The Will to Fight: Conclusion
The battles rage loud and ferocious at the gates of the city and off in the ruined wastelands of Erda, and on the walls a struggle of a different kind occurs. The team who stayed behind at the towers are small but determined as they move stoically across the walls to right the stones that have become misaligned, even as their friends battle not too far away.
The city begins to hum. It's a quiet hum, not loud enough to be heard out where the others are fighting but it vibrates even through stone. The recovering monks assure them that it is done, the wards are back up and no demon will be able to enter the city.
Eventually the battle is won, all three battles. The demons fought back and killed, a major blow to their gate system that will keep them back for hopefully a long time. Those waiting in the caverns return to the city and by the time they get there the illusions are gone. Everyone can see the world for what it really is.
But despite the ruins of their world the people are relieved, the adrenaline of the fight coursing through their veins and the mood is one of hope. They will build again, their people will survive.
All Voidtreckers please return to the Voidtrecker Express. Departure will be in a few hours
It has landed not too far from the city, cloaked to make it unnoticeable to the citizens, for all the good that does. No one has been particularly subtle this last week. People can begin regrouping, packing up the camp and getting any wounded not already healed to the train.
However roughly half an hour later another message appears on their SCA.
Passenger Persephone has requested we remain on system System #86525656412355 for an additional day to further assist the people of Erda. The Voidtrecker Express will depart on the morning of Day Fifteen of the month of Kazoo.
The train remains where it is, so the voidtreckers can use its facilities. There is definitely a lot that can be done to assist those of this world and the citizens will welcome any helping hands.
After an extra day they finally depart, returning to the void once more.
(OOC Note: Once the wards are up any characters who are demonic in nature will not be able to enter the city either!)

[ Clearly Asriel is just getting more and more amazing by the minute. But healing magic is always something Madoka is particularly amazed by. People having the ability to heal others is just such a great and sweet thing..
She glances at the kids, but it seems like they've gotten their fill of entertainment for now. They all stand up, starting to imitate what Asriel was doing, play acting that they've also got magic and are shooting it.
So Madoka turns back to the other instead. ]
Do you just.. um, shoot that at people..? To heal them?
no subject
[Like, if the point is healing. Throwing in some green magic in a fight just makes stuff more interesting!]
It can't heal everything right away, and I think it works better on monsters than humans. But it definitely works on humans too! It's just because we're made out of magic.

If you can do amazing things like that, then.. being a monster sounds pretty nice.
[ The kids seem to enjoy Asriel's monster abilities, anyway. ]
no subject
[Like, it's weird to get into it, but. Pretty much anyone here could kill him instantly if they wanted, so.]
no subject
So you don't like being one..?
[ Or what other reason is there to make him have that reaction? Maybe it has to do with that whole soul thing he told her about? ]
no subject
[Like, it's way better than the alternative? Unless the alternative is "human", but Asriel doesn't really know that he wants to be one of those.]
But humans hate monsters. They trapped us underground for, like, a thousand years or something. Everyone just got out, but...well, hopefully they'll be okay up there.

[ At the very least, Madoka hasn't heard any of their fellow passengers throw a stink about it - but then again, it's not like they're all human to begin with.
But the kids here don't seem all that weirded out by him either.. Maybe it's since they've seen a lot the last few days all of a sudden? ]
In that case.. I'm sorry, that the humans in your world happened to be so rude to all of you.. But I don't think there's a reason to hate you, or even just dislike you, just because you're a monster.
no subject
[Like, this is fine for him, but it matters a lot more what happens to everybody else. There's not much he can do about it, though. That's in Frisk's hands. Hopefully they can at least still reload if things go bad...?]

And it does seem to have quite an effect on Madoka. After all, talk of killing isn't normal to her, and so she goes entirely quiet. What do you even say to that? Nothing feels like it's adequate in the face of such a heavy statement, and it's not like she wants to straight up ignore it either.
So after a moment she just speaks up with a quiet: ]
.. I'm sorry..
no subject
No, it's fine! I'm sorry - I mean, they've got Frisk with them, and Frisk's a human! It'll probably be okay.
no subject
[ It still sounds really dangerous, for one. And she doesn't think they should have to be in trouble like that in the first place. Sure, if they were mean monsters who attacked people, it'd be a different story.
But if Asriel is anything to go by, these monsters are nice. Why would people want to hurt them? It's unfair.
So Madoka still looks a little sad, though she does at least manage to say: ]
.. I hope they'll be okay. So you can go back home to them safely too..
no subject
Yeah, hopefully!
