"Oh." That actually was fascinating. There were so many possibilities, so many lives that it might have saved. "So it's like...like a bit of a miracle cure?" But only for certain things. That was weird. If he was more into science, he'd be all over this kind of thing to try and figure it out. "Sounds like it could have been executed better, though."

"Yeah, in its own way, which is just interesting. We'll move forward with the assumption it's meant to be an attack, although how that makes sense is also rather dubious. Why turn everyone to stone but not destroy them?" Senku asked, tilting his head slightly.

"It can heal mortal wounds, which is rather helpful, but I don't know what the upper limit is on that. I guess we're going to be testing that when I get back." He hummed. He certainly hoped it worked.

"Uh. How...are you going to test that kind of thing?" he asked. That sounded kind of ominous. Or alarming. Or maybe both. It didn't sound like an easy thing to test, especially from a non-scientific standpoint like Dyme's.

"I have a dead man waiting for me to bring him back." Senku responded simply. "He wouldn't be the first, but unfortunately his death was inevitable. He was attacked by someone he trusted and regardless of the surgery I performed on him, without modern medicine, he succumbed to sepsis, so I put his body on ice. It's a gamble."

If it didn't work, then Tsukasa was dead anyway and there was nothing he could do about it, but if it did? They'd have their strongest warrior back.

"Oh." That was...a lot different than all of the things he'd been imagining. It was at the same time better and worse. It was morbid, for sure, but there was a chance for hope in there, too. Imagine if the dead could be brought back to life...

"I hope it works, then. Being able to bring someone back to life would be something else." An amazing something else.

"The science is sound, it's just, I'm not sure what freezing his body is going to do or how it's going to affect it." He mused thoughtfully.

"I've experienced the power of the petrification to reverse death, but it was maybe a half an hour tops. It healed Mirai's brain death, and saved Ginro from fatal wounds. It's a very strong force I'm fascinated by."

"In the movies, freezing people like that almost always works," Dyme said. "But...I dunno how that translates to real life. I'm not even sure if that kind of thing exists for real back home."

It was sad to think that he'd probably never find out how things went with the petrification thing because to find out, Senku would have to be back home and...Dyme wouldn't be there. He wasn't much of a science person himself, but now he was curious about how all of this worked out.

"It does, it's a very science fiction solution. It was fine, I needed to do something about food preservation anyway, so a refrigerator was an important build." Senku hummed. Built on a deadline, but weren't most of his projects in some way or another?

"It's the only move we had. He's been dead about a year."

"You don't have a dead guy next to your frozen foods, do you?" Because that was what he was imagining, and he wasn't sure if it was a funny or horrifying mental image.

"And that's...a long time. But I guess not as long as everyone was stone." So maybe it would still be okay?

Senku let out an amused snort. "No, he has his own freezer. Also we don't have any frozen foods anyway. The only thing I used the freezer for apart from conserving his body is to set my thermometer."

He nodded. "Yeah. A year here, or there, isn't so bad anymore." It was all a matter of perspective.
