Adventure On! Comms
Talk to All
Talk to Team
Talk to Individual
For the third option, a list of passengers appears and names can be searched for by letter. Anyone who has been working to try and make communications happen on their own devices will find those linked in to this network- though it is still only possible to use voice. If they have headphones from the music room they can make it so they work like earpieces.

And for as terrifying as Bryn is, it's not like Inigo would want her to wander this place alone, so-- ]
Let's make sure to go hunt together then, hm? Then you don't have to be companionless here either.
no subject
Yes, let's! If we're lucky, we'll be able to take enough meat back home that none of us will have to sink to eating that awful substance we've been provided this month...
[ God might forgive the train for teddy bear luncheon meat but Bryn won't. ]
What do you suppose we might find out here?
no subject
(A thought he may regret once he sees her in hunting action, but communication from a safe distance doesn't feel so scary anymore, at least.) ]
Oh, I actually asked around about that! [ There's a less-than-vague hint of pride in his voice. ] The wildlife around here-- at least what's worth hunting of it mostly seems to consist of bears and boars. Do you have experience with either of those?
[ He has no idea what the wildlife out in Bryn's world was like. Though he guesses it might be like his own, considering her own also has dragons. ]

[ It's a bit more of a chore than the rest of the adventuring going on right now, but truth be told, she's more excited about the hunting than she is everything else. The hunting is familiar – it reminds her of travelling back home, with her companions, when she at least had some sense of direction.
It's nice to have that feeling again, if only faintly. ]
How about you? What do you usually hunt?
no subject
[ He's not even trying to brag - for once, anyway. It was more just a fact of life. It wasn't as if you were going to survive any other way, no matter whether it was in the zombie dragon apocalypse in his future or in the past, where he could hardly make any money as someone who technically wasn't supposed to exist.
So hunting was just the easiest way to still eat. ]
So I'm pretty sure there's nothing out there we can't handle! Even if we accidentally run into a troll, it shouldn't be much of a problem, right? [ Look, if Bryn has the same effect on that troll as she had on him, it'll be running away in less than five seconds, he's sure... ]
no subject
[ Always looking out for the bottom line huh Bryn ]
And well, even if we don't and all we find are boars, just imagine how much pork we'll be able to take back to the train!
no subject
Sure, Inigo doesn't doubt that Bryn could somehow tackle a troll by herself, but she's including him! She's including him! Maybe it's the magical effect of communicating with her over these things rather than face to face, but somehow Bryn is getting less terrifying and more likeable by the very second. ]
A-- Ah, yes, o.. of course! [ If you're so sure, why do you suddenly sound like you were stuck in dreamland for a second there, Inigo.. But she was including him..! ] We will be heralded as the heroes we are!
[ He pauses for a second before adding - while somehow sounding a bit more careful: ]
Thank you for coming along. I.. I really appreciate it. [ PLEASE DON'T RUIN THIS PEACE BRANCH BY BEING TERRIFYING AGAIN, BRYN. ]
no subject
[ This is probably the first time anyone on the train has seen Bryn look so genuinely caught off guard. She's not used to being thanked at all, let alone so earnestly, and it has her feeling a little embarrassed, which shows in the flush of red that colours her face a touch.
And then she laughs, and gives him a grin, maybe a little too enthusiastically to cover her embarrassment. ]
W–well, of course! I was hardly going to pass up on something that sounded so fun, was I?
no subject
Clearly their social link is ranking up here.]Yeah, but.. you know.
[ He lets that you know linger for a moment, as if she should figure out what he's trying to say.
But even Inigo realises it's a little unclear, so he manages to voice the words despite his shyness. ]
It's always more fun to do things.. with friends. Right?
[ Look Bryn, he's definitely willing to upgrade you to friend status now you're no longer some scary monster looming over his face. ]
no subject
[ If Bryn looked caught off guard a moment ago, then now she looks positively gobsmacked – but just for a second. She doesn't just recover this time but she amps all the way up to total delight. There's practically stars dancing in her eye and before Inigo has a chance to
escapeprotest, Bryn seizes his free hand in hers and elevates them both in the air, bouncing on her heels in excitement. ]Yes, yes! Of course, you're absolutely right! Adventures like these are so much more fun when you have them with friends!
no subject
Maybe he was just a little too harsh for her in his initial judgement, he thinks. But Inigo will make up for it! ]
Haha, well, you seem to be having fun already, judging by your.. [ ... ] .. everything!
[ Nailed it. ]
Come on, let's get going then. I wouldn't want to make you wait when you're this excited.
no subject
[ Bryn finally releases his poor hand and then charges on ahead a few steps, looking more than ready to charge off into the woods without a care – but then she skids to a halt and looks back at Inigo. ]
... where exactly is it we'll find these beasts, by the way?
no subject
[ If she was looking for a more specific answer than that.. Apparently one isn't coming, since Inigo says this with so much conviction that it sounds like that's all there is to it. ]
That's where you find more of the wildlife, after all. The villagers assured me that these woods are absolutely bursting with potential hunting prey! [ He smiles. ] Why are you asking, are you used to hunting in other sorts of places?
no subject
[ She gives him a proud little grin. ]
It just depends what you're hunting, really! If you want roc meat then the best place to hunt for them is near the cliffsides where they nest. Or if it's pooka meat that you're looking for, dusty, sandy planes are the best place to look, since they nest there so often. Or if you're really fancy and you want turul meat, then you'd need to be prepared to climb all the way up to the mountaintops for your chance!
[ She really hasn't learned yet how much of this just sounds like word salad, huh. ]
no subject
It's a good thing that Inigo has already had so much experience with people not recognizing very normal animals and yet talking about the weirdest beings that he's never even heard about. It makes this a lot less weird, and he quickly catches on to the fact that Bryn is just used to a slightly different world of wildlife than he is. ]
Hmm, sounds pretty good. [ Hence why it's so easy for him to respond naturally, not missing a beat. Instead just smiling. ] How about we start with something simple for today though? How does bear sound?
no subject
[ If you're concerned at how much that sounds like Bryn intends to wrestle a bear, then please continue to be concerned. ]
sounds like a good place to wrap it!
Great. [ STILL SMILING THOUGH. He's smiled through worse, bring it!! ] I'll be counting on you.
