Conclusion
Thank you.
For those inside the system the voices of the Great-Seasons ring out around them once the red mass has vanished and the blue plinth it was smothering is freed once more. They don't have all that much time to reflect on that before they find themselves waking up once more in their bodies around the tree trunks.
Or at least, around the tube that is the Great-Season they entered through. All illusions have vanished now, all that is left are pipes and metal.
The Great-Seasons allow them passage out from the centre, no sentries or pipes attack them this time. Everything seems to have been put to rights, the walls in the Autumn sector have stopped moving, there is no strange weather effects in the Summer Sector, no engineering problems in Winter and all the camaloid creatures in Spring are calm. Any Helpmates they come across are doing their jobs and no longer malfunctioning.
After a small amount of time, enough to check that all is well, their SCA's light up. All Passengers are to return to the Voidtrecker Express.
Considering the vast distances involved it is probably best that they use the evacuation function to return to the Luggage carriage.
Once all Voidtreckers have returned the train returns to the Void once more.

"That whole thing was... insane. Did cleaning up those vine things... was it like an anti-virus or something? Causing all these issues?"
He's still completely lost, but it seems likely that most of their problems were technological in nature.

It was still near the top of his most bizarre experiences from here, honestly. He slowly pulls his pack on and looks around.
"One last sweep for damage?"
no subject
If it was just him, he could wave it off as SQUIP bullshit, but not everyone here has the experience with tech that he does.
"One last sweep sounds good!" If there's damage, there might be a Helpmate repairing it, and then Rich can finally ask some questions.
no subject
"As far as I can tell, it translated us into code with virus-neutralizing properties. I could speculate forever on how that works---but I'm just glad it's over, and we didn't get bodyjacked."
Always a concern when their minds leave their bodies.
no subject
"Ugh, god, I didn't even think about that. If my SQUIP had still been on, I don't know if I could have made it back in the right place." It probably would have taken his body for a joyride, maybe even escaped before Rich could get back from that data world.
...And yet he was still considering if it would be safe to reactivate it again. He's a moron.

Seto's serious about that. The last thing they need is to get into another existential crisis. He wrings out his clothes as best he can (taking a dip before the tree assault hadn't been fun) and starts toward the standing sectors.
"Remind me to pack dry clothes in waterproof bags next time?"
no subject
Rich could have gotten pretty morbid if he continued down that line, so it's best for him not to. Instead, he starts walking along, wincing at Seto's next comment.
"You get drenched too? There was a lot of flooding around. We all could have done with some more waterproof equipment."
no subject
He tries to rub warmth back into his fingers. "But I'd settle for a fire right about now. Maybe after the sweep until we're called back---I wonder if it's part memory from having the ice powers too, this cold."
no subject
Rich would prefer some warm water over afire, but that's just him. "Yeah, those powers were really weird. I'm guessing they sort of corresponded to the team? Since we're on the same team, and it seemed like most of us got something related to ice and freezing."
no subject
It's a largely uneventful walk, and soon enough he's scoping out places to start a fire. He's decent enough at getting it going, and soon he's heating up what remains of his rations.
"Any interest in avocado soup?"
no subject
He sits down with a sigh, smiling at the warmth of the fire. "Finally, some delicious fucking food." Rich, you can't make that joke. "I could always go for some soup."
