Adventure On: Finale and Conclusion
Blue
The Mountain
Once they get close enough everything is storm, ice swirls around them, stabbing them like knives. Winds seem to be actively pushing them away, no matter what direction they approach from. Still the crystal wolves walk on, heads down, paws silent, climbing upwards.
The higher they climb the colder it becomes. So cold that ice forms on eyelashes, that air seems to freeze as it leaves their mouths. So cold their chests hurt. They would not be wrong to assume that the only reason they can withstand this at all is because of the SCA around their wrist.
Ice tumbles down around them often, shaking the ground. The crystal wolves know the way and they keep going, steady on the path. They have spaced themselves out, to be in sight of all those who follow.
The Summit
As they finally reach the top of the mountain they reach a calm space, outside of the swirling storm. Domed across the summit is a fire cage, larger by far than any they have seen before. In the middle of the giant fire cage sits a dragon. White and blue, scales that look as if they were made of ice themselves. Their head was bowed, eyes closed but they are breathing, breath escaping in clouds of freezing mist that evaporated in the heat of the cage.
Around the cage itself are ice elementals, outside the storm these can be seen by the snow they whirl around inside them, each is about three feet tall but fly in a whirlwind as they attack. Like those in the storm they try and push people around and attack with shards of ice. These corrupted spirits seem to have no reason to their attacks, they are just as likely to push a combatant closer to the cage then they are towards the raging storm.
They can be fought, fire works well against them just as ice and cold magic works well against the fire cage itself.
A Sovereign Freed
Eventually the cage stops fighting, fading away into the snow before them. The crystal wolves spring forth, nuzzling at the dragon until they raise their head. Piercing blue eyes look over the group and the dragon bows their head once. They take a deep breath and breathe out over those assembled, cold fire washes over them, healing any hurts that they have, easing their fatigue som
The crystal wolves bow their heads too, a thank you. Aerlie flaps their wings, rising high into the air. Another breath of cold fire flies out around the area, clashing with the storm for a moment before overtaking it. Around the mountain the storm calms, the ice elementals stop and seem to sink into the snow or fade into the air. The mountain descends into a calmness.
The crystal wolves will approach all those who helped free them, nuzzling into their hands, a personal thank you before a shimmering gate opens for the adventurers to step through.

Final Siege
It’s been a tiring three days of protecting the crystals from the creatures that sought their power. But now, as their power is fully recharged it is time to return them to the border. That is going to be a tougher job than getting them to the volcano’s heart in the first place!
They thrum with power and that power is a siren call to the creatures of the area, fire dogs, lizards, fire sprites. Just as the mountain attacked inside the heart, here the spirtes join with the rivers of lava to flood pathways, block routes, making it harder to cross already treacherous territory, or even driving them into traps of waiting fire dogs.
The heat is oppressive, heat from around them, heat from the crystals seems to sap the energy from those carrying them and so the duty is best shared.
Eventually though they arrive at the border, a mess of melted ice and frozen lava. Each of the crystals need to be replaced.
Restoring the Border
Replacing the crystals is a little more complicated than taking them was. Each one needs to fuse with the holder it sits in. It doesn’t take any skill, just someone to hold it in place for a moment whilst the two fuse together and the magic is channelled into the ground.
Holding a crystal in place is a little more difficult when being attacked by the creatures. The fire creatures keep up the attack until all of the crystals have been replaced.
The Land Repaired
When the last crystal is in place there is a ripple across the land. An invisible line, an ancient magic, connects the crystals, seperating the two lands. Ice recedes from lava and the melted snow refreezes. The borderlands of slush undergo transformation as the two elements separate from each other once more. A land of fire and a land of ice, with a pulsing magic separating the two.
The firedogs and lizards retreat, fire elementals calm and join with the lava streams once more. A shimmering gate opens.

An Important Message
The Huma birds have been carrying crystals and helping the harvesters, protecting them from the blighted birds and encouraging them to work hard.
But those returning to the floating islands on the afternoon of the eleventh day of Horseshoe come bearing black cloth bags in their talons, each has a scroll attached. The Huma birds will make it very clear they are to read the scroll first.
DO NOT OPEN THE BAG UNTIL NIGHT FALLS
Inside this bag are rare crystals. When they are exposed to the light of the sun they will cause the islands to sink back to the ground. After the sun has set tonight please distribute these evenly around the islands and then depart back down to the land below before sunrise. The lands natural magic will do the rest but we do not recommend being on the islands when they fall.
Thank you for your hard work.
The Adventurers Guild
With a long night ahead they may wish to rest for the remainder of the day.
Distributing the Crystals
If they do as they are asked then it will be a long night, there are many chunks of islands and a lot of crystals to distribute. The darkness makes it harder and the blighted birds seem even grumpier in the cover of darkness.
The wind sprites also are not resting and indeed seem delighted that playtime has been extended into the hours of night. Placing crystals is difficult when the Voidtreckers find themselves swept up into the air to dance around the trees.
Getting down by sunrise may be a little trickier than placing the crystals, especially if they have used up their flight potions, but hopefully there are enough people to help everyone get to safety.
Islands Fall
The sun rises, as the first rays of light hit the island they begin to vibrate, shudder. Then one by one they begin to fall, rapidly and chaotically. It is perhaps wise to not be anywhere near the crater as they do so.
They land in a crash of dust, which obscures the area. When the dust clears however they will see a perfect undamaged land. The pieces have fit back together, exactly where they should be, despite the chaos. The land is repaired and whole once more. Huma birds call excitedly as they dart through the air, their land restored.
A gate opens, for them to step through if they wish.
Purple
A Cure
It is day ten of Horseshoe when the first Huma birds fly into the village, they carry crystals either in bags in their talons or in their beaks.
The villagers clearly know what is going on for they welcome the birds and take the crystals thankfully. Anyone not currently fighting or purifying crystals is brought in to help distribute cures.
Actually curing someone is easy, it just requires the crystal to be touch an affected person or creature. The crystals are only good for one cure so those curing the blighted will be required to carry a few and run them to the villages.
Others can take crystals out into the woodland, looking for blighted animals to help.
A Final Fight
All but one of the golems have been found, defeated and restored. The final one has been elusive, not approaching the village or even the nearby woodlands.
The restored golems are back to standing vigil in each village, ready to deal with any attack that may occur.
But when an attack comes, it is not on a village, but on the shrine in the centre. A golem, three trolls and a host of animals, some blighted, some just angry. They attack in the early morning, the villages awoken by shouts and sounds of battle.
Luckily the blighted creatures can be healed, angry animals can perhaps be soothed. The trolls cannot be soothed though and will indeed try to rile up the animals again, to cause as much chaos as they can.
Peace Once More
Once the final golem is taken down, the crystal restored and the trolls defeated there is a quiet comes across the villages. Those who were blighted are cured, the golems are back in their place as guardians of the village and thanks to the adventurers the villages have gotten through this time with minimal damage.
The villagers thank the adventurers, tell them to come and visit whenever they are in the area. A gate opens, for any voidtreckers who wish to return to Royal Lake Hill.
Royal Lake Hill: All Teams!
They return to the tavern, each to the inn that they set off from. The town is a little busier now, more areas have recovered from the blight and it has brought more trade into the town. Everyone is still relatively elderly or young, non fighters. But the market is bustling, there is even a puppet show going on in the square.
Around midday a beeping of their SCA will show a dot on their map where the Voidtrecker Express has landed, not far out of town, and a message. You may remain here until sunset.
It is up to them whether they wish to return to the train or spend the rest of the day in the town. For those staying in town they will find word of their deeds have preceded them and they will find no end of young, wide eyed, budding adventurers ready to buy them a drink or two in exchange for stories.

With the mission wrapping up it was probably the last chance for them to look for parsnips as the optional quest, and Senku was definitely open to doing that, to pass the time between getting the bag. Thanks to his disagreement with the huma bird, he wouldn't do the tagging mission.
When the sun went down, he began spreading the crystals around as requested.
Then, he would definitely leave the island, he wasn't going down with the ground.
Royal Lake Hill
Senku could be found hitting the markets, eager to get the rest of the supplies he could want for the trip, and not wanting to have carried them that whole time.
He could also be talked into having a drink if someone wanted the company at the bar, nothing wrong with one at least. He wasn't a heavy drinker. Or, perhaps a meal.
He intended to spend all the time in town he could before they had to return to the train.

Xue Yang is growing tired of these fire dogs but they have been good to play with as far as testing his new skills. For now though he is focused on a couple of the boulders, laying out talisman barriers for anyone that is attempting to hold the crystals in place. It won't keep the creatures out for long but hopefully it is long enough to get the crystal to fuse with it's rock.
And while he keeps guard over those, he gets to play with his new swords. Having achieved what he needed to purchase them..two shiny new swords seem to glow red from the heat around them. Duel wielding them as easily as if they were only one sword. And then in a flash they seem to become one, bound together by a glowing thread by the hilts to create one long blade.
He takes on every creature that tries to get close to the crystals with a smirk on his lips, clearly enjoying this return to form.
Royal Lake
Xue Yang doesn't care much about having fans of his work standing over him and begging for stories. But he is accepting of the free drinks they are offering. So he compromises by showing them talisman tricks versus actually talking about the mission.
When he eventually grows bored of entertaining the villagers he starts to stroll through the town to determine if there is anything else he desires to spend his hard earned gold on.

It was a relief to come out of the storm into the relative calm of the summit. Less so to see what awaited them there. But ice elementals? Those he could handle easily.
While others dealt with freeing the trapped dragon, Lea engaged the icy spirits with Keyblade and fire magic. "Like toasting Icy Cubes in a barrel," he said with a bit of a grin as another one melted before his flames. Still, though there were a lot of them, and Lea was quickly becoming surrounded.
Royal Lake Hill- OTA
Back in town Lea was using his free time before sunset to do some shopping. He wanted to stock up on some fruits and veggies, as well as herbs and spices for the train's kitchens. A little harder to find were crafting supplies like string and paint, or a tool fine enough to poke a hole in seashells without destroying the shell. He also made a point to look around for unshaped metal and glass that he might be able to use as materials, but doubted he'd find any of that for a price he could afford.

Kaiba is having a Night. He's high up in one of the trees, desperately clinging to it as the wind sprites play around him. He throws a few little rocks with one hand, waits...and then begins to climb down the tree. Breathe, rinse, plant, repeat. Should anyone walk by at this point, he'll try to wave them away. He's fine, honest.
"Stay back. I've got this." Unfortunately for him, a gust hits and he's forced to cling harder.
royal lake hill
Kaiba returns to town with a few gold pieces in hand, searching for his allies. The group is noticeably smaller than it was when they arrived, and that has him worried.
"...how many did we lose?"
Sorry, but he's too distracted to participate in merriment at the moment.

Mami has finally reached this group, with Piccolo's help. She spends much of her time near Madoka, doing her best to keep her friend safe. But there's so much more to do as well!
She uses her magic yellow ribbons to help anchor the team in the middle of the storm, useful as climbing ropes. Should anyone falter, she'll offer them a ribbon to cling to. "It's all right."
Then comes the battle. Mami focuses her bullets on the ice elementals---it's not as effective as using fire, but she can make cracks. They'll rescue the dragon somehow!
back at royal lake hill
Immediately upon her return, Mami focuses on checking with the Red group. Did they make it without her? Are they all right? She's sorry she left in such a hurry.
But after the dust settles, she'll stop for a snack, looking half-asleep. Just let her rest on this stone stool until they go back to the train.

None of this had been strenuous work. It was just--work. Delicate and demanding and back bending work. Her eyes had started to cross by day three. Her back hurt, her hands cramped. Honestly, she had wanted to go fight something just for the change of pace. But--one last thing. And of course--of course it would require nightfall.
By midnight, Persephone is tired, grumpy, and tossing crystals down instead of carefully placing. The delicacy and thought of earlier that evening is gone. Dawn is still hours away.
"I'm not ungrateful that they found a way to put these islands back. But couldn't the birds have helped us distribute them?"
Back on the Train
It had been an exhausting night and only a more exhausting morning, making her way back to the train. Honestly, Persephone wants to climb into her bunk and fall straight asleep, but she has a few things in her pocket to bring back. It was a good thing that her outfit came with so many pockets and bags, who knew you needed so many?
Which means she has to make a stop over in the greenhouse. Persephone drops down on the edge of a plot that she's nominally decided is hers, based on the lack of anyone else planting something in it and pokes a few holes. Then she digs in the various bags, finds the right one, and sets a cutting in one and two seeds in another set. It's a moment's work to have flowers poking their heads up from the soil, curled up in tight buds.
But it's still a moment's work after an exhausting week. Persephone yawns, lays her head on her arm and falls asleep right then and there, tucked off the path.

Trunks Brief (Future)| OTA | Purple Team
Trunks thought he was used to fighting--and in a way he was. It was almost like attacks from the androids, but more condensed--and admittedly not as dangerous as they were, though still dangerous enough. Which meant that he, like others, was asleep when the attack on the shrine came.
Of course, he came awake quickly. Not a large group, but enough to be a pain. He really didn't want to hurt the animals, and the golem could do some damage, but the trolls were clearly the instigator. Probably overkill, but he's charging straight into the fray where the trolls are, sword flashing and looking to take them down.
Royal Lake Hill
Trunks understood now what Piccolo meant when he said it wasn't like what they faced. It both was, and wasn't, as dangerous in some ways, and there were more people to keep track of. He still had at least a little bit of shopping to do, however, before he returned to the train.

10 Vigilant Gaze was at 10/10 energy for the entire mission. He never slowed down, he never rested, he never stopped giving his all. A tireless stone warrior who never seemed to need to stop, and who was ALWAYS there for a helping hand or two (or even three or four!), and who was always there to fight off angry monsters. And good gods he can fight.
He might be kind of stuffy and condescending, he might be kind of stiff and formal, but it's undeniably useful to have him fighting on your side.
-Sparring-
AFTER all their duties were complete, Vigilant Gaze hunted down Piccolo and had a brief conversation with him before the two of them just marched off into the woods. An hour or two later, flashes of light started flickering across the horizon.
Anyone investigating would find the two going at it hammer and tongs. Their blows flashed by almost too fast to follow. Misses knocked over trees or left craters. Beams of light flashed through the air. Explosive impacts left ears ringing. Vigilant Gaze seemed to have a mild advantage in raw physical strength and expert technique, but Piccolo made up for it with speed and his ability to fly.
Try to stop them? Just sit back and enjoy the spectacle of it all? Take bets on who's gonna win?

Royal Lake Hill
Checking his SCA had revealed he'd missed the mission call, to put it lightly, and so with some exasperation he had busied himself looking after the various pets and plants on board.
Then the train had landed out of the fog in some form of stealth mode, and for what he could only describe as his own health he had left it in turn.
One can find a purple-cloaked figure wandering about town, taking in natives and the state of repairs from the blight in equal parts amusement and... disappointment?
To fellow Voidtreckers he will identify himself; natives will have to work harder to catch a glimpse of his screen - or indeed, any part of him. He would hate to be mistaken for a golem!

Alfredo, while not armed, is still trying to help to the best of his ability! He can be quite fast when he needs to, help play defense for those taking down sprites or the cage en masse, or help distract the sprites into fighting against their own cause.
A Sovereign Freed
Once the fighting is done, Alfredo has one question remaining - so while he accepts the nuzzles there is still a puzzled look upon his face.
He looks hesitant to just go through the portal; he may take some convincing, if only to get whatever it is off his chest!

Blue: The Mountain
There were a lot of creatures with the group, the crystal wolves, other creatures that had been freed from the traps. So it was maybe not surprising to see a kirin among the group. It looked almost like a horse, a steel black coat and mane, a horn protruding from its forehead. He stuck with the main group, as they climbed the mountain.
He could change back, now that the change had happened he knew he could transform with barely a thought. But he had lost his clothes and it was too cold to even contemplate changing back even if he found spares.
He sticks close to Gyousou, though he keeps an eye on Tidus as well and anyone else who is nearby. He's at least larger in this form and so makes a decent windblock.
As ice tumbles around him he turns his head to the nearest person. "Be careful!" Kirin mouths don't move like human ones, but they will hear the words out loud regardless.
Blue: Summit
No matter what form he is in Taiki cannot fight and so he is at the edges of the battle, worrying and feeling slightly ill. A battle is a battle even against a fire cage and it is not something he wishes to witness.
He is trying to be helpful though, he is light and it is very difficult to fly through the storm but when the ice elementals push people out he goes after them, he's large at least and easy to spot, midnight black in a world of white snow.
Royal Lake Town
He's mostly found a mismatch of clothes from spares they had packed that will do for the afternoon, until they return to the train at least. He is back in his human form as he wanders the markets and streets of the town.
He is primarily looking for Inigo, but that's not to say he won't stop if he sees anyone he knows, especially those from different teams who he hasn't seen in a few days.
"Hello... Are you alright?"

Tidus (Blue+OTA)
It's hard to see anything in this storm, and it's gotten to a point where Tidus isn't sure his magic can really do much to aid. But he tries anyway, offering to use barrier spells to surround and protect them of the winds and ice, some small means of keeping off the storm. Lea's fire may be more useful for keeping warm, the fire sprite with Galo too, and they may be able to work some of the available heat within the barriers.
summit; But it's tough to say how long his own spells will last, though he'll renew any waning spells no matter how it exhausts him, grimacing through the cold.
"Keep close!"
But finally, they make their way out of it. The freezing chill still clinging to them--or it is Tidus--but he doesn't care. Limbs stiff, he sees the cage and finds himself sick to the point of just wanting to tear it down. Good thing that's the point, really.
sovereign freed; He sprints through the weather, using magic to aid in being quicker than he should; using it as a means of escaping the ice sprites as best he can, while he tries to focus on the fire cage. Conjuring up large bubbling spheres of water that eat away at the flames when he can get the spells to go off.
"Get lost!" But the ice sprites are nuisances for a guy whose fire spells are weaker in comparison, slower to cast. He throws some out as he can as balls, but he's attempting to focus on the cage for a reason. Backup wouldn't hurt in the slightest.
He doesn't know what makes it come to a stop. It's cold on the ground--should be, anyway, but Tidus falls back onto his butt, sitting, dazed and the cold warmth keeping his body from feeling the chill. The contrast is almost startling--if Tidus could even comprehend it right now. Or wanted to.
royal lake hill;"Can't believe we made it..."
He doesn't have the energy to bask in the awe of those within the village, and luckily, not everyone is easy to tell as one of the grand heroes or however they're being heralded. The mission's been personally emotional draining, but a rollercoaster too. He's not completely sure what he wants to do, until he sees some faces he recognises.
wildcard; He wants to catch up, see how people are doing. So he approaches those he knows, asking with a tired tug of his mouth not entirely a smile, "How're you doing?", if they don't appear immediately occupied.
Other than that, he can be seen around with a...digital camera, is that? Taking snapshots of the town they're in, even in the adventurer's guild, to capture one of the large kingdom map. Though he doesn't appear to take any interest in any of the more pleasing-looking structures, taking a few snapshots of the other voidtrekeckers, particularly any weary groups.
And then later, he goes off, finding a place to himself up on the city wall. From a distance he seems to be writing inside the notebook issued to him by the train, using the quiet and privacy to concentrate. But the second he hears a sound, he snaps the book shut and looks up, letting out a sigh.
"Oh-- hey."
And for anything else, wildcard me up.

Yuri Tsukikage | OTA | Purple Team
While others might be busy with actions here or there, Cure Moonlight is zeroed right in on any forthcoming threats, and come they do. She's spent most of her time bouncing from golem to golem with a troll here or there, not really stopping to chit-chat very much, but is probably going to be very noticeable as she sends a fairly large, flower shaped burst of purifying energy traveling along the ground towards the hostile forces.
"Silver Forte Wave!"
Which if it connects, then good, but if it also serves to draw their attention, even better.
Royal Lake Hill
However, once all is said and done, Yuri will hang about the town until such time as they have to return. A social butterfly she is not, but she's not... entirely antisocial if anyone approaches. She spends a fair amount of time admiring things in the market, glad for at least a little time away from either fighting, or being stuck inside that train.

In some twisted, sick, sadomasochistic sort of way, Sonya was enjoying herself. Blocking out the pain and fatigue of several days in this pit, focusing on nothing but the mission and keeping her teammates alive.
'...Duty...mine's to finish the mission.'
For a moment, she couldn't move. Standing on an outcropping, getting the high ground against the enemy, she forced herself to the present; forced herself to focus only on the physical (not mental) discomfort. She couldn't let herself get dragged down by memories-she had a mission and a duty to perform.
She took hold of a large stone and tossed it at one of the wolves, smashing its head in. "Come on! You flaming bastards! Fresh meat right here!"
If she could draw their attention, the others would have a better chance getting the crystals in place.
[Royal Lake hill: OTA-tag Cassie]
She survived; part of her wanted to believe they all did, but she's too experienced to not put trust in anything except a headcount, but the crowd's too large and there are too many for her to get a good number. There was also the matter of the adrenaline of the past three days starting to wear off and she's suddenly aware of every joint and inch of her aching.
The inn is calling her like a siren. Pushing rank aside, she's always been a soldier, and right now, she needs a drink, a bath and sleep. Any one who comes up to her to cheer her on gets a weak attempt at a smile and a polite brush off. That it was a gathering point, she should get a good idea on numbers that way as well-two birds, one stone and all. After that, she could focus on herself-a bed, drink, and bath-perhaps not in that order, she wasn't sure.
Actually, no..first she needs to find her daughter, and then getting out of the leather armor.
She forces herself to check the crowds, looking around for Cassie-or anyone else she's somehow grown a friendship with.

Jessie had been knocked out of action early thanks to a very unplanned panic attack/claustophobia flare. But she is recovered and helped via gathering intel. Now however she's on a mission: tobacco restock! But she is a lot more social and can be talked into a drink.

Reno | FFVII | Purple Team + OTA
Whatever the mission is, we will always carry it out, that is our job.
Reno had said these words to his Turks once upon a long time ago when there had been more than just four of them left. They were the words he lived by. They were his motto, they kept him going. If he didn't think this simply he feared he would have given up already.
Today he leaned into that motto of live. He didn't want to be here. He didn't feel like fighting this fight that wasn't his. But he had no orders from Shinra, and no one else to lean back on. It was either give up altogether or go full force. And he didn't like quitters.
Reno zipped around the battlefield with his lightning rod in hand and a grim determination on his face. Electricity crackled all around him as he flashed from one opponent to the next. The small creatures were easy to take out.
Eventually though he made his way towards the larger enemies. The trolls and golem that caused so much destruction. He focused his attention on them and began his final attack.
II. Royal Lake Hill
Reno didn't stick around the crowds in the smaller villages for the gratitude party. He didn't feel like being thanked for anything and especially not for just doing what he did best: killing things. He wasn't in the mood for the frivolities and happiness and all that bullshit. He had done a job, it was over, and he just wanted to get the hell out of here.
He ended up back in Royal Lake Hill like everyone else, immediately leaving once he saw the opportunity. It was unfortunate that the magic led back to the place where they'd started all this; Reno still had some coin left and the tavern called to him. He ended up drinking again.
The SCA said they wouldn't be leaving for a while yet so why sulk on the train sober when he could sulk in the tavern while not sober? Yeah. Sounded like a plan to him.

Haibara doesn't mind helping complete the missions. If she's already here, and she is, then why not make sure everything gets done?
Unfortunately, fate has other plans. And by fate, we mean the wind sprites. They're delighting in figuring out that, if they can pick up a grown adult for a short period, they can pick up a child like Haibara for a much extended period. Her feet haven't touched the ground in minutes.
She's already run well past any initial shock by this point. Now she's simply unamused. She has her arms crosses, a scowl on her face.
"A little help?" It's phrased more like a demand than a plea, but she's been dealing with this for too long, please overlook that.
Royal Lake Hill
And once she's back in the city, she's back on high alert. She would not put it past Vermouth to use the crowd to take on a covert assassination attempt. Which is why Haibara herself seems to be trying to blend into the crowd or simply hole up somewhere where she can't be jumped.
But she does head out on several occasions - hitting up the blacksmith, the alchemist, and otherwise trying to stick with people she knows, or people who look like they won't be caught off guard.
Feel free to notice this girl looking way too paranoid, glancing about as she walks, or sticking close to any obviously-fighter-type people.

Closed to Roland + NPC...
So now, her work wrapped up (and a small amount of gold gathered that she knows not what to do with), she's looking for someone to ask questions - as well as someone to ask those questions with.
There's a scroll in one hand, one of those addressed from the Adventurer's Guild, and in the other is her Manual. Not a remarkable sight, all things considered, but perhaps a relief to those looking for her.

But at least Inigo has made a headstart on his round of apologies for his own behaviour during the mission. Sure, he was upset.. he still is upset, even now. But that's no excuse for acting out. He just needs to do what he always does. Swallow the hurt, try to deal with it by himself while trying to help out the people around him.
And there's one person he's looking for at the end of the day to apologize to. He's been trying his hardest to avoid Roland ever since the Reno fight. Sure, Inigo knows it wasn't really fair towards the other, but.. he just felt so guilty even thinking about Roland. Thinking about what Inigo dragged him into, just because he's such an idiot. Because he's weak.
It takes a while to find Roland though. Inigo expected him to be somewhere in the village, but after combing through the whole place, he still can't find the other guy. It's only when he leaves the village and looks outside of the walls that he finds Roland standing there, just a little distance away.
.. The thought of talking to Roland again feels more terrifying now he can actually see the other standing there, but Inigo knows he has to press on. This is no time for cowardice.
He balls his hands at his sides up into fists, digging his nails into the palm of his hands as he walks over.
".. Roland," he just simply says. Inigo doesn't look at him, instead staring down at his own shoes. But just the fact that he's out here seeking out Roland, when he clearly has been attempting to never be in the same place as the other for days now, stands out by itself.

With everything done, Zelda makes a quick dart to the nearby shops. She doesn't have money (for some reason, cutting grass and moving stones never seems to turn up any funds), but who knows? Perhaps she may be able to turn up some useful herbs, or a knife which might be of use. She misses Sheik's knives, even now.
Eventually, the noise calls her to the market square where the puppet show is already going on. She chooses a corner to listen into the play, watching both the show and the rejoicing townsfolk with a wistful expression on her face.

Curufin is still collecting crystals, and as he fills the last bag, he looks around for Huma birds to carry them. The birds that arrive are carrying a black bag, which they hand over to Curufin. Then they make gestures that indicate that he must read the paper scroll but leave alone whatever is in there. Luckily for Curufin, he learned some bird languages from his brother Celegorm, back in the day. The Huma birds don't speak Crow or Raven, but Curufin is used to interpreting the signs of birds. A little puzzled, he unrolls the scroll and reads it.
"Oh, it's from the Adventurers' Guild! It says not to open the bag until nightfall, distribute the crystals around the islands, and then get the hell off before sunrise." He looks up at the birds and smiles. "Okay, I guess we can do that."
Distributing the crystals:
After nightfall, Curufin hums as he works, scattering the crystals about the islands. He's long since gotten the knack of jumping from one island to another,
and he doesn't fall to his death TOO OFTEN, ROTFL. Those damn sprites make the best of their opportunities, sweeping him up into the air and kidnapping him to be their dance partner. He grins and plays along until he can find a way to escape.Falling islands:
Curufin finds a way to get back down to the ground, and just in time, too. He is looking up at the sky when the sun rises, and then he remembers he's not supposed to be anywhere near the crater when that happens. The first island starts to fall.
"Holy crap!" he exclaims, and runs like hell. Luckily, he has long legs and an amazing amount of energy and power, and so he just narrowly misses being clunked by a falling island. He scrambles away coughing from the dust and debris.
Royal Lake Hill:
Back to the tavern. He thinks about drinking himself under the table, but then he decides that wouldn't be such a good idea. He might miss the Voidtrecker's summons and end up embarrassingly in a suitcase in the luggage car.
So, off he goes to see the sights. He laughs uproariously at the puppet show, as that sort of humor is right up his alley.
His SCA beeps, shows him where the Voidtrecker is, and informs him that he can stay in town until sunset. He does stay, and it turns out that a group of those budding adventurers are eager to buy him a drink. So he goes with them and gets drunk. Finally, he staggers down the road to find the train.
