So Familiar a Gleam: Diagnet!

This post are for network posts using the phones that all citizens of Diagad own. The phone connects to the internet- which is mostly full of the latest heroics of the city, warnings from the government and plenty of cat videos.

There is a popular forum space for the city where people can post in text, video or voice notes. There is also a phone book that lists everyone in the city for direct messaging.

[ O-oh no, compliments from his kind-of-big brother.. In public.. At least his one saving grace is that people can't see the expression on his face when he writes a reply in return. ]

It's just because of all of the times you came along with me to wach me practice, you know!

I think it's more to do with your talent.

[What's a big brother for if not to make his younger brother perish from being over complemented.

I mean, I'm practicing a lot, so I like to think the results of that show a little! But if I had some sort of huge god-given talent, then I probably would have been scouted when I was seven or something. Like all those famous dancers.

Maybe, but there's lots of people and their eyes can't be everywhere. [Just bad luck, he won't believe it is by any lack of talent.]

They will know what they are missing, when you find your break.

I guess I should think about what I want to do if this whole dance thing ends up not working out. Just in case.

It's never bad to be prepared even if I am completely sure this will work out!

But if it doesn't you can just do one of the other things you are great at.

Oh hush!! You're biased!!

[ Because of course Taiki of all people is going to think that there are plenty of things Inigo is good at. He's already too nice for this world in general, and Inigo even gets a bit extra of the nice treatment considering Taiki is his big bro.. ]

I'm not even sure what I'm good enough at otherwise to actually do something with it in my life.

It's my job to be biased. [At least he admits it, though he frowns at his phone a moment later.

It's also his job to make sure his brother doesn't fall into these spirals.]

Are you still at the dance studio?

[flatteries]

Yeah, I was about to lock up and leave to go home.

Do you want to meet me in the park? I can pick up something nice to eat.

[flatteries]

Sure!

[ Not that he knows why Taiki is doing this. But his brother is nice to him so often that this doesn't strike him as too odd. ]

Let's meet each other by the bench near the pond. I'll see you there! :)

I'll see you soon then! [He heads over, but not before he goes to pick up some vegan ice cream from one of the new cafes that had opened recently.

He arrives at the pond not too long after Inigo.] Do you want Honeycomb or double chocolate?

[flatteries]

[ Inigo is indeed already there when Taiki shows up, having sat down on a bench near the pond. The moment the other is showing up with the ice cream, he's holding out his hands, reaching for it like a toddler until it's given to him. ]

Honeycomb, please!

[ He already figures it's vegan ice cream, but Inigo doesn't mind. Growing up together with Taiki, he's gotten used to the fact that the other is vegan, which means Inigo often eats vegan things too. ]

Hehe, I can't believe you're treating me with ice cream! You always know the way to my heart.

[He can't help but smile when he sees how keep Inigo is for the ice cream. He hands it over and goes to sit next to him.]

How could I not? When you were so brave at putting yourself out there like that?

[flatteries]

Well, I had to do it sometime.

[ But even as he's talking, he's already busy quickly eating some ice inbetween. Apparently someone here is entirely fearless about brainfreeze. ]

It's not like the opportunities are going to come to me if I just hide away in the studio. And even if they might not come this way either.. At least it means I tried, right?

[Inigo is the bravest ice cream eater. Taiki eats his ice cream a lot slower.]

Exactly. No one can say you didn't try your best. [If they do they will have to go through Taiki.]

[flatteries]

[ N-No one should have to face the fearsome Taiki.. Who could win in a situation like that!! ]

.. how about you? [ He pauses for a moment - probably to shove some more ice cream into his mouth - before adding: ] How was your day?

It was alright, just a bit worrying with everything that is going on. [He waves upwards though doesn't look up at the colourful sky.]

[flatteries]

[ Inigo gently leans over towards Taiki, bumping his shoulder against his brother's. ]

I'm sure it'll be fine.

[ Even though there's a lot going on, to a point that it's kind of overwhelming. This might be the first place he's been to today where the announcements weren't being blared all over the place, actually.. ]

It seems like they're pretty on top of the problem. Once they're done taking care of those Voidtreckers, then they'll probably figure out what's up with the sky too.

I hope so. [He sighed, leaning towards him as he ate his ice cream.]

I just hope there won't be any fighting...

[flatteries]

If that happens, I'll pick you up and take you faaaar away from it.

[ He's mostly just being playful, trying to make this seem less serious than it is. A little more light. (Also, who knows if Inigo could even carry Taiki. It's not like his power is super strength. But that just makes it more of a joke.)

Hence why he's still lightly bumping into Taiki. ]

You know you can count on your brother!

Thank you. [He just hates violence, he always has done ever since he was a child. He might be the one who tried to protect Inigo but the moment anyone even raised their voice never mind a fist he would rather be far away.]
