I have to help them. I just keep focusing on how important this is, and I think that's interfering somehow.

Not want. Need. I feel it is possibly the most valuable thing to health and happiness we could entertain adding.

The voting is assigned by the Voidtrecker Express. But it seems so far to be based on the level of technology and how much the request is judged to be a an improvement to the well-being of the passengers as a whole, rather than personal desire. These factors might have exceptions.
I'd expect to see a voting assignment in the 400-800 range.
un: heirofthedog
I am not quite as certain, as a previous request of mine was for the comfort and ability to actually sleep without undue unpleasantness for anyone over two yalms in height, and it was assigned a considerable price in spite of many passengers being in the range of Garlean average instead of Eorzean.
I don't think there's a single suggestion anyone might make that would be truly altruistic.

I mean, I asked for somewhere the pets could be kept more nicely and it was gonna cost a truckload, but then surprise! Train added it anyway!
Even kept all the votes I put in, used them toward a small upgrade for Amar
(Looking forward to shearing with a decent table)
Way I see it, ask, vote, and maybe it'll just happen anyway who knows.
Whoops, missed this.

to help with trying to find the tethers. so we can see their faces again
train said it'll give us the list
un: closingcases
If I can use the computer and printer in Standard to do it, I can try. I'm mostly familiar with stuff like the laptops and phones from my world though, so connecting to the train might be a bit tricky.]

Hello Trainlings! What've you encountered in your dives into the Archives for research? Let's do some sharing here, and I'll start us off.
When looking into finding out about situations like Chaos, where something entered the Void but wasn't destroyed by it and could instead retain itself moving through, I found a few interesting pieces. Or more one interesting book on the subject.
( he picks up his notebook, glancing at it and then smiling again at the camera. )
It's something that's happened before, difficult and close to impossible since you need a body and mind capable of withstanding the void. Most examples in history the book referenced ended in death or insanity for the one traveling, and the one case that sounded most like our friend Chaos was a few hundred years ago. That being appeared to have absorbed some of the Void itself, traveling it without a craft and slipping into other systems. Unlike Chaos, who kept trying to reconstruct what was lost, it went around trying to crack worlds open to the void, to allow others to find the, ah, same enlightenment it had discovered.
Glad that's not the one we met, as it was. So!
( notebook set down, he claps his hands, grinning encouragingly at the camera. )
That was me, so who else found anything noteworthy?

[Y’know, on the off chance they have to deal with That Too down the line.]
As for myself, I did find a recording from two individuals calling themselves G’hali and T’reik. They claimed to have been from system number… [Slight pause, and then the number itself is very carefully recited, making it clear Rezo is reading it off:] …3921994757549201. And that the system in question was devoured.
The video is dated with the void year of [another careful recitation] 729.345.15.531. Which translates for most of us to about five years ago.
If anyone would like to see the footage, I have it on hand in the archives right now. I am also currently trying to find a way to upload it to this network. [TECHNOLOGY...]

This author claims it's possible to communicate with the dead through the void if they were buried in the river. I've wondered if the void touches what we often term the afterlife, which I believe is merely another dimension. So it should be possible.

I have found a book discussing theories on using the Void for time travel, albeit a skeptical one that emphasizes the dangers of using such methods to travel more than a few hours into the past, or to visit a time and place where one has already been. It makes brief mention of Voidcraft capable of undertaking what ours terms 'catastrophe missions', wherein it arrives immediately prior to an apocalyptic event that has technically already occurred.
The bulk of the research on said subject comes from system... [He pauses to flip through to a bookmark.] X9347592, which is outside of Ministry control. The information I've found on the system suggests it is outside of any control, and is the sort of place one might go to if they wished to avoid being found.

About the only useful thing that group spouted off was some tips for meditation and communicating with others in the void. They called it adding your voice to the so. Since we're trying to communicate with other tethers, I wrote up what they had and took out all the extra dumb parts, so people can see if those tips work in helping them find any of our missing people, or the Voidtrecker's?

At least, I think so.
It's a website called "Dreams of Diagad: Purple Skies what do they mean?". A lot of the stories here talk about visiting Diagad in their dreams, skies of purple and having nightmares with strange shapes in the sky.
However, the dreams stopped about six months ago... that's when we were dragged in and that Chaos creature brainwashed us, if I remember right... Though, they don't know why they stopped - we do: the Ministry did it. There's a whole bunch of theories from the users, though.

un: SEBEKZIGVOLT | voice (sob another "what's a username?")
They think the Ministry blew it up. There's something that seems to reference the train and us. They also say a rival organization from the X Systems wants to destroy the Void Ministry. Or that the shapes are just monsters from somewhere or natural for the Void.
If anything, it shows that people know Osiga is gone and are also trying to understand what happened.

I wasn't entirely sure how seriously to take the claim at first... but later, there are references to swarms destroying worlds. And screaming.
