Hey! Wei Wuxian, Blue Team, chatting at everyone but: who of you all have found one or the same crouched statue with the horns here?

I've been, ah, relating with it, energies wise, and it's been sharing some impressions and trying to find a form of our energies that work together. This world definitely doesn't accept our energies as they are, outside of us, but especially those of you with energy to spare—consider offering some to a crouching statue that looks like our lovely locals.

I don't know if anyone has had the same experience, but! In exchanging with the statue, so far it feels like the winged things either are part of distributing a bad form of energy, perhaps red, with the islands. It's causing disruption, pain, places that aren't healing, and might be tied into what we're here helping fix. Be on the lookout as people start spreading out to the other island: don't trust anything flying if it's not one of the Trainlings, and tracking after what does fly might point to the source of some disruptions that need righting here.

Um, that red energy.. That's what the message before we landed called the 'red storms', right?

[ Madoka might not have spoken with the statues - speaking with statues, how did anyone even get that idea - but she does remember that much. ]

But you're saying those statues didn't know where it was coming from either?

Takechirou spoke to it for a while. [In a loose sense. Kiyoiri sounds perhaps a bit...resigned?? Tired?] They are allies, but they are also a bad influence...Instead of a normal Heroic Spirit, it seems they convinced him to choose a dinosaur.

[The Forever Ones were right here! When you can be anything, always choose a dinosaur!!]

Looking for Red will be a good method to find what we need to stop though, it seems then.... ....though please do not attack Takechirou even though their eyes are red right now. It's natural.

[Over the audio can be heard a guttural T-Rex roar. Not quite as loud as one would expect, but still perhaps alarming.]

For the statues...if we can commune with all of them, it will be good- it might help them, as well.

[At the very least they'll probably get really excited about the dinosaur if this one was any sign.]

[When Elidibus offers his information, he sounds a bit tired or distracted. A lingering headache and some exhaustion to be precise, but it could be something near his location that has his attention too.]

I've relevant information about the statue you speak of, adding to what you've discovered.

The beings within the statues are known as "Forever Ones" by this Star. The one near the bridge leading to the eastern island calls itself Hemla. The Forever One refers to itself as a 'heart' of the island. I'm not certain if there is one for each or a multitude. Hemla explained it has been unable to connect to the others of its kind. Something disrupts their bond.

[Elidibus pauses. Those near him during this communication may witness him rub briefly at his temples before continuing. He is currently resting in the base camp.]

The Forever One spoke of a school of sages. Cross the bridge near the statue. There will be a large settlement with homes built into the hills. And a circular building that is a place of study. Hemla recommends we seek aid there.

[There is a little more involved but he pauses a little to see if anyone wants to comment or question what he's spoken about so far.]

[Hm.] Apparently Hemla enjoys dinosaurs.

...She also gave Takechirou flowers, so this may help to convince them if we go. I'll make sure to go East first, then- they may have some unique medical supplies and advice for the West, too...

Thank you, Elidibus, that clarifies what Helma was telling me through memory and emotion. Give me a moment, I'm trying to recall... Enshall? Enshala? Enshala, in the South. Mamali, Omarkin? Omerka, I think, and Inij, no, Inji, Rosha, all to the East. Shrinlo to the West, heart of Helma. Helma had to cut off contact to the other islands to buckle down and face the storm when it came, and what effects from it linger are the ones turning minds and poisoning the landscape.

From the sounds of it, making contact with these Forever Ones, Mamali, Omerka, Inji, and Rosha, on the East island is going to be important. May be how we find a means to help the other regions.

As for the other regions—take care. People and animals may be acting out of character because of the influences of what was brought in by the storm.

I also plan to go east and seek out this settlement, if you would care to journey together. Though I do not plan to stay long. My official duties lie in the west.

[Staying long might be a relative term to an Immortal, but he is keeping track of time.]

Thank you for sharing the names you have learned. [Obviously this is directed toward Wei Wuxian] Did you have difficulty speaking so directly to the Forever One?

Hemla did not appear to feel the storm's origin was from that of an 'outsider'. Something other yes. But not something alien that this world would reject.

You are probably aware, but the aether of this world reacts in strong opposition to our presence. Have a care with this in mind. Your aether.... magic energy, inner power. Whatever your world has labeled it. Use it with discretion in mind.

I am talking to the natives, I'll see if we can find any more of the statues or if they can direct us to them. Are they the aid that Hemla mentioned?

Thank you for the warning about energy, I have been having to use twice as much as I should to get the desired effect.

I believe in particular Hemla was seeking to direct me to the east island. There is a school of sages in a large settlement who may be able to offer some insight.

Thus it depends on which natives you are currently speaking to and where.

Have a care on your reserves as well. It's unlikely this world will provide a resource to restore what is used. Abilities which have a direct impact on the environment surrounding you will oft backfire. Though there is some success in using lesser effects or restraining the output of greater works.

These statues, the Forever Ones, are they nature spirits? Deities?

[ Thanatos knows the potential for godly politics and the trouble it causes. He would like to avoid that. ]

Did you feel repelled by it, by any chance? The statue.

Hm. It's difficult to say, as I'm having trouble understanding this Star's aether. Its effort to repel us is not normal and would generally be an effort born of intent. I didn't feel any true threat from the statue, despite the discomfort.

The Forever One I spoke to was not the will behind this intent however. Though it was painful to communicate directly, Hemla went out of its way to contrive a means to lessen the discomfort and guide me toward this world's sages.

[There is a short pause where Elidibus considers the nature of the Forever Ones. His answer sounds a little discomforted, as if he doesn't like to admit he's unsure or doesn't like to speak on things he's unsure of.]

I don't have an answer as to what others might consider them. They do not seem to be impulses given form. This world may well consider them deities. They may be the native people ascended to a state close to my own. They might be what I know as Elementals. This might be closest to what call nature spirits? [He's unsure here.] I plan to speak to the sages soon and see if their insight can provide clues.

[Elidibus isn't used to not being capable of having difficulties in reading, manipulating or controlling aether around him. This early, there's precious little in comparison to that which he's come to learn.]

Perhaps Wei Wuxian, who learned more of the identities will have insight on whether all of them will be receptive. But given the crisis, I would advise caution. Some may lash out any who approach, simply because of the danger they are facing.

Their ranks grow, or shift, and they anchor to their islands as defenders in some fashion. Helma indicated that the North lacks a Forever One yet, but intends to have one, though how soon I couldn't say.

( Which is slightly off topic, but he says this all conversationally enough, thinking. )

Elidibus, you're heading to the East? My impression from Helma is they were all hit, starting at least with the South, East not responding when the call came from South that something was here. West was contacted by Helma, and has an importance of the heart attached; Helma cut contact to ready to face the storm. I think offering ourselves as points of contact, offering our energy and speaking to them, is about the best we can do as an overture, and only if we see signs of infection by whatever's messing with minds that we should be more cautious in approach.

Though I wonder how the influencing works, if it's environmental or establishes on individuals... and who's directing in. The things which flew in with the storm?

So, they are different than those rocks on the west island.

[ Thanatos mumbles. It's good to know either way. About the repulsion at least. ]

I will leave the diplomacy in your hands, but if they are gods, then please let me know.

[ But he won't like it. He remembers how he reacted to Chaos forcing a memory on him. He doesn't want to relive that again. Especially so soon. ]

Hmm, I see. I will keep your suggestions in mind. And yes I will go east to see if I can meet with the sages. Then I'll depart for the west. I will share my findings when there are matters to report.

[Then to Thanatos. Elidibus sounds... amused.]

To many on this train, Thanatos, I am a deity. To me you are in most respects a fellow man. What I find to the east or west I will tell you and let you make your own judgment.

I am on east island, these locals appear if not friendly at least open to offers of aid. I will head to the school of sages as soon as possible once we have made arrangements.

While I did not feel rejected, the energy was certainly foreign and left a large headache behind.

[ Thanatos frowns. A fellow man? No, he was born a god, and they are not alike in nature. He thinks about what Q'uila told him. That wariness despite her words linger.

So, he's just going to reply to Wei Wuxian. ]

Maybe the two aren't connected, or maybe there are different kinds of minerals which influence different feelings or reactions. Different functions.

[ He should probably leave this to the science types to figure out. This is not a field of expertise for him. ]

[Elidibus had meant it only as an observation of perspective; particularly those of different worlds and realities. It was not intended as a point of conversation and so Thanatos avoiding any answer doesn't trouble him. It's certainly reasonable to be at least a little offended to be seemingly called something one is not.]

I also suffered pain from the interaction, though the Forever One attempted to lessen the burden. The lifeblood of this world may strive to repel us, but it seems not all here mean us harm.

[To Thanatos]

Thanatos, I recall you are numbered among the red team. Will you be focusing your efforts in the west for this mission? If so, we may meet in person as I will be there in due time. If you want to discuss what I've learned in person, pray inform me.

I will be with the Red Team as long as I can contribute in some fashion. Right now, my role is largely supportive.

[ And then he will be unable to help at a certain point and ends up on the south island. ]
