I'm sure it does. I can see how it would be.

[It was easier to not be surprised when he and his friends were a bit different as well. Maybe not able to put their hand through a wall, but just a bit]

Yeah. Learning to control it was pretty difficult at first, though. My powers didn't manifest until a year or so ago, and when they did they caused quite a bit of trouble.

Yeah, I would imagine something like that might be hard. Probably stressful.

Is it common for these powers to show up at an earlier age or does it really vary based on the person?

Yeah, it was pretty bad at first. Luckily, it got easier the more I practiced with it.

It does depend on the person, but the powers seem to manifest around puberty. [ She shakes her head a little. ] Like that isn't hard enough normally.

That's good. I'm glad it got easier.

[He chuckled] Yes, there is certainly enough going on normally. Then adding something like that to... I can imagine it would make it so much harder.

It definitely makes it difficult. Especially trying to balance regular growing up stuff and keeping powers under control.

And school. That would certainly be stressful to deal with that possibly happening during school.

[ She groans, in an overly-dramatic way. ]

Don't even get me started. I've missed so many days of school, it's a wonder I'm able to keep up at all.

[Quatre smiled sympathetically]

I bet. That would make it all so much harder. I had enough problems with my lessons normally.

[But then again he was privately taught and was not given any leeway because of that, because it was what his father wanted]

Yeah. We manage, though. Some better than others.

That's good at least. I wonder if there are many other worlds that something similar or at least people having abilities that most don't.

It's possible. I've been meeting a lot more people with special abilities on the train, which has been pretty cool.

I have as well. I suppose my space heart might count as one. I don't know anyone else with the same thing in my world.

Yeah, that's true too. It's kind of been fun getting to learn about the different things people are used to.

It has been! I have learned so much from the people here. I never thought I'd have the chance to meet so many people from different places.

Yeah. If there's one good thing about being brought on the train, it's getting to meet all these people from other worlds.

[gundamofthedesert]

I agree. I've met some very nice people here and learned a lot.
