The Will to Fight: Conclusion

The battles rage loud and ferocious at the gates of the city and off in the ruined wastelands of Erda, and on the walls a struggle of a different kind occurs. The team who stayed behind at the towers are small but determined as they move stoically across the walls to right the stones that have become misaligned, even as their friends battle not too far away.

The city begins to hum. It's a quiet hum, not loud enough to be heard out where the others are fighting but it vibrates even through stone. The recovering monks assure them that it is done, the wards are back up and no demon will be able to enter the city.

Eventually the battle is won, all three battles. The demons fought back and killed, a major blow to their gate system that will keep them back for hopefully a long time. Those waiting in the caverns return to the city and by the time they get there the illusions are gone. Everyone can see the world for what it really is.

But despite the ruins of their world the people are relieved, the adrenaline of the fight coursing through their veins and the mood is one of hope. They will build again, their people will survive.

It has landed not too far from the city, cloaked to make it unnoticeable to the citizens, for all the good that does. No one has been particularly subtle this last week. People can begin regrouping, packing up the camp and getting any wounded not already healed to the train.

However roughly half an hour later another message appears on their SCA.

Passenger Persephone has requested we remain on system System #86525656412355 for an additional day to further assist the people of Erda. The Voidtrecker Express will depart on the morning of Day Fifteen of the month of Kazoo.

The train remains where it is, so the voidtreckers can use its facilities. There is definitely a lot that can be done to assist those of this world and the citizens will welcome any helping hands.

After an extra day they finally depart, returning to the void once more.

(OOC Note: Once the wards are up any characters who are demonic in nature will not be able to enter the city either!)

"Yes, but considering a lot of us might not go onto the train until the next day a lot might not bother resting up." Which he would rather avoid considering people are already quite tired, he didn't want them to get worse.

"Yeah, I guess. I want to help as much as I can anyway." Prompto decided. "Even if I'm a little tired."

Or a lot tired, but he meant well.

"Same here, though I'm not sure where I can actually be of help. I guess i can help with the building of things... Maybe." Not like he had experience in rebuilding, but he could at least use a hammer.

"Might be easier to stick to more basic repairs and not like, rebuilding a house. But I bet we can fix that roof." Prompto pointed. "I've had to patch up all kinds of things around my place at one time or another."

"What did you do around your place that required it to be fixed now and again?" What could cause that to happen either way. But fixing stuff was something that he could at least try to do either way.

First things first, maybe find a hammer and some nails, which shoudln't be too hard.

"Nothing really I did, but I lived alone so you know, something goes wrong it's cheaper to fix it yourself." Prompto said with a smile.

"It's not like I broke things on purpose, if I did that my parents would probably be pretty mad."

"It is. But I think there are certain things it's better to be fixed by an expert. Like anything electrical." Because he wouldn't want to mess up and get electric shock personally. That is not fun.

"I mean, sure." Prompto said with a bit of a smile. "I can do some basic stuff, I mean, it's not like I had money to get someone to come in and fix it."

"I hope you didn't get hurt though trying, or too hurt anyway." Good that he at least figured to try, but still mistakes happen and he hoped they were never too serious.

"Nah I've been pretty lucky and it turns out I'm pretty handy with tech stuff. I maintain all my own machines really." Prompto grinned. "Some of the weapons I use are unfamiliar tech and we can't always go see Cid."

"So you just have that natural talent then?" Just like how Yugi just has a natural talent when it comes to various games. Being able to learn and quickly understand the game that he is playing. Does it mean he wins all the time? No. Just is good at learning how to play.
