Conclusion
Thank you.
For those inside the system the voices of the Great-Seasons ring out around them once the red mass has vanished and the blue plinth it was smothering is freed once more. They don't have all that much time to reflect on that before they find themselves waking up once more in their bodies around the tree trunks.
Or at least, around the tube that is the Great-Season they entered through. All illusions have vanished now, all that is left are pipes and metal.
The Great-Seasons allow them passage out from the centre, no sentries or pipes attack them this time. Everything seems to have been put to rights, the walls in the Autumn sector have stopped moving, there is no strange weather effects in the Summer Sector, no engineering problems in Winter and all the camaloid creatures in Spring are calm. Any Helpmates they come across are doing their jobs and no longer malfunctioning.
After a small amount of time, enough to check that all is well, their SCA's light up. All Passengers are to return to the Voidtrecker Express.
Considering the vast distances involved it is probably best that they use the evacuation function to return to the Luggage carriage.
Once all Voidtreckers have returned the train returns to the Void once more.

Once Otoha uses the quick escape, he glances down at the burns and other wounds that he sustained from the creatures in the trees as well as the bruises from the Helpmates. He doesn't want to deal with anyone fussing over him, so he quickly starts moving from the luggage car up towards the sleeper carriages. He needs to process, and he needs to bandage his wounds in silence.
planting a seed
Once he's cleaned up, Otoha goes to the Greenhouse and starts to sort through the seeds. He's curious as to what sort of options he has for flowers... and he's not sure which one would be most appropriate for this situation. It'll take him a bit of time to figure it out.
soak it in
Otoha has been in many an onsen, and while this isn't quite the same it's close enough. He slips in when he doesn't see anyone using the area and sets his clothes to the side, grabbing a towel and a pair of swim trunks. He doesn't put either of them on, but instead slips into the pool naked. He keeps the trunks nearby in case anyone has an issue with it - he's aware there's plenty of people who aren't Japanese on the train.
Still, it's nice to relax. Even if he can't feel pain he can feel his muscles untensing in the warm water.
Wildcard
[Something else?]
there is no escape
But he eventually makes it back, leaving the crush of the luggage car and heading further out into the train. His next job is to take care of his friends on other teams, and - well, if he's going to be honest about it, he's worried about Otoha. He knows Otoha is injured - he'd said so himself - and he'll probably make himself difficult to find as a result.
Fortunately, someone else is much closer, he realizes as his Sense folds in on itself, protecting itself from a divine presence.
Ah.
"Thanatos? Do you have a minute?"

And here he is now. Unlike Otoha, he does change into a pair of swim trunks. If nothing else, it gives him a waistband to stick the rolled up sutra into, letting it sit at his hip. Everything else has vanished into the arms band high up on one bicep.
The priest steps down into the pool opposite Otoha, and sinks in with a relieved shudder.

He does opt for trunks when he changes, each item removed revealing more ink. His tattoos are on full display as sits on the edge of the pool and puts just his legs in.

Senku Ishigami | OTA
After the experince in the presumably digital world, Senku found himself lying in a heap at the base of what had been the tree.
He blinked a few times, confused, and sat upright. "Well." He paused. "Survived that."
It had definitely been interesting and he didn't know what to think of it.
Hitting the evac button
The message coming when they're so far means that there was no way he could make it back to the train in any short order.
He tapped the evacuation button without complaint and found himself in the luggage car and caught beneath someone else.
"Ack! Get off!" He complained reflexively.
Back on board
He was definitely getting a nice hot shower, first of all and when he was dressed again and walking along towards the library his hair was down in his face on his shoulders. He pushed it out of his eyes, he was going to have to cut it soon. He situated himself at a table and leaned back in his chair, thinking. It was a quiet enough place to think and reflect on the mission. While his hair was wet it'd stay down, but it would spring back up once it dried.
back on board
And it isn't too hard finding Senku just sitting around. It doesn't look like the other is doing anything, so Inigo figures it should be more than okay to just walk up to him and grab a seat and sit down at the table Senku is sitting at. He'll keep his voice down, since they're in the library and Inigo does have some manners, but he does speak up--
"Senku, hey." The other looks like he's doing okay enough, so Inigo at least won't waste time on asking anything else, and just gets to the point. "I did what you asked me to."

mami tomoe | purple (mind the content warnings second prompt!)
The end of the mission had been a little chaotic, but that was okay! There didn't seem to be quite as many injuries as usual, and Mami was grateful for that. Still, she'd position herself in triage to watch the people passing through with a gentle smile, keeping a sharp eye out for any limps or winces.
"If anyone's hurt, I can help! It won't drain me, I'll be all right---please, I want to see everyone well and strong!"
in the dark (cw: issues of identity/death/madoka series spoilers)
One encounter on the mission had somewhat darkened Mami's outlook. When the rush of debriefing and healing faded, doubt began to creep into her mind. Could it be true? Could Kyubey have hidden something like that from her?
She tucked her legs beneath her and sat near the berry patch in the green house, cradling the glowing yellow egg-shaped gem in her hand. Rosetta sat on her wrist, the small green hedgehog sniffing worriedly at it.
"That...can't be right, can it?"
But it would explain a few odd things...she bites her lip, worriedly.
in the dark
That can't be good.
But maybe she's just overreacting. Maybe Mami is just thinking about something else, and is happening to look at her Soul Gem as she's thinking about it. Madoka nods to herself-- right. Madoka is just overthinking this, clearly!
So she slowly approaches the other girl with a smile, like nothing is up.
"Mami-san," Madoka gently says, trying to pull her attention. "How are you?"

Yoite | OTA
He returned to reality and found himself staring at a different place. The whole battle had been confusing to him, but he didn't say anything about it.
Yoite glanced around briefly, to keep an eye out for who else was around before padding his way out back towards the train.
When it came time and his SCA vibrated to catch his attention, he used the evacuation button.
On the train
This was the second mission that had gone horribly. Yoite hadn't realized how much he'd been relying on Miharu in the last of the time he'd been at home.
This wasn't the same kind of disaster as last time, and his combat had gone better, he'd been better prepared, but it had been pointed out to him that he was functionally a problem.
Yoite shouldn't be surprised, but at least he had his combat going for him. If he didn't have that then...?
He padded down the hall to find somewhere to hide away and think. He didn't tend to go for quiet rooms, he just found corners to sit in and he situated himself in the dining room at the table. Come on Yoite, think. If he couldn't overcome this, then what?

Persephone | OTA
You know the best way to ignore that you hurt your leg? Float everywhere. After all, it's going to heal soon anyways and she's immortal. It all scabbed over in the time in the vr tree thing anyways. She pops back in to the train and changes into her pajama pants.
This ends with her floating through the train, vaguely towards the kitchen, backpack still slung over her shoulder, asking at random:
"Do you have a sewing kit?"
B. Around the Train
Much later, she ends up in the space between the garden and greenhouse, poking at the train shop, clearly trying to decide if she has enough points for--something.
Then, in the greenhouse, she does her usual post mission lookover of the plants, poking at things, bringing some to fruit, some to flower, some she just waters. For all her magical powers, sometimes you do need to water a plant. It's soothing, going from one to another, gentle and easy. It's easy to sneak up on her, even if you're not even trying to.

Good thing she's small, so that when she ends up in the luggage car she can just squeeze against the side and start shimmying past people. "Excuse me. Sorry, didn't mean to-"
no subject
Which means there are now two tiny people with the same problem over in the luggage carriage. It doesn't help that apparently proximity in the mission world doesn't translate to proximity when you're back on the train, which means Madoka is frantically looking for the other girl between the group of people gathered in the carriage.
So the moment she actually spots the other trying to squeeze through a spot nearby her, she suddenly latches onto Ple Two's hand.
"There you are..! Thank god.." For a moment she was worried maybe one of them hadn't made it back!

The ending of that battle was...anti-climactic, if anything. There's a sudden jolt, and then Kaiba finds himself on a metal platform, cheek pressed into the cold steel. This place isn't familiar.
But are they awake? He waves his wrist and tries to summon an ice shard---nothing. He looks then for familiar faces, pausing to rub feeling back into his legs.
"We're out...?"
hitting the gym
After a shower and a proper meal, Kaiba's next destination is the training gym. He really needs to order some training clothes, come to think of it...but with his supply of clean shirts low, he decides to go without. It's fine, it's not likely anyone else will immediately train after an exhausting week.
The first priority is improving his reaction time and situational awareness. He's set up an obstacle course for himself leading to the climbing frame, a water bottle, a laptop...and his little apple lizard, Snapper, is curled up atop the laptop for warmth. Good thing she's not blocking the camera.
"Hit record! The big round one!"
Snapper, being a very smart girl, does her trick! He tosses her a berry and starts the race, intent on running it over and over until he gets the best time.
gYM
In any case, he's going around the usual rounds of poking around the place, which includes hitting the gym. ...Training car.
Whatever it i-
"Oh shit it's like a frog..." What a cute... ...He doesn't know. What is that. It looks nothing like a normal applin...

Bucky/Soldat | Guest on Red team
Everyone wakes up. Everyone wakes up. Thank fuck for that. Soldat puts their knives away and comes to help the members of the red team up, if they need it (after sitting stationary for however long that was; at least a day or two). To offer food and drink, the last of the supply they carefully rationed. To ask, "How'd it go in there?"
Then it's time to head back to the train. Soldat is relieved to head back: it's a trek, and they're tired, but it's safe now. Proof that whatever happened in there, it worked. They pause at the flash on the SCA, but they don't actually know it means "get back ASAP" so they just keep trotting along.
They're a little confused when other people start disappearing around them, though.
II. Recovery
Soldat knows how post-mission recovery works. Because they know they don't sleep on missions, and only eat pretty minimally to ration food. So when they crash for most of the day after getting back and getting cleaned up, they're not surprised. They expected it, even planned for it. There's a full day of not having the brain-power to do more than sleep and eat, and then another day after that of being slower than usual, before they're back to normal.
Spot Soldat drifting sleepily into the kitchen car to scrape together a sandwich while looking like they're going to nod off right at the counter, or curled up on a seat in the standard car dozing, or blinking in good-natured weariness at everyone passing by while sitting in the "sun" in the garden car. "It's not quite the same as the real sun, is it," they say more than ask, maybe a little sadly, when approached in the last place.
III. Rocky Routine
And then it's back to work. Attempting to build a new routine in this new place, though it's a rocky start. When they're not in the kitchen or the gym, Soldat spends a lot of time pacing the length of the train, trying to decide what they should be doing with their time. It's not quite a patrol, but it's not... not a patrol, either, really.
Someone coming to join them in their pacing might catch them chewing on something on a chain around their neck, pulled out with some embarrassment when they get addressed.
III Gym
He'd always done his best thinking this way.
At the sound of a footstep entering the room, he quickly catches the ball coming off the wall in a rebound and traps it under his foot.
"I'm not bothering you, am I?"

Thanatos | Red
Return & Train
Everything comes back at once, and Thanatos has never been so relieved to feel the overwhelming presence of the surface. He'll stay long enough to make sure he's not needed, and then once the Red Team leaves, he's shifting himself back to the train. He is done with this location.Thanatos can be found in the quiet coach's upstairs booth with greater periwinkle growing over the light and window. Observant passengers will also see a temporary "Do not disturb. Death and Darkness inside" sign made out of a torn notebook page on the booth's door. Thanatos writes in his notebook despite the dark. He's already written quite a bit....
He can also be found in the garden or greenhouse, hovering off to the side and focused on the water or the plants. His thoughts are clearly elsewhere.
Hot cocoa talks: Closed to Persephone & Ryo: Hades Game win #1 spoilers later in thread
Thanatos knew that he wouldn't be able to hide from Ryo's questions or Persephone's worries for long. He messed up on the mission. He's been messing up ever since he was captured and trapped by the train. How could he ever expect anything different given how he's failing his world every second that passes? How he's failing him? It's been two weeks since death ceased to be back home.Death Incarnate doesn't know what to do. Bitterly, he wonders if he's as independent as Mother Nyx thought him to be. He doesn't like figuring out how to put to words the storm of thoughts in his head. But what's worse... Thanatos feels (Blood and Darkness, why does he have to feel things?) like he wants those two to pry.
He needs help. He doesn't know how to ask.
Cocoa Time
Thanatos isn't in his room next door. And after what had happened on the mission...
It doesn't take long for Ryo to pull his hoodie on and head for the halls. He heads up the train towards the kitchen - hot cocoa is nice on nights like this, and he should run into Thanatos on the way. After a while, he feels his Sense start to fold, but...it's not who he expects.
"Persephone? Are you doing okay?"

Nita OTAs
Tie A Yellow Ribbon... (Orange Team)
Those finding themselves awake by the Great-Winter's pillar will once again find Nita trying to 'listen' to it.
She nods once, twice, and pulls away reluctantly, a flummoxed expression on her face.
"Guess we're not needed to fix things here any longer," she'll say. She doesn't sound entirely relieved.
One if By Land, Two if By - wait, There Are No Seas Here! (OTA)
Nita, with not much better to do until everyone has cleaned up and evacuated, goes for a teleport/airstep 'flight' - as far around the dome as she can manage, which is considerable when she doesn't have to spare energy to fix things!
Contact her by comm, or arrange your own transport and travel with her awhile; she'll appreciate the conversation, if not just the company.
On The Road Again (Train OTA + Poke-prompt for Jonouchi's crew)
People can find Nita (once she's out of the shower and in a clean change of clothes) in the Standard carriage, filling out a post-mortem on the mission itself, as well as the vision she experienced.
Buuuut if someone wants to snuggle instead, that's an option too!
on the road again
Apparently as soon as he's able to do so - considering he does look like he just his turn in the shower, Inigo's hair still a little damp and hanging down a bit more than usually. But he really didn't want to wait before starting to check up on his friends after the mission. And Nita is certainly on that list, considering she actually said she missed him.
Hopefully she's not too concentrated on that report and can actually hear Inigo's footsteps approaching - otherwise she may be a little surprised to suddenly find herself getting hugged from behind, a chin leaning on her shoulder.
"Writing already?"

Rich Goranski | Be More Chill | OTA
Rich wakes with a yell in the real world again, sitting bolt upright before grabbing at his head. Dizziness comes in waves, and his head is throbbing... probably something to do with the SQUIP reacting to that weird network connection... or whatever it was.
He tries his best to shake it off, and eventually staggers back up to his feet. To anyone who may be nearby, he offers a little grin.
"Hey, don't worry about me. Just going to check something out. I've survived my first real mission, so that's a 100% success rate, right?"
He doesn't need to go far, anyways. He just cautiously approaches one of the Helpmates that's no longer glitching to give them a stern look.
"Hey. Are there actual humans here? Seems like this is a pretty big place, but I haven't seen another person anywhere."
Escape
The ping to Rich's SCA gets answered pretty quickly. He doesn't want to linger too long around the Helpmates, so long as there's nothing else to do.
He pops into the Luggage carriage without much trouble, just a bit of disorientation... but the fog in his head isn't going away, after a while of sitting. Actually, he's starting to sniffle too... and sneeze. He looks down, noting his still soaked outfit, and swears.
"Damnit... Trunks tried to warn you, idiot."
After grabbing a quick change of clothes from laundry, he'll huddle in the med bay to ride it out, with some minor whining. It's the first time he's been sick for two years. When an AI monitors your immune system, you start to forget what a head cold feels like.
Escape
Hm.
A little bit later Otoha knocks on the door. There’s the faint sound of clinking as he shifts. “It’s Otoha. Can I come in?”

Koumyou Sanzo | Saiyuki | OTA
When everyone gets the ping to head back, Koumyou makes sure everyone near him knows how the evacuation function works on their SCA, and then uses his.
Along with most of the train.
In the one luggage car.
At the same time.
Did you know that Koumyou is mostly all sharp bones under his robes? Do you know how pointy his elbows are?
You might now!
"...Oops."
🌙 SPA
As with the end of the last mission, Koumyou has showered and then almost immediately headed for the spa car. He can be found chin-deep in the heated pool. The ends of his long bangs float on the water's surface around his face, and his eyes are closed against the steam.
But if anyone joins him, the priest cracks one eye open just enough to see who it is.

And cue Thea almost crashing into Koumyou with quiver in hand. "Sorry! The landings never get easier." as a few arrows go flying mid tumble.

Cassie Cage | OTA
Cassie's patient. You don't survive in the Special Forces unless you learn discipline. So she'll be one of the last people to evacuate to the luggage car. Until then she'll be making sure the coast is clear, that her loved ones are okay, and above all else trying to make sure that Team Purple paces themselves teleporting back to the car.
She certainly isn't the type to find it exciting, though. Maybe you could spice things up with a little conversation?
Onboard
This mission wasn't as hard as the last one. It was, however, almost inarguably more annoying. So she'll be looking for avenues to unwind as soon as she gets back on board. As well as looking for a certain someone she hasn't seen in the flesh for a few days.
Trunks should find her right away, of course. But anyone else can find her in the spa or gym.
