The Will to Fight: Conclusion
The battles rage loud and ferocious at the gates of the city and off in the ruined wastelands of Erda, and on the walls a struggle of a different kind occurs. The team who stayed behind at the towers are small but determined as they move stoically across the walls to right the stones that have become misaligned, even as their friends battle not too far away.
The city begins to hum. It's a quiet hum, not loud enough to be heard out where the others are fighting but it vibrates even through stone. The recovering monks assure them that it is done, the wards are back up and no demon will be able to enter the city.
Eventually the battle is won, all three battles. The demons fought back and killed, a major blow to their gate system that will keep them back for hopefully a long time. Those waiting in the caverns return to the city and by the time they get there the illusions are gone. Everyone can see the world for what it really is.
But despite the ruins of their world the people are relieved, the adrenaline of the fight coursing through their veins and the mood is one of hope. They will build again, their people will survive.
All Voidtreckers please return to the Voidtrecker Express. Departure will be in a few hours
It has landed not too far from the city, cloaked to make it unnoticeable to the citizens, for all the good that does. No one has been particularly subtle this last week. People can begin regrouping, packing up the camp and getting any wounded not already healed to the train.
However roughly half an hour later another message appears on their SCA.
Passenger Persephone has requested we remain on system System #86525656412355 for an additional day to further assist the people of Erda. The Voidtrecker Express will depart on the morning of Day Fifteen of the month of Kazoo.
The train remains where it is, so the voidtreckers can use its facilities. There is definitely a lot that can be done to assist those of this world and the citizens will welcome any helping hands.
After an extra day they finally depart, returning to the void once more.
(OOC Note: Once the wards are up any characters who are demonic in nature will not be able to enter the city either!)

"I had no idea." He still offered a smile though. "I don't think it's gross though."
He kind of thought Casper was cute in general, but he was not going to entertain that, thinking his friends were hot was a recipe for him being a disaster. He should know.

He closed his eyes, trying to push the images of Home out of his mind. "My friends are fine with it. But I've been places where something like is... not treated well."

He sighed and let himself slide a bit into the water. "Nevermind. I know people are..." He frowned a bit. "They get ideas in their head and they're just wrong, you know?"

He sighed and dunked his head for a moment, wet hair sticking to his face. "Sorry. Didn't mean to turn this place into a depression zone."

"I know all about people being dumb. I was adopted, so I don't really know much about where I came from but it was from Niflheim." He knew that much. "That doesn't exactly...go well in Lucis sometimes. I'm fine!" He said quickly. "But you know, not everyone's...happy about them. I mean, I know I'm not."

"They're our enemy...and look, Noct's never cared right?" He never cared where Noctis came from either. It didn't matter to his friends. He didn't let it bother him. "I am a Lucian citizen."

"... And I honestly identify more with the country and city I grew up in than where my parents are from, god or no god. At least in terms of culture." Obviously it was different when he was talking about magic powers or whatever.

"Uh, well I have adoptive parents. They're Lucian. I did anyway. We don't talk anymore because I'm older than eighteen." Prompto said with a bit of a glance to the side. "I don't know much what they thought about anything, or culture or stuff. They worked in Accordo. They must've liked it there."

There...might be a story there...

"All I did was drive it! The fact it ran out gas and we had to push it for like three miles is totally not my fault!" He protested.

"Oh no, poor Noct." Prompto said, a bit surprised.

"So you know those toxic whips the big demons had? He got hit by something like that. ... A bunch of us did. Except you couldn't just use a poison curing skill or item on it - it was cursed to keep hurting until the curse was lifted. We got it lifted at the end of the mission but that was about three weeks of pain. ... That's when I figured out how to turn off my pain response. Still had to lie low for the rest of the mission."
no subject
"Wow. That's really terrible for everyone." Prompto frowned a little bit. "Not just Noct, I mean...that sounds really uncomfortable. I'm glad you're not suffering like that now. I wouldn't want that to happen to anyone!"
