"That sounds like a challenge." Trowa was grinning as he managed to get his fish in and into the bucket with the first two. It was quite a good size, probably enough to feed them both for a meal even without anything else with it.

It didn't take long for Quatre to get his fish out of the water. He glanced at the fish that Trowa had caught. "Well, it looks like your fish is bigger."

Even if it was the same size, Quatre would say that Trowa's fish was bigger.

Both of the fish were of a great size, and Trowa grinned at Quatre. "Want to stop for the day or keep going? I think we've got plenty to eat for tonight, unless you want more."

"I think we have plenty. We shouldn't catch what we don't need and won't use."

At least when they caught the fish and ate them, they were actually using the fish rather than letting it go to waste.

Rather than put his line back in the water, Trowa got up and made a pit in the sand. "Do you want to clean the fish or get some firewood? I've got a big knife that would work to cut some small branches up, and the small one for gutting the fish with." And several others that he just always had handy.

"If you don't mind taking care of the fish, I'll go look for some firewood."

Circle of life though it may be, Quatre didn't particularly have much desire to be involved in it.

"I can do that." Getting up, Trowa ducked into the tent for a moment and pulled out the largest knife he had. "Here, this one is pretty tough, so you can use it for chopping." He passed it over handle first, keeping the small fish knife in his other hand. "See if you can find some smooth twigs we can use for grilling the fish on, too."

Quatre stood up as Trowa went to get the knife, brushing off his pants to get as much of the same off as possible. He reached out his hand for the knife, taking it carefully and looking at it briefly. "I can do that."

With that he headed off into the tree line, staying close enough that he wasn't likely to get lost and Trowa would still be able to find him easily if he needed him for any reason. He gathered and chopped a decent amount of wood, of course looking for ones that would be better for cooking the fish on.

Finally, he returned, wood tucked under one arm as he carried the knife in the other hand, making sure to carry it carefully. "I think I got a good amount of wood and there's a few that will be good for the fish."

While Quatre had been gone, Trowa had managed to get the fish all gutted and descaled. The guts were all on a large leaf where Amira was happily gorging herself with little mewls and purrs interspersed. "Great. I've finished the fish, so we can get the fire going and then start to cook them."

As he returned, Quatre couldn't help a faint chuckle seeing as how this tiny cat was happily munching the entrails of the fish that Trowa had cleaned. Well, nothing was going to waste at least. That would have been the worst part, not everything getting used. It was at least being eaten by a very small cat.

"Sounds good. I'm looking forward to it."

Quatre moved to find a spot where he could start arranging the sticks suitable for the fire so it wasn't too terribly close so that they didn't have to immediately worry about Amira around it, but still close enough so they didn't have to go a long distance to get to it.

As Quatre built the fire, Trowa got up and stepped into the tent for a moment. He came back out with a small box in his hands. "I got matches from the train so we don't have to light it the hard way."

Quatre glanced up as Trowa disappeared into the tent. He glanced over at Amira, who also watched as he went into the tent before she returned to attacking the entrails of the fish that Trowa had given her. Attacking was definitely the right word for it. Quatre smiled as Trowa returned with the matches. "That was a good idea. It would take much longer that way."

Nodding, Trowa grabbed the slimmer sticks and used the fish knife to sharpen them a little. "No sense working harder than we need to. Especially when this place is supposed to be relaxing."

"Exactly." Matches in hand, Quatre first glanced over at Amira one more time to make sure that she was not at all interested in coming over while Quatre was distracted and then began to building his pile of wood so that he could light some smaller pieces to start. He struck one of the matches, using it to light some of the small pieces of wood, carefully protecting them from the wind until the fire was strong enough to begin catching larger pieces alight.
