd been meaning to get them to people who needed them, on the wall and stuff. I've weapons of my own so really they're just my surplus." Of course he could have used them as spares. But he was hoping they would run into different worlds with other, better weapons he could have. "Plus... I can't use a sword. Never had training with one. So better give them to people who know what to do with them!"
faithfulsupport: (Yet here you are)

[personal profile] faithfulsupport 2020-05-25 10:22 pm (UTC)(link)
Ignis nodded to Duo's explanation. He too knew about collecting weapons because he'd grabbed a shield and taser from one of the missions and had given those right to Madoka. "Being resourceful is never a bad thing."

He picked up one of them and eyed it. "Seems they're well made, and they could certainly be used for those that might not otherwise be fortunate enough to already possess a weapon." With a sigh ad another nod, the advisor started packing a few up. "I will keep in mind to be on the hunt for more weapons on this mission. Maybe we can gather a good amount of weapons for future missions."

Turning to the other at the last statement, Ignis tilted his head. "Then what sort of weaponry do you wield?"
maxwellsdaemon: (Hah)

[personal profile] maxwellsdaemon 2020-05-30 02:55 am (UTC)(link)
Duo arched a brow. Why was this guy sighing so much? Was he that put out to be dealing with him, he wondered. Maybe the swords weren't to his lofty tastes after all? Duo grinned and brushed it off. He didn't know the guy but so far he wasn't getting the best of vibes from him, but who knew?

His grin widened when the question was thrown his way. "Big ass robot." He replied with a laugh. "Barring that, I'm handy with a gun and a blade." And explosives. Not a typical weapon he supposed. But in his hands they were easily weaponized.
faithfulsupport: (Have you double checked?)

[personal profile] faithfulsupport 2020-05-31 10:33 pm (UTC)(link)
'Big ass robot' Duo said. This had Ignis pause. "So you can pilot one if it were here, correct?" He'd heard of Ple Two being able to do such a thing as well. And it made him wonder if the two had met.

Ignis had paused in the gathering of the swords and he wondered. "Have you met our Prompto aboard the train?" Prompto he could at least mollify if there was a problem with their meeting. Ple Two he really didn't know as of yet but was hoping to learn more about her of course.

"And you say a blade..so something is that something along the lines of a dagger?"

"I could. I can fly or drive damn near anything." And if it was something he'd never seen before, give him a minute and he would at least be able to move it forward and turn it. A few more minutes and he'd have it down pat. He was a quick study was Duo.

"Prompto? Yeah, he gave me some hair ties. Nice guy that." He'd bumped into him a few times around the train enough to say hi and shoot the shit before going on their merry way. But it was a strange thing to suddenly ask after asking about his weapons. And then to go back to asking about weapons again? Duo felt dizzy.

"Uh yeah, well knives are better. Smaller. But since I don't have anything else..." He pulled out one of the daggers he'd 'liberated' on the last mission and that he'd kept for himself. A pretty little thing, it had interesting markings along it's blade and looked wickedly sharp. "These guys will do me just fine on the mission I think."
faithfulsupport: (What have you got there?)

[personal profile] faithfulsupport 2020-06-15 04:59 am (UTC)(link)
He nodded at the boy being able to fly or drive things. Too bad that probably wouldn't come in handy during the mission, but if it did so much the better. The hair ties were confusing but Ignis made no mention of it because Prompto could do wacky things and Duo did possess long hair such as none of the Crownsguard wore though Gladio was working on it. However, it would take a long time to grow it such as this boy had.

Ignis had listened to the part about the knives and gathered the rest of the swords, unsure as to who would wield them. Luckily he himself didn't have to worry about that but he would definitely keep them close.

"In that case, thank you again for allowing me to bring the weapons to my team."
